It is likely, if she is in a muslim country, the children are considered to be Muslim already. In their schools they teach everyone to be muslim. This is not like living with a disobedient spouse. It is a marriage that God would not join together in the first place.
https://christianchat.com/christian...who-worships-a-false-god.189212/#post-4109069

If two Christians were talking about which church we should take our children to, trying both churches makes sense.
But, if it is a choice relating to people worshiping different gods, that makes it different.

Since, the children are exposed almost 24 7 to the false religion of Islam, then it makes sense to expose them to the True Jesus, God of the Universe. In Some Muslim countries it is illegal for a Muslim which the children are automatically are to visit a Christian Church.
In such a context, the advice of finding a way to leave that country with the children makes sense. Imagine the problems one would have getting Hilary Clinton as an US Ambassador to help.
Yes I know about muslim countries from what I read and islam is straight from hell sending billions to hell, she understands this well .. It was my judgment Klara needed a little genuine love and encouragement with method of standing ground .. Your suggestion of David Wood videos is excellent in educating/exposing Islam and so is Zachariah Boutros his problem is many of his videos are in a foreign language but he was the most wanted man in Islam , he slayed all the muslim clerics with Jesus, the Word and his testimony in his debates he was also an authority on the qu'ran and Islamic teachings, his brother was martyred many years ago ... God Bless Bro ..

Islam is taught in their schools. And, what he said is very aggressive otherwise he would not be "praying" in front of them which breaks the terms of the agreement. I wonder if you really understand Muslim cultures. I live near Dearborn Michigan and taught in their schools. I have also done missionary work in Dearborn and led many of my former students to Jesus.
I spent 12 years in the country with the largest Muslim population, but not the most radical in terms of violence, etc. I have some Muslim sister-in-laws and a brother-in-law. I worked with Muslims for years.

I fully agree with the part I highlighted.

I already dealt with the two proof texts in another post. In the yoke text, it is not God joining them together, it is the people only doing the joining. God is not part of the marriage of two non-believers. ---- at least to my knowledge.
What is this based on? Matthew 19 is addressed to Jews, not Christians. Adam and Eve are physical ancestors of pagans, Jews, Christians, and atheists. Marriage is for mankind. God established marriage.

There is this guy on YouTube teaching that if Jesus did not direct two people to get married, their marriage may not be legit. It's an institution that God set in order.

Christians should not get married to unbelievers. But some do. And some people convert after marriage. But the Bible gives instructions to those who are married to unbelievers.

Paul does not tell the one married to an unbeliever that God did not join them. Neither did Peter.

And regarding II Corinthians 6, Islam is against literal, physical idolatry.

TheLearner,

The Bible never teaches that marriages are ordained by a Christian minister declaring two people joined together. That's most likely Christians adapting the Roman ceremony, which formerly was pagan.

TheLearner,

Come to think of it, I did not finish that McGravin book. I think i read parts of it overseas in a campus library where I did not have a right to check out books.

This was the general gist of what I read. There is a section that presented the problem of having imported foreign missionaries, like some of the English missions in the 1800's where they would send foreign ordained clergymen in to minister at missions stations. Some stations gave out rice, and hence the term 'rice Christians.' It took a long time to raise up local leadership using this model.

The part more relevant to what we are discussion has to do with the individualistic approach of some western mission approaches. Some American missionaries, for example, would so emphasize individual salvation that they would not try to win families. For example, win the young adult son, but not the parents, and end up with a church of young people. Another approach is for the missionary to evangelize the son, and then use that child's relationship with the parents to try to win them and their social network. Cornelius gathered his friends and close relatives to hear Peter in his house.

A household could be large back then, including slaves and various relatives. We read about the household of Stephanus involved in ministry, greetings from Paul to households, and Paul telling a jailer to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and he would be saved and all his house.

So some missions approaches seek to win the head of household, the head of the tribe, etc. if the head converts, it is easier for others in the household to convert. And in some collectivist groups, decision-making may be a somewhat collective approach, and they may even consider converting as a family.

