:cool:

Romans 8:
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For Your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

Psalm 44:22
Yet for Your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered

Ephesians 1:
15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in your knowledge of Him.
I think Romans 8 is my 2nd favorite portion of scripture.

Isaiah has grown in favor for me. It is the first one that comes to my mind whenever anyone ask, "Where should I start?"

And though I hesitate to answer with Isaiah as a suggested beginning point being aware that it quickly moves into admonitions, pressing through it eventually reveals the degree of contrast between God's disapproval and His lovingkindness, and all in concern of the same individual, rather than of two different individuals, or general groups, receiving one and not the other.

Touted as the greatest of the prophets, the name Isaiah means, "Salvation of the LORD."

Isaiah is my favorite book of the Bible. Some call it a minibible because it has 66 chapters and the Bible 66 books.
It also breaks into 2 main sections: chapters 1-39 and 40-66. That's 39 and 27 like the 39 OT books and 27 NT books.
Also, the first part largely concerns itself with judgment while the latter salvation much like the 2 testaments.
And many call Isaiah the 5th gospel because of all the references to Christ.

Then I can be confident in suggesting it as a "preface" to lifelong study. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure it is the exact book that I began with and that kept pulling me back to learn more! :)

I'm of the opinion that there is no good or bad place to start...only start. We don't understand much at first anyway.

Amen! And thank you as always for your very kind words .:D. You have probably inspired
more Scripture panels than anyone else here with your in-depth expositions in response
to other people's posts, including my own, and I always appreciate the inspiration.
. :)
amen sister I think it’s definately mutual one of the reasons I like it here is one can read others thoughts and then it seems to lead to better understanding and diverse study mutually I think that’s the benefit of a forum like this at least one of the benefits

1 Corinthians 13

Exercise Gifts With Love

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Love, Walter and Debbie
