Only people with Heaven locked in have reason to expect anything there;
everyone else is crossing their fingers for the best while in the back of their
minds dreading the worst. And it's likely many haven't given Heaven much
thought seeing as how in their minds even just getting there is a pipe dream,
especially since the Bible says the majority crossing over to the other side
haven't been making the cut.

Luke 13:22-24 . . And he went through the cities and villages, teaching,
and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then said one unto him, master, are there
few that be saved? And he said unto them: Strive to enter in at the strait
gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

Matt 7:13-14 . . Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and
broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But
small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find
it.

Matt 22:14 . . For many are called, but few are chosen.

Or they have found a way to reconcile what seem to be contradictory verses in a way
you/others do not. There are any number of reasons, really. But I am reminded too, of
certain people who claim this is no place for negativity, while they themselves make
negative comments and remarks, repeatedly, or who complain of those who cannot
accept correction, while they show themselves to be lacking in that very same regard.
And those sinless perfectionists! Oh my, how disturbing are they, going about like
Pharisees claiming they merit God's favor because they obey His commandments,
all the while lying, bearing false witness, and refusing to repent, thereby knowingly
compounding their error. The blindness of people to their own folly yet astounds me.
Preach it girl!

In the story told at Luke 19:16-31, a beggar was transported by angels to a
pleasant afterlife location. I'm a little curious why the Bible doesn't say how
Christians are transported to where they're going when they die. It's
possible that the beggar's transportation is the way it's always been, and to
this day still is.

Well; I have a question about that because when people pass away, they
separate from the material elements of their existence, i.e. the solid parts.
What is there for the angels to take hold of when we're ghosts?

I'm not sure that I won't be frightened out of my wits coming to on the other
side with celestial beings standing around watching me take my last breath.
The first words out of their mouths had better be "Fear not" or I'm liable to
freak out like a bi-polar gorilla.

I wonder sometimes when an unbeliever points out that even believers can't agree on what the Bible is saying how much we are affecting the world? Here at CC we have constant disagreement. We all think the Bible is plain, straight forward, yet some of our beliefs are so far apart. And each one of us would say we follow the Word and are guided by the Holy Spirit and that is why we believe the way we believe.

How do we reach a world when we won't even let each other in to heaven? I've been wondering about that lately, and it's been bothering me. A well known actress that is a Christian said to two comedian friends of hers that God loves them. They said they were astounded, because no one had ever told them God loves them. And that got me to thinking, why didn't they know? I've always been very black and white in what I believe. But I wonder, are we trying to do the Holy Spirits work? A popular singing group has a song called "I Catch Em', He Cleans Em'. We're to be fishers of men. But are we trying to do work that isn't ours to do? An old singer said once, "the older I'm getting, the more people I'm letting into heaven". Does anyone else feel the same way? Or is it just me? Why aren't we more in one accord. And don't tell me "because the way you believe is wrong". Every single person here believes they are right according to the Word. If that is true, we should be able to sing "There's a Sweet, Sweet Spirit in This Place" and there isn't. Why?!

I like to know which Heaven are we speaking about, and please give scripture and verses, because I believe we as christians should use the Bible (word of God) to makes our points. Even then some people will still believe what they want to believe.
Like Paul say in 1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. This way everyone should be on the same page.

John 14:2 . . In My Father's house are many private rooms . . I go to
prepare a place for you.

The nicer hotels usually decorate rooms with flowers and even leave some
candy mints on pillows. Well; a Christian I met some years ago said he
expects his cat to be waiting for him in the room Jesus is setting up.

My two favorite pets were the collie I had as a boy, and the Guinea pig I had
as a grown up. I'd be overjoyed beyond words if they were there waiting for
my arrival. That would be a nice touch.

I heard of a little girl once who said she knew her mommy loved her because
when called in for lunch, there on the plate alongside a sandwich would
always be one of her favorite cookies.

When my son was in elementary school, I got in the habit of making Fridays
special for him by setting up a TV dinner table by the door with either a toy,
a game, or a goody placed there to make him glad to be coming home.
Honestly; I expect no less from Jesus because I am going to need a lot of
encouragement and consolation while getting settled into my new home.