One example he gave was of a German missionary sent by Lutheran and Reformed churches who sought to win families and clans. I know descendants of his converts and I have seen the inner workings of cultural family meetings and a little of their decision making. Parents are highly regarded and so are grandparents and other older, relatives. So I could see how parents converting could very much help spread the gospel among the children.

McGravin called the relationships through which the Gospel spreads 'bridges of God.'

Submission in this case is to teach the children to follow a false god. I think that goes beyond just being disobedient to the word.

2 John 10 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
10 Don’t accept those who come to you but do not bring this teaching. Don’t invite them into your house. Don’t welcome them in any way.

7 Many false teachers are in the world now. They refuse to say that Jesus Christ came to earth and became a man. Anyone who refuses to accept this fact is a false teacher and the enemy of Christ. 8 Be careful! Don’t lose the reward we[d] have worked for. Be careful so that you will receive all of that reward.

9 Everyone must continue to follow only the teaching about Christ. Whoever changes that teaching does not have God. But whoever continues to follow the teaching about Christ has both the Father and his Son. 10 Don’t accept those who come to you but do not bring this teaching. Don’t invite them into your house. Don’t welcome them in any way. 11 If you do, you are helping them with their evil work.

Philippians 2:5-11 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

5 In your life together, think the way Christ Jesus thought.

6 He was like God in every way,
but he did not think that his being equal with God was something to use for his own benefit.
7 Instead, he gave up everything, even his place with God.
He accepted the role of a servant, appearing in human form.
During his life as a man,
8 he humbled himself by being fully obedient to God,
even when that caused his death—death on a cross.
9 So God raised him up to the most important place
and gave him the name that is greater than any other name.
10 God did this so that every person will bow down to honor the name of Jesus.
Everyone in heaven, on earth, and under the earth will bow.
11 They will all confess, “Jesus Christ is Lord,”
and this will bring glory to God the Father.

When I was in the Airforce and doing "temporary duty" in Muslims Countries, I disobeyed orders that were contrary to what the Bible teaches. I drove the Chaplins nuts when we discussed those events. People were coming to Jesus through my disobedience.

I am praying your husband runs across someone like me there.
You don't get to throw out what is written for what you want.
The fact is she married a heathen and had children with him.
She will teach them her beliefs and he will teach them his, and they will choose for themselves.
There is no provision in God's word that allows her to do anything other than what God calls a wife to be.

This is a difficult situation. I can guess at the religion since I can think of one religion which has a lot of adherents in the world that really emphasizes prayer rituals and where they go to places of prayer.

There are people who are quite skilled at evangelizing those of this religion because their religious text has a lot of common ground with the Bible in that it calls Jesus a prophet and even the word of God, and endorses the Torah, Psalms, and Gospel. That is a good starting point for telling someone if they want to do right in their own religion, they need to read the Bible, too. Sometimes it is easier for a man to hear from people other that his wife.

Men in this religion may marry Jews and Christians, but women may not because the man is the head of the household. Historically, it was probably expected that the children would follow the father in religion. Jews and Christians are 'people of the book', so the men can marry them.

I see a problem with deciding to divorce over this. Paul said to the one married to an unbeliever if the unbeliever is willing not to depart, and that the children are sanctified by the believing wife, or husband. That is a promise you can hold on to, that the Lord sets such children apart. Also, in the Old Testament, a woman divorcing her husband wasn't valid. Jesus, in the New Testament scriptures, takes away the divorce rights a lot of people thought they had from the Old Testament.

Paul also asks how do you know, O wife, whether thou shalt save they husband. A husband can be saved through a wife's testimony. Peter taught submission combined with respectful ('with fear') and pure conduct as a means for wives to win their husbands.

If he only takes them to his prayer place if you take them to church, then is he not taking them? Do they go for annual holidays or participate in fasts? I'm torn on whether it would be appropriate to take them to church and let them go to his prayer place or just teach them at home. If they haven't been baptized yet, many churches would not want to serve them communion anyway.

He probably is not around the children every second you are around them. There are probably opportunities to teach them about Christ while he is not around.

I have known Christians raised in similar circumstances, where one parent was from this religion I mentioned and the other was a Christian. They would go to the prostration prayer buildings and church meetings and participate in most holidays, but eventually came to faith in Christ and joined in fellowship with other believers.

