a word of encouragement

keep believing God will save you...and your household. Rahab had heard of how the Israelites had crossed the red Sea on dry land, she risked her life to save others in her household/family by putting out the scarlet cord cos she believed the spies. He can do the same for you and your household.

those who obeyed God and placed the blood of the lamb on their doorposts, the angel of death passed over them, You've got to do the same (spiritually) for members of your family.

This is a difficult situation. I can guess at the religion since I can think of one religion which has a lot of adherents in the world that really emphasizes prayer rituals and where they go to places of prayer.

There are people who are quite skilled at evangelizing those of this religion because their religious text has a lot of common ground with the Bible in that it calls Jesus a prophet and even the word of God, and endorses the Torah, Psalms, and Gospel. That is a good starting point for telling someone if they want to do right in their own religion, they need to read the Bible, too. Sometimes it is easier for a man to hear from people other that his wife.

Men in this religion may marry Jews and Christians, but women may not because the man is the head of the household. Historically, it was probably expected that the children would follow the father in religion. Jews and Christians are 'people of the book', so the men can marry them.

I see a problem with deciding to divorce over this. Paul said to the one married to an unbeliever if the unbeliever is willing not to depart, and that the children are sanctified by the believing wife, or husband. That is a promise you can hold on to, that the Lord sets such children apart. Also, in the Old Testament, a woman divorcing her husband wasn't valid. Jesus, in the New Testament scriptures, takes away the divorce rights a lot of people thought they had from the Old Testament.

Paul also asks how do you know, O wife, whether thou shalt save they husband. A husband can be saved through a wife's testimony. Peter taught submission combined with respectful ('with fear') and pure conduct as a means for wives to win their husbands.

If he only takes them to his prayer place if you take them to church, then is he not taking them? Do they go for annual holidays or participate in fasts? I'm torn on whether it would be appropriate to take them to church and let them go to his prayer place or just teach them at home. If they haven't been baptized yet, many churches would not want to serve them communion anyway.

He probably is not around the children every second you are around them. There are probably opportunities to teach them about Christ while he is not around.

I have known Christians raised in similar circumstances, where one parent was from this religion I mentioned and the other was a Christian. They would go to the prostration prayer buildings and church meetings and participate in most holidays, but eventually came to faith in Christ and joined in fellowship with other believers.

I heard a testimony from a man who was entrenched in this religion. His Christian wife constantly prayed for him. He rose to the rank of general in the army, and eventually repented and became a Christian after hearing the message of Jesus for years and having a dream. Then he got baptized. People posted it on the Internet and then the army took away his office (the room I mean) and his role their was kind of unclear.

Hello to all members!
I am new in this forum , and I started to discover this forum just now that I need a light 💡 in my life . My name is Klara and I am Christian from 2011. I love the God and he has done many miracles on my life , I am greatful for all he has done on my life . 8 years ago I married to my actual husband (not the same religion as me) and we have 2 children , 3 and 2 years old .During our marriage he was practicing his religion and I was beliving on our savior Jesus there was no problem between us for the religion .i stayed strong on my religion even if I lived in places that Christianity isn’t for them a religion. Now I am struggling cuz I have 2 children and I want them to be Christian as me but my husband (different religion) saying that the children will take his religion . I don’t know how to help my children to teach them for Christianity and Jesus Christ , I can’t even take them to church as my husband is telling me “if u take them to church I will take them to the place where I go to pray as well “so pls what advice can give me ? As I noticed lately my husband started to do his ritual of pray Infront of my children everywhere they are he is going beside them and he is praying Infront of them even if it is too much noise around the room area where my children is playing, i belive he is doing this on purpose but I can’t tell him anything for why he is doing that . Please any advice for me to keep my children on my religion ? I feel so alone as I am in this situation all alone and don’t know what to do to direct my children’s to Christianity .pls advice

It is clear he is Muslim, Take them to Church. If you are in a Muslim Country, they will be teaching them Islam anyways.
Also, what were you thinking about letting him move you to a Muslim Country.

Deception, Lying
and Taqiyya

Does Islam permit Muslims to lie?

