they were Justified when Christ rose from the dead

if a person was "Justified when Christ rose from the dead", then all believers who lived prior to Christ having risen from the dead were never justified. However, Scripture tells us Abraham believed God and God imputed righteousness to Abraham ... but, according to you, Abraham could not have been justified or made righteous because Christ had not yet risen from the dead.

if a person is or was "Justified when Christ rose from the dead", then believers born after Christ rose from the dead were never ungodly ... which would render Romans 4:5 invalid.

Your dogma is devoid of Scriptural truth.

It is so much easier to just read Scripture as written, trust God, and believe what He wrote just as written ...

Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

the moment the "ungodly" believeth, he or she is justified ... no longer ungodly.

What is Justification by Faith ?

Justification by faith is what God tells us ...

Romans 4:

20 He [Abraham] staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

21 And being fully persuaded that, what he [God] had promised, he [God] was able also to perform.

22 And therefore it was imputed to him [Abraham] for righteousness.

Rom 8:32

Christ freely justified his people by his precious blood. He paid all the debt his people owed to divine justice by laying down his life in our place. The Son of God came in human flesh and fulfilled his own law, satisfied his own justice, and provided his own righteousness for his people freely

The very fact that Christ died for the elect is their redemption. The word means:

1. a releasing effected by payment of ransom
   1. redemption, deliverance
   2. liberation procured by the payment of a ransom

See that, redemption is effected by the payment of the ransom, which is Christs Blood, and thats Justification according to Rom 3:24

Justification is solely for His People, the Elect, the Church

the Greek word eklektos ... translated into the English word "elect" ... does not appear in Romans 4:5. In fact, the Greek word eklektos only appears twice in Romans ... once in Romans 8 and once in Romans 16.

please note: the verb tenses in Romans 4:5 are present tense ... which means God justifies the person at the time he or she believes.