I heard a testimony from a man who was entrenched in this religion. His Christian wife constantly prayed for him. He rose to the rank of general in the army, and eventually repented and became a Christian after hearing the message of Jesus for years and having a dream. Then he got baptized. People posted it on the Internet and then the army took away his office (the room I mean) and his role their was kind of unclear.
Thank you for all what u have said in here , as I mention where there is 2 religions in one marriage is confusing the children’s so as I want my children to follow my religion the first thing and the most difficult part is to convince my partner that our children will do so , and till now this is the difficult part. With the God help and prayers as other members said If is the willing of God it will happen . This situation I understood only now that I have joy to sing with my children the song a of our savior of our God .

It is clear he is Muslim, Take them to Church. If you are in a Muslim Country, they will be teaching them Islam anyways.
Also, what were you thinking about letting him move you to a Muslim Country.

"
Deception, Lying
and Taqiyya

Does Islam permit Muslims to lie?

Muslim scholars teach that Muslims should generally be truthful to each other, unless the purpose of lying is to "smooth over differences" or "gain the upper-hand over an enemy"
There are several forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, the best known being taqiyya (the Shia name). These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause of Islam - in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them.
Quran
Quran (16:106) - Establishes that there are circumstances that can "compel" a Muslim to tell a lie.
Quran (3:28) - This verse tells Muslims not to take those outside the faith as friends, unless it is to "guard themselves" against danger, meaning that there are times when a Muslim may appear friendly to non-Muslims, even though they should not feel friendly.
Quran (9:3) - "...Allah and His Messenger are free from liability to the idolaters..." The dissolution of oaths is with pagans who remained at Mecca following its capture. They did nothing wrong, but were evicted anyway. (The next verse refers only to those who have a personal agreement with Muhammad as individuals - see Ibn Kathir vol 4, p 49)
Quran (66:2) - "Allah has already ordained for you the dissolution of your oaths..."
Quran (40:28) - A man is introduced as a believer, but one who had to "hide his faith" among those who are not believers.
Quran (2:225) - "Allah will not call you to account for thoughtlessness in your oaths, but for the intention in your hearts" (see also 5:89)
Quran (3:54) - "And they (the disbelievers) schemed, and Allah schemed (against them): and Allah is the best of schemers." The Arabic word used here for scheme (or plot) is makara, which means 'cunning,' 'guile' and 'deceit'. If Allah is supremely deceitful toward unbelievers, then there is little basis for denying that Muslims are allowed to do the same. (See also 8:30 and 10:21)
Taken collectively these verses are interpreted to mean that there are circumstances when a Muslim may be "compelled" to deceive others for a greater purpose.
Hadith and Sira
Sahih Bukhari (52:269) - "The Prophet said, 'War is deceit.'" The context of this is thought to be the murder of Usayr ibn Zarim and his thirty unarmed companions by Muhammad's men after they were "guaranteed" safe passage (see Additional Notes below).

Sahih Bukhari (49:857) - "He who makes peace between the people by inventing good information or saying good things, is not a liar." Lying is permitted when the end justifies the means.

Sahih Bukhari (84:64-65) - Speaking from a position of power at the time, Ali confirms that lying is permitted in order to deceive an "enemy." The Quran defines the 'enemy' as "disbelievers" (4:101).

Sahih Muslim (32:6303) - "...he did not hear that exemption was granted in anything what the people speak as lie but in three cases: in battle, for bringing reconciliation amongst persons and the narration of the words of the husband to his wife, and the narration of the words of a wife to her husband (in a twisted form in order to bring reconciliation between them)."

Sahih Bukhari (50:369) - Recounts the murder of a poet, Ka'b bin al-Ashraf, at Muhammad's insistence. The men who volunteered for the assassination used dishonesty to gain Ka'b's trust, pretending that they had turned against Muhammad. This drew the victim out of his fortress, whereupon he was brutally slaughtered.

Teach them about Jesus, Start with

‘Our Father in heaven,
we pray that your name will always be kept holy.
We pray that your kingdom will come—
that what you want will be done here on earth, the same as in heaven.
Give us the food we need for today.
Forgive our sins,
just as we have forgiven those who did wrong to us.
Don’t let us be tempted,
but save us from the Evil One.