Muslim scholars teach that Muslims should generally be truthful to each other, unless the purpose of lying is to "smooth over differences" or "gain the upper-hand over an enemy"
There are several forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, the best known being taqiyya (the Shia name). These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause of Islam - in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them.
Quran
Quran (16:106) - Establishes that there are circumstances that can "compel" a Muslim to tell a lie.
Quran (3:28) - This verse tells Muslims not to take those outside the faith as friends, unless it is to "guard themselves" against danger, meaning that there are times when a Muslim may appear friendly to non-Muslims, even though they should not feel friendly.
Quran (9:3) - "...Allah and His Messenger are free from liability to the idolaters..." The dissolution of oaths is with pagans who remained at Mecca following its capture. They did nothing wrong, but were evicted anyway. (The next verse refers only to those who have a personal agreement with Muhammad as individuals - see Ibn Kathir vol 4, p 49)
Quran (66:2) - "Allah has already ordained for you the dissolution of your oaths..."
Quran (40:28) - A man is introduced as a believer, but one who had to "hide his faith" among those who are not believers.
Quran (2:225) - "Allah will not call you to account for thoughtlessness in your oaths, but for the intention in your hearts" (see also 5:89)
Quran (3:54) - "And they (the disbelievers) schemed, and Allah schemed (against them): and Allah is the best of schemers." The Arabic word used here for scheme (or plot) is makara, which means 'cunning,' 'guile' and 'deceit'. If Allah is supremely deceitful toward unbelievers, then there is little basis for denying that Muslims are allowed to do the same. (See also 8:30 and 10:21)
Taken collectively these verses are interpreted to mean that there are circumstances when a Muslim may be "compelled" to deceive others for a greater purpose.
Hadith and Sira
Sahih Bukhari (52:269) - "The Prophet said, 'War is deceit.'" The context of this is thought to be the murder of Usayr ibn Zarim and his thirty unarmed companions by Muhammad's men after they were "guaranteed" safe passage (see Additional Notes below).

Sahih Bukhari (49:857) - "He who makes peace between the people by inventing good information or saying good things, is not a liar." Lying is permitted when the end justifies the means.

Sahih Bukhari (84:64-65) - Speaking from a position of power at the time, Ali confirms that lying is permitted in order to deceive an "enemy." The Quran defines the 'enemy' as "disbelievers" (4:101).

Sahih Muslim (32:6303) - "...he did not hear that exemption was granted in anything what the people speak as lie but in three cases: in battle, for bringing reconciliation amongst persons and the narration of the words of the husband to his wife, and the narration of the words of a wife to her husband (in a twisted form in order to bring reconciliation between them)."

Sahih Bukhari (50:369) - Recounts the murder of a poet, Ka'b bin al-Ashraf, at Muhammad's insistence. The men who volunteered for the assassination used dishonesty to gain Ka'b's trust, pretending that they had turned against Muhammad. This drew the victim out of his fortress, whereupon he was brutally slaughtered.

From Islamic Law:

Reliance of the Traveler (p. 746 - 8.2) - "Speaking is a means to achieve objectives. If a praiseworthy aim is attainable through both telling the truth and lying, it is unlawful to accomplish through lying because there is no need for it. When it is possible to achieve such an aim by lying but not by telling the truth, it is permissible to lie if attaining the goal is permissible (N:i.e. when the purpose of lying is to circumvent someone who is preventing one from doing something permissible), and obligatory to lie if the goal is obligatory... it is religiously precautionary in all cases to employ words that give a misleading impression... (See the Permissible Lying section on the Sharia page for more)

"One should compare the bad consequences entailed by lying to those entailed by telling the truth, and if the consequences of telling the truth are more damaging, one is entitled to lie.

Notes
The Hadith makes it clear that Muslims are allowed to lie to unbelievers in order to defeat them or protect themselves. There are several forms:

Taqiyya - Saying something that isn't true as it relates to the Muslim identity. This is a Shiite term: the Sunni counterpart is Muda'rat.

Kitman - Lying by omission. An example would be when Muslim apologists quote only a fragment of verse 5:32 (that if anyone kills "it shall be as if he had killed all mankind") while neglecting to mention that the rest of the verse (and the next) mandate murder in undefined cases of "corruption" and "mischief."

Tawriya - Intentionally creating a false impression.

Muruna - 'Blending in' by setting aside some practices of Islam or Sharia in order to advance others.

Though not called taqiyya by name, Muhammad clearly used deception when he signed a 10-year treaty with the Meccans (known as Hudaibiya) which allowed him access to their city while he secretly prepared his own forces for a takeover. The unsuspecting residents were conquered in easy fashion after he broke the treaty two years later. Some of the people in the city who had trusted him at his word were executed.

Another example of lying is when Muhammad used deception to trick his personal enemies into letting down their guard and exposing themselves to slaughter by pretending to seek peace. This happened in the case of Ka'b bin al-Ashraf (as previously noted) and later against Usayr ibn Zarim, a surviving leader of the Banu Nadir tribe, which had been evicted from their home in Medina by the Muslims.

