Ariel...welcome to the world where you are accused of being full of sin because you don't believe in what someone else does. If you try to relate to them to help them to understand...you are lawless no matter how many times you say the same thing to them. Now you can see the "mindset" you are really dealing with here.

I would just try to limit interaction with people like this to as little as possible as they will "twist" your words on you no matter what you are really saying. Leave them in the hands of the Lord.

I too like Willie see you standing tall and being a peacemaker despite what is coming against you. God bless you!
The almost "laughable" part of all this strife (in a sad way) is that these people seem to think that we all started our journeys toward Christ as followers of grace.

I was probably just as much of a prejudiced hater of the foolish "LOVE" people as anyone here. I made fun of "them" in exactly the same way. Ridiculed their lack of the TRUE obedience I followed as rigidly and religiously as a martial arts practitioner. I thought I was a modern-day Saul, on my way to Damascus.

Yet, they seem to think this crusty 71 year-old man grew up being some sort of Holy Roller. LOL

Yeah, just like you justify your own sin, Here you are justifying abrahams.. and you want to call us licentious, sin lovers? Wow..

wow dude, it keeps getting worse..
Now who's doing the accusation? "Yeah, just like you justify your own sin"

You know nothing about me and can't provide a single example where I've justified my own sin.

She was just trying to bring peace and telling things as they were in order to help us all.....she did no harm to anyone but she was just maligned....now she is viewed as an enemy....this is the kind of stuff that EG stands against and calls people out on.....:)
because she had the nerve to stand up and try to do something about what is going on.. and instead of being humble servants of God, they took offence, and came out to attack. which is what they always do.

i still have no clue what's going on lol!

but for the record, out loud, in public...

i love you, Ariel. and i am going to pray for you right now. ♥

NO, what we did was express a viewpoint different than hers, which you label attack, slander, accusation. You also judged us for being offended. That's just a false accusation because you don't know.

for some reason it is allowed to continue, so someone has to stand and expose what is going on.. I do not know what God will do. But I trust him when he says all things will work together for good.. Maybe one day, Someone will finally see what they are doing and repent.. or maybe (like happened to me awhile ago) someone will see themselves in this actions, and see how evil and proud self righteous they have been, and repent..

I think God someone stood and exposed the truth for me to see, or I may still be like them.

LOL..yes..we all could have been classified as religious nutcases!.. Thank God for His grace to bring us out of that nonsense. It has a form of godliness but denies the power. It's really anti-the gospel belief and it is just such a subtle deceptive beast.

We can't see it when we are in it - it's a spiritual blindness....maybe that's why it is so hard for others to see it in themselves and they rebel against the grace of God so much?

My wife keeps on admonishing me about this all the time when (like all of us here), I walk away from the computer, uttering very unflattering things about someone here........ "Remember, Bill, you were just like them a few years ago, and you were so blind, you actually THOUGHT you were doing God's will. Now you know you STILL aren't doing His will, though you try more now."

lol, You justify it by your gospel..Your sin is ok, You make mistakes every now and then, they are not that bad.

That is called justifying sin.

Me? I don't justify it, I am horrified by it, and ask God to expose it to me every day.

You just stated adultry was not a sin, when the law clearly stated it is a sin.. Either way, He took things into his own hands and did not have faith in God. THATS SIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

James said if we break the LEAST of the law, we are found guilty of it all.

Abraham was as guiltyas any murderer the moment he took things into his own hands and an cheated on his wife,

Thats what scripture says, But you said it was not sin, That is justifying sin.

It shouldn't be too hard. Just, ask.
Willie - I know you will not understand my position. As over the months is obvious, we see the world very differently.
The downside to making statements, is ones detractors will always find reason to get offended, upset. Jesus said simply, they got upset at me, they will get upset at you.

And yes it is difficult to see because often the real reasons for this upsetness is hidden, and hypocritical.
When Jesus called the rulers and law keepers liars and children of their father, it was pretty plain.

It is coming close to this position now. But if that is the reality of where people stand, so that is how things will be.

I remember talking to the nutcase muslims. I thought through discussion of love, they would soften their hearts and become more real. The opposite became true. They got more and more upset and violent, and if I saw them face to face they would have killed me.

I do not think this particular interaction is any different. It seems the attitudes just harden, and condemnation increases even though the content of the conversation is the same. The loyalties and emotional respect is what is often getting upset, but when this is founded on heresy and self indulgence, it is never going to be an different. Sinners hate admitting sin, and pandering to preachers who complement consumerism and self interest and dreams of wealth and prosperity, while asking for donations to receive blessing, it is just a greed fest.

I made the mistake of walking in like a lamb to the slaughter, but then that is what I am called to do, so amen, let it be.

I was quoting what you said about me; I did not say that you justify your sins.

You are welcome to your views about what I believe. You may be ignorant, but I don't accuse you of being an false accuser for being ignorant.

Again, having a concubine or even multiple wives was not adultery. That's just a fact. Adultery is being joined to a woman who is already joined to another man.

yep. Lets excuse sin..

Jesus said if a man looked at a women not your wife, he commited adultry.. And your saying sleeping with her is less sinful?

