If we say, God created Thorns on a Rose for its protection, then it takes away from the character of the Rose.
If we say, God created Thorns on a Rose for its character, then it takes away the purpose for protection.
What's still interesting here, with Thorns as possible Protection or Character, insects still devour the Rose unharmed.
I think the key here is what was God's intended use for a Rose?
He wasn't creating a Rose for women on Valentine's Day
So, why did God create the Rose?
Tree's provide shelter, homes, food.
Grass provide food and medicinal purposes.
Flowers feed insects and herbivores.
Is this why God made the Rose?
If so, why add Thorns to make the meal more challenging?
Clearly, the Thorns seem more to function for Protection, compared to Character.
Or, is God showing, how He loves Contrasting Concepts?