At the time, Usayr ibn Zarim was attempting to gather an armed force against the Muslims from among a tribe allied with the Quraish (against which Muhammad had already declared war). Muhammad's "emissaries" went to ibn Zarim and persuaded him to leave his safe haven on the pretext of meeting with the prophet of Islam in Medina to discuss peace. Once vulnerable, the leader and his thirty companions were massacred by the Muslims with ease, probably because they were unarmed - having been given a guarantee of safe passage (Ibn Ishaq 981, Ibn Kathir v.4 p.300).

Such was the reputation of early Muslims for lying and killing that even those who "accepted Islam" did not feel entirely safe. Consider the fate of the Jadhima. When Muslim "missionaries" approached their tribe, one of the members insisted that they would be slaughtered even though they had already "converted" to Islam (to avoid just such a demise). However, the others insisted that they could trust the Muslim leader's promise that they would not be harmed if they simply offered no resistance. (After convincing the skeptic to lay down his arms, the unarmed men of the tribe were tied up and beheaded by the missionaries - Ibn Ishaq 834 & 837).

Today's apologists often rationalize Muhammad's murder of his critics at Medina by falsely claiming that they broke a treaty with their actions. Yet, these same apologists place little value on treaties broken by Muslims. From Muhammad to Saddam Hussein, promises made to non-Muslim are distinctly non-binding in the Muslim mindset.

Leaders in the Arab world sometimes say one thing to English-speaking audiences and then something entirely different to their own people in Arabic. Palestinian leaders routinely tell Westerners about their desire for peace with Israel, even as they whip Palestinians into a hateful and violent frenzy against Jews. Yassir Arafat even referenced "Hudaibiya" - an admission to conning guillible non-Muslims.

The 9/11 hijackers practiced deception by going into bars and drinking alcohol, thus throwing off potential suspicion that they were fundamentalists plotting jihad. This effort worked so well that John Walsh, the host of a popular American television show, claimed well after the fact that their bar trips were evidence of 'hypocrisy.'

The transmission from Flight 93 records the hijackers telling their doomed passengers that there is "a bomb on board" but that everyone will "be safe" as long as "their demands are met." Obviously none of this was true, but these men, who were so intensely devoted to Islam that they were willing to "slay and be slain for the cause of Allah" (as the Quran puts it) saw nothing wrong with employing taqiyya to facilitate their mission of mass murder.

The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) insists that it "has not now or ever been involved with the Muslim Brotherhood, or supported any covert, illegal, or terrorist activity or organization." In fact, it was created by the Muslim Brotherhood and has bankrolled Hamas. At least nine founders or board members of ISNA have been accused by prosecutors of supporting terrorism.

The notorious Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) is so well known for shamelessly lying about its ties to terror and extremism that books have been written on the subject. They take seriously the part of Sharia that says "it is permissible to lie if attaining the goal is permissible and obligatory to lie if the goal is obligatory". The goal being the ascendency of Islam (and Sharia itself) on the American landscape.

In 2007, CAIR's Ibrahim Hooper published an op-ed with a fabricated story about Muhammad that portrayed him as a forgiving man:
There was a lady who threw garbage in the path of the prophet on a daily basis. One day, she didn‘t do it. The prophet went to inquire about her health, because he thought she might be sick. This lady ended up converting to Islam. So, that‘s how you respond to people who attack you, with forgiveness and with kindness.
Hooper is not ignorant, of course, and knew what he was doing. After getting caught, he changed the wording slightly to say that it is a tradition "Muslims are taught," but he continues to promote the story without qualifying it as untrue - thus causing others to unwittingly repeat a lie.

Prior to engineering several deadly terror plots, such as the Fort Hood massacre and the attempt to blow up a Detroit-bound airliner, American cleric Anwar al-Awlaki was regularly sought out by NPR, PBS and even government leaders to expound on the peaceful nature of Islam.

In 2013, a scholar at the prestigious al-Azhar university decreed that Muslims may wear the cross in order to deceive Christians into thinking they are friendly. He cited 3:28 which says not to be friends with non-Muslims unless it is a way of "guarding" yourself against them.

"Hiding faith" can mean deceiving others about Islam in order to make it appear more attractive. For example, a prominent Muslim activist in the United States, Linda Sarsour, bills herself as a "progressive" and says that gays, women and religious minorities need not worry about Sharia being imposed. She even says that money is lent free of charge under Islamic law (more about that here).

The Quran says in several places that Allah is the best at deceiving people.

There are a few early Quran verses that seem to encourage truthfulness: 70:32-33, and it bears mentioning that many Muslims are no less honest than anyone else. But, when lying is addressed in the Quran, it is nearly always in reference to the "lies against Allah" - meaning the Jews and Christians who rejected Muhammad's claim to being a prophet.