The pharisees used that excuse to have themselves all sorts of women, They legalised adultry, they could put their wives away on just a technicality and have whoever they wanted, while still obeying the law.

You have the same mindset, That is why legalism is so dangerous, it acts rightious, but deep inside, it is unrighteous.

Keep it up , You make it easy,,

I was probably just as much of a prejudiced hater of the foolish "LOVE" people as anyone here.
What is confusing is these kind of mixing of terms. Foolish "love" you are talking about universal forgiveness for sin.
Love is going to the cross to bring salvation to mankind. And "prejudiced hater" wow. That is powerful empty words showing the anger within.

Love is transformation of the heart from the inside out, that changes who you are.

As soon as I am painted as a hater of "love" I will always go, what?

This has no longer become a discussion of ideas, just slander and accusation, or an attempt at assination.

But once you resort to the random mix you have already admitted defeat.

I have noticed it in words like "never" or "majority". I know I have rattled your cages. Do you think God is going to leave it at that? Do you think this world of peace which has been a blessing in the whole of human history will last?

This is the high mark before the plunge. I doubt many here will survive this plunge, because what you are built on is just sand of the prosperity of your communities.

An addiction, is an addiction, is an addiction! Could be sex, could be porn, could be alcohol, could be drugs, could be making money, can be trying to influence people to their way of thinking, yeah folks, it can even be christian forums!

This is what seems to happen, when we go "onwards and upwards", in our "hammering out our own salvation with fear and trembling". Each ONE of us are different, when we get TO/past this point, in our being harvested, and are not actually cognizant, of just where the hell we are!!

What seems to occur..........(fill in the blank)

I confess I still have battles within myself like this, brother, and I really want deliverance and victory....I think I've been expecting it to come like a sudden bolt of lightening, but perhaps in my case, the Lord is revealing things more gradually with me...here a little, there a little...although some things on rare occassion come more quickly, or maybe it's more like 'oohhh, I GET it...(I think, lol)

But just realizing that there is that battle within is a sort of victory in and of itself, and I'm grateful to many here that the Lord is using to show me these things...hopefully I can grow from the lessons and encouragement.

And I thank, not only those who's passion it is to hold forth the Word of Life, but also when I see the opposition, I'm thankful, because it shows a contrast that I can then define more clearly in my own life and see where I need to allow the Lord to work on me even more, as I know I have a long way to go. :p

One thing I still fall and struggle with is wanting so much grace and love in my own life, but still failing to extend it whole-heartedly to others sometimes.....even sub-consciously.....it's like 'grace for me, law for you' aacckk, !!!

That's not how God would have me, but old thinking is hard for me to break, and I know there's pride rooted in there somewhere.
I thank our Saviour Jesus for His long-suffering, and for brothers and sisters in Christ who continue to stand by the grace of God, and I ask for your prayers.

seeing a different view should enlighten us to test that view out with scripture.. We should never think we have everything right, even if we have been christians for 50 years..

EG plays to an audience. As long as he appears to hit home, with a sense of integrity, the audience clap.

They were never commited to truth, only their teachers and emotional filter. What we have established is who are the sheep and where are the goats. I have come to see, we do not define who is where, they do it themselves, the Lords intent is just to make it plain. For Israel it led to the sacking of Jerusalem.

But unless love provides the opportunity, puts the arguments forward, on the day of judgement innocense can be claimed. The Lord is just, unbelievably so. It is why Jonah got so annoyed about Nineveh.

EG is their great arguer, who is not phased about lying, miss-representing, tearing people up, and coming back for more everyday. To do this you have to have a heart of stone, and a conviction of iron you are right. But good on him, he is doing Gods work, making plain the kingdoms divide. The three representative are EG, Ember and Grace7x77. What a bunch.

In their own eyes blessed and doing Gods work. It is interesting the arrogance and self belief that drives them continually to go down their paths. Little do they understand who is using them and why.

yep, those, me, and anyone else who puts grace first are reprobate in the mind of a earn/maintain my salvation myself person.

when you wake up and realize that you are not a good person, when you compare yourself to the holiness of God, consider all the law, and not compare yourself to other people, you will see you need a savior.

A false accusation - You water down the law to its meaningless or easy to fulfill

The hyper-legalists accuse those who follow righteousness, that they only follow the letter and not the spirit.
The righteous reply we follow love and the Holy Spirit. And on the day of judgement we shall find out.

Now in any court of law you are guilty of a crime when the law you have broken is read out and the incident is actually given with examples.

We now have reduced to general accusations and condemnation. This does not work.
A liar is a liar because of a lie. Calling someone a liar needs an example.
Using a miss-understanding or a different interpretation is not a lie, it is a point of view.

The best EG has come up with is an accusation I miss-represent his beliefs. In the past when I have gone through it in detail, like calvanism, I was correct though not exact. His attempt was to create a smear.
What he was not aware of his friends would always support him, because they are fully commited to their position no matter what.

So it is a sad testimony, that you claim to follow a righteous just King, yet are happy with a lynching.

So are the enemies of Christ, which sent Him to the cross. We are all guilty of this before we became followers of Jesus, but we are not meant to continue our sin afterwards and crucify those who bring His word.