John 3:8-21 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
8 The wind blows wherever it wants to. You hear it, but you don’t know where it is coming from or where it is going. It is the same with everyone who is born from the Spirit.”

9 Nicodemus asked, “How is all this possible?”

10 Jesus said, “You are an important teacher of Israel, and you still don’t understand these things? 11 The truth is, we talk about what we know. We tell about what we have seen. But you people don’t accept what we tell you. 12 I have told you about things here on earth, but you do not believe me. So I’m sure you will not believe me if I tell you about heavenly things! 13 The only one who has ever gone up to heaven is the one who came down from heaven—the Son of Man.

14 “Moses lifted up the snake in the desert.[a] It is the same with the Son of Man. He must be lifted up too. 15 Then everyone who believes in him can have eternal life.”

16 Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world. He did not send him to judge the world guilty, but to save the world through him. 18 People who believe in God’s Son are not judged guilty. But people who do not believe are already judged, because they have not believed in God’s only Son. 19 They are judged by this fact: The light[c] has come into the world. But they did not want light. They wanted darkness, because they were doing evil things. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light. They will not come to the light, because the light will show all the bad things they have done. 21 But anyone who follows the true way comes to the light. Then the light will show that whatever they have done was done through God.

Explain that Son in the relationship with the Father is a relationship. Not God having a Mother God that gave birth to the Son.
Son in the Bible also is royal between God's King and himself.

A King and maybe a Messiah was considered to be God's son by adoption.

If you are in a Muslim Country, they are teaching them about Islam in School. So, it is time to play catch up. It is allowed to lie to Christians or Non-Muslims to be more specific to gain an advantage. I already posted three posts on that.
God bless you.
U wrote amazing things . I wish the time to teach them all this to come soon .

God does not bring together a Christian and a Non Christian. That is not a marriage with God's Blessing.
Such a marriage does not fall under God's blessing when one is teaching the Children to follow a false god.

The True God had a son, Allah has daughters.

1 Corinthians 7:15 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
15 But if the husband or wife who is not a believer decides to leave, let them leave. When this happens, the brother or sister in Christ is free. God chose you to have a life of peace.

He left your marriage when he started teaching about his false god.
Whatever his belive is , if is the willing of God he will make my husband accept, as for me , my happiness and the only way is to believe in God and to live as he want me to live . I wish the God will consider my mistakes for the nonbeliever husband and will open the way for me to teach my children his only way. 🙏

Hello to all members!
I am new in this forum , and I started to discover this forum just now that I need a light 💡 in my life . My name is Klara and I am Christian from 2011. I love the God and he has done many miracles on my life , I am greatful for all he has done on my life . 8 years ago I married to my actual husband (not the same religion as me) and we have 2 children , 3 and 2 years old .During our marriage he was practicing his religion and I was beliving on our savior Jesus there was no problem between us for the religion .i stayed strong on my religion even if I lived in places that Christianity isn’t for them a religion. Now I am struggling cuz I have 2 children and I want them to be Christian as me but my husband (different religion) saying that the children will take his religion . I don’t know how to help my children to teach them for Christianity and Jesus Christ , I can’t even take them to church as my husband is telling me “if u take them to church I will take them to the place where I go to pray as well “so pls what advice can give me ? As I noticed lately my husband started to do his ritual of pray Infront of my children everywhere they are he is going beside them and he is praying Infront of them even if it is too much noise around the room area where my children is playing, i belive he is doing this on purpose but I can’t tell him anything for why he is doing that . Please any advice for me to keep my children on my religion ? I feel so alone as I am in this situation all alone and don’t know what to do to direct my children’s to Christianity .pls advice
Blessed day for all members.
I would like to make an update on my topic that I been asking in here.
After beliving and praying to our Lord , my husband and I , agreed finally that our children to be raise as Christians . I am feeling blessed and I am impressed that God is giving me this miracle, I am speachless as it turned out from the impossible to the possible. Glory be to God . 🙏🙏 thank you my Lord .