Still, the circumstances by which Muhammad allowed a believer to lie to a non-spouse are limited to those that either advance the cause of Islam or enable a Muslim to avoid harm to his well-being (and presumably that of other Muslims as well). Although this should be kept very much in mind when dealing with matters of global security, such as Iran's nuclear intentions, it is not grounds for assuming that the Muslim one might personally encounter on the street or in the workplace is any less honest than anyone else.

According to Islamic Law, if a Muslim man marries a Jewish or Christian woman, the woman has the right to continue practicing her faith. But the children of a Muslim man must always be raised as Muslims. No Muslim is permitted to convert to another religion. Any such act is viewed as apostasy and punishable, including by death in some Islamic jurisdictions.

Good News if you married a Muslim than your Marriage is not valid in the eyes of God.

Paul tells us not to be unequally yoked with non-believers.

Scripture clearly warn Israel not to marry others who worship false gods.

pray for all three of them and preach the gospel to all three of them.
the ideal situation would be for your husband to get saved and then teach the children about Jesus together with you.
so i would most definitely tell him (and the children) about who Jesus is, what he did, and why they need him.

and pray, pray, pray!!!!!!
Klara, Have you talked with your parents? or Pastor? Personally, I would tell you to leave him(seperation) before he gets you all into a Muslim Country.

We are praying, but use wisdom. Is it better to take your children to a safe country where you can teach them about Jesus or stay where you are where they are expected to become Muslims?

When I married my husband I never thought for this situation will come. Is a new situation now that I have children and I want to teach them my religion but I find my husband as barrier, in this case . If I teach them anything for Christianity he will start to teach and talk to them for his religion ( which I don’t prefer to mention it as it isn’t important to me).
Teach them about Jesus, Start with

‘Our Father in heaven,
we pray that your name will always be kept holy.
We pray that your kingdom will come—
that what you want will be done here on earth, the same as in heaven.
Give us the food we need for today.
Forgive our sins,
just as we have forgiven those who did wrong to us.
Don’t let us be tempted,
but save us from the Evil One.

John 3:8-21 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
8 The wind blows wherever it wants to. You hear it, but you don’t know where it is coming from or where it is going. It is the same with everyone who is born from the Spirit.”

9 Nicodemus asked, “How is all this possible?”

10 Jesus said, “You are an important teacher of Israel, and you still don’t understand these things? 11 The truth is, we talk about what we know. We tell about what we have seen. But you people don’t accept what we tell you. 12 I have told you about things here on earth, but you do not believe me. So I’m sure you will not believe me if I tell you about heavenly things! 13 The only one who has ever gone up to heaven is the one who came down from heaven—the Son of Man.

14 “Moses lifted up the snake in the desert.[a] It is the same with the Son of Man. He must be lifted up too. 15 Then everyone who believes in him can have eternal life.”

16 Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world. He did not send him to judge the world guilty, but to save the world through him. 18 People who believe in God’s Son are not judged guilty. But people who do not believe are already judged, because they have not believed in God’s only Son. 19 They are judged by this fact: The light[c] has come into the world. But they did not want light. They wanted darkness, because they were doing evil things. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light. They will not come to the light, because the light will show all the bad things they have done. 21 But anyone who follows the true way comes to the light. Then the light will show that whatever they have done was done through God.

Explain that Son in the relationship with the Father is a relationship. Not God having a Mother God that gave birth to the Son.
Son in the Bible also is royal between God's King and himself.

A King and maybe a Messiah was considered to be God's son by adoption.

If you are in a Muslim Country, they are teaching them about Islam in School. So, it is time to play catch up. It is allowed to lie to Christians or Non-Muslims to be more specific to gain an advantage. I already posted three posts on that.

I am “trapped “ as my husband is practicing his pray infront of their eyes on purpuse so they can see him and sometimes they as doing what he is doing as they think that their father is playing with them in that way. This is the most miserable scene that I see sometimes and I can’t even talk to him but I keep ignoring what he isn’t doing while my heart inside is boiling as I don’t what to see my children doing what he is doing . I feel with no power at all .even when I am praying I am feeling less power for this situation.
Then pray out loud to Jesus at those times. He is being dishonest by agreeing not to teach his religion by taking them to his church. He is in fact, taking his Church to Them. So, by the agreement, you should take them to Church. Emphasize who Jesus is. When a comparrions is done in their mind of Jesus and Mohammad. Jesus wins.

