The entire question from the OP is a little creepy.

Oops, I see I am not following our residents
Their brains have been spoiled

Some people have really sick ideas about these exams. I have never heard of anyone who looks forward to pelvic exam. Also general immaturity and insecurity abounds. Weak ego is projected onto the imaginary future wife to lord over and gnaw like a bone.

I personally prefer a female gyn because exam is relatively invasive. That being said at this point of life I don't care that much about gyn gender as I did when I was younger. Husband dislikes the idea of me going to male gyn but it's not like it would be a hill to die on, he doesn't have paranoia about male doctors he is more concerned about my own comfort and having a less unpleasant exam.

I think men have better perception that women are delicate so they guard themselves from being too rough, and that male doctors are usually kinder and gentler (as my all friends say). Meanwhile many women get into "bro" mode and rough things up because we are same gender. We only mentioned this once many years ago, it's a preference not Sharia law, and never did he rack his brain about previous or future exams or what if there's no female doctor available some day, of course that common sense dictates that best health care takes precedence... If he treated me like some participants here see women like some second grade creature that should take shoes off and bow to them 5 times a day, first we wouldn't be married to begin with, second there's no controlling in our house and he is the one who wanted it established watching how most people live, so there's no domestic tragedy in the house. No controlling, manipulating, nagging, forcing and so on, by either side.

As for all those who want to go back to Adam and Eve, a little memo it's always good to remember.
What "helpmate" is not: second fiddle to the boss, second grade citizen.
What "helpmate" is: person on the same team.
All of it was good.

But this...

It is a stupid and creepy thread.
And that's exactly why such stupidity should be questioned on every occassion.
A lot of Christian women with controlling spouses think things like this are normal and somehow pleasing to God.
Complaining about resurrected old threads gets old as well. It solves nothing. How about we propose an autolock forum setting on old threads if thread had no posts for a while.

Why? And then have an excuse for people to raise new threads about the same subject? Sure, it's a creepy idea, but let's not go into overkill. It's not promoting terrorism or anything.

how about men get their own forum so they can creep each other out?

that is, men who are really little boys and giggle if you even say 'naked woman'

really tired of women being objectified by some men on this forum and discussed as though none of us could read

They won't create a forum for the guys like they have for the ladies......they have a thread on this site SOMEWHERE titled "THE GUN THREAD" that is said to be where the guys talk to each other, and somehow (without being told about it) new male members are suppose to know this and find "guy talk" there in a thread that is open to the ladies as well........

EVEN AFTER males have suggested the idea......

I think that's a little extreme, but who knows, you could be right. As another poster indicated, there is no men's only forum on this site, so probably there may be topics some women might feel objectified about. However, even if a man would like to post on such a men's only forum to prevent other people with certain personality types feeling this way, he can't, because it doesn't exist.

Perhaps posters could put warning text in such post titles, such as "Men only question". Would that help you feel more comfortable?

Just curious. What goes around, comes around?

How do wives feel about female doctors giving their husbands prostrate or hernia exams?

This whole thread is ridiculous. Thank God that lady doctor and surgeon found my hernia, and was there to repair it.

Whatever the woman feels comfortable with. My wife is only comfortable with a female gynaecologist. At the end of the day, they are professionals who are there for the study and care of the female anatomy, not as some sexual gripe (at least for the most part)
My wife was comfortable with me being booked in with a female doctor to do my vasectomy. She was present during the vasectomy as well.

I totally agree.

If men had to get exams on their orgasm button every few months and it was a woman carrying it out, wouldn't the man's spouse feel a little intimidated and uncomfortable?
Where is this button?

Why are you responding to a banned member?
If you are so interested I am sure a search on Google will tell you ..this thread has more than runs its course.

not only that

seems to think women are sexually aroused on the exam table

insulting and actually just plain dumb

you see why that poster was banned. his posts were full of innuendo of a sexual nature

it really is time for the boys to have their own forum so they can talk dirty to each other

creepers...then again, maybe that is why they do not have their own forum

totally totally inappropriate

there are women on here who have been sexually exploited..even raped...and you get dullards like this coming along and just keeping it going

So, so, so, agree... let us hope this is the end of it.

Maybe if you and I start fighting horribly they will lock it... :D:D