This is a very awkward situation. All I can do is advise what I would do. And I fear the children will suffer the most.
I couldnt just stand there and watch him "steal"your kids. I would have to leave the home with or without the kids. A terrible time for your kids. you might have to go to a womans refuge if you dont feel safe.
If you still have US Citizenship, consult with our Embassy there about getting you and your children out of there.
Do not discuss this with anyone outside the Embassy. Go there, like you want to discuss the Trump situation.

this is a classic example of why prevention is better than cure.
Before i sound superior, I admit there are a number of mistakes I made in the past where i paid the price.
one example : my first year of teaching kids I thought being their friend at the start of the year was a good idea. Within a month or two they were walking all over me.
Principals encouraged my wearing my Military Uniforms to class while Student Teaching and Subbing. At the start of each School Year I would wear my uniforms to get a new school year off right. Yes, there were Parents who complained, but I ignored them. Once, they wanted to have a rational conversation with me, I had them and their Children at the same time sign a learning contract. The contract did include grade incentives from the Parents and from myself like Pizza Parties when everyone in a class got at least a B grade --- Pizza and Pop when all in a class got an A grade. Two Semesters in a role of A's included Cake and Pie. If a Parent called me shouting, I would remind them that I record my calls and hang up. Principals encouraged my Stubbornness when it came to learning that when they called them, they would put them on hold. Answer in five minutes, tell them to call Mr. Marsh when you have claimed down and put them on hold again. She had fun, taking them on and off hold until they wanted to have a claim conversation. This became the universal habitat for dealing with certain parents, whose child could do no wrong. When in fact, they were taking after their Parents. TV and Game playing on computer was also included in the contract from both sides. The main problem with US Education is poor discipline of he Parents.

Hi Klara, Stop fretting, put on confidence while you train yourself not to fret, our king is the King of Kings .. Jesus has not given you a spirit of fear but of victory.. Stand and take it back a little every day in a meek and gentile spirit but don't take no crap in your spirit .. Faith from right now on in God's will . You're on an adventure and mission, grow strong, expect miracles every day .. It yours and Jesus plan that will not give up .. Fast , pray and win him for the Lord in spirit , the Lord says ''Be still and know I am God'' .. It could take a while, who knows, but you have enough at stake to be determined to take it all in Jesus name .. If he is reasonable you could educate yourself in the Word and also the nonsense in the Qu'ran and other Muslim works .. Ask questions and try to have answers ready as time goes ,try not to argue or ridicule to much .. God Bless and Welcome .. Remember , even though your mission is for your family , you will benefit too .. Thank Jesus now for what you want and expect in faith and may Jesus grant your hearts desire ..
Read the book of Acts, they had to be refilled with the Holy Spirit on a regular, daily basis. You should seek out Non-Muslim authorities for getting yourself and the children out of that country.

Not marrying unbelievers is a tenet in Islam as well.

It may serve you to find out what Islam says about who has primacy in raising the children in a mixed house.
Quran
verse 5:5
*word by word translation

verse 2:221
*verse word translation

Advising you to pray for your husband and children is splendid. However, you may wish to reflect on how devout you know your husband to be. I'd say not all that strict in that he knowingly married what the Quran calls a polytheist, a Christian. That may help you. However, I would suggest if his family is long lived as you say, rooted in the tradition, that you may wish to learn for yourself what it would mean to his family, him, and you and your children, were he to become Christian and thus turn Apostate. (resource links for your consideration)

God be with you.
1 Corinthians 7:15 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
15 But if the husband or wife who is not a believer decides to leave, let them leave. When this happens, the brother or sister in Christ is free. God chose you to have a life of peace.

He left the second, he started teaching your Children Islam by praying in front of them.

I can’t send them to church , I can’t read them the Bible , I can’t tell them anything for my religion cuz if I do that my husband will do the same with his religion and I don’t want my children to even put the feet on other place rather then church . I did mistake to marry my husband, now I want to find way to save my Children to belive and to have in their heart our savior.
Klara, by praying in front of them he is teaching them about islam thus he broke his agreement with you which he is encouraged to do.

In practice, many Arab countries allowed interfaith marriage to Christian or Jewish women but not to non-Muslim men.[6] In Lebanon for example there is no civil personal status law and marriages are performed according to the religion of the spouses. There, Muslim women cannot marry non-Muslim men, whereas this is possible vice versa,[7] at least if the spouse is a Christian or Jewish woman. Turkey allows marriages to non-Muslim men through secular laws.[8] In Tunisia since 16 September 2017, Muslim women can lawfully marry any man of any faith, or of none. In Malaysia a non-Muslim must convert to Islam in order to marry a Muslim. The offspring of such unions are automatically Muslims and all Malaysian Muslims are legally prohibited from leaving Islam (Riddah). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interfaith_marriage_in_Islam#Modern_practice
