I respond quite often to Walter and Debbie's OPs, while many do not, ever... and almost always, I am
posting one of my Scripture panels, or more, depending on how many relate to the topic at hand and
the posts others may contribute. Hopefully Walter and Debbie will not mind us taking a light-hearted
attitude and having some fun the panels I create for sharing with my brothers and sister in Christ
.:)
walter and Debbie always share the word of God and bring up alot of thoughts also often offer alot of cross references and they don’t really usually try to force a their own conclusion rather suggest it or state it and then leave it open for discussion

basically the perfect type of posts for this forum , they are also welcoming and friendly hosts to anyone who participates , never are involved in tbe silliness and arguing like some of us , they present mature and gentle responses even to those who don’t do the same towards them and usually always avoid arguing at all cost even when provoked

These are the type of threads that would lead to a lot of decent discussion about biblical topics within the thread itself because they always start with the word being presented and offer it in a way that promotes discussion without force feeding their interpretation inviting others thoughts ect

What I’m saying is I’m always hoping that more people would actually participate because it would often lead to a good discussion on several fronts for several people if we recognized good discussion leaders like Walter and Debbie just my unwarranted opinion this place could be such a blessing to a lot of folks and many more would come if we did it right instead of dropping napalm and mortar shelling each other lol

p.s. And we appreciate your talent and willingness to share it !!! Always a joy I always end up in a study after reading some of you guys here

Challenge accepted.
so brother two weeks ago a brother at church who I am fond of have known for years pulled me aside after church and tells me all this flowing stuff he sees about me like you know to summarize he tells me what a great example I am for some of the younger folks in church and I show patience and gentleness ect ect

now this is totally out of the ordinary, and so on the drive home ….I feel my head swelling a little bit you know ? Like a helium balloon but of course I’m popped it quickly laughed and forgot about it . Yet I just felt a little better about me you know was like about Wednesday after service “ you know he’s right I am a good example for these folk ect ect “ I was feelin pretty darn good and so

this past Sunday morning I’m running late and I have a couple things we need that morning there’s a traffic jam new construction just started so I take an alternate route , I hit the longest train in America and wait about twenty minutes finally get through the train stop and to en two miles down the road there’s more road construction lol

all the sudden it opens up and I’m free but this $&;@ cuts me off , we’ll I am pretty steamed at this point and I’ve tried. So I let er rip the ole sailors tongue let’s it fly “ you stupid son of a “ gun” learn how to drive arghh! Grunt ! “ I shouted before even looking up and noticing

it was the brother from church who had pulled me aside to build me up telling me I was a great example , driving his 97 year old mother his dear sister and her daughter and her daughter to church and had been also running late for church

I was of course humiliated lol and drove away with astonishment over how the lord had just humbled my mind and heart which began to think something of myself and I arrived first he just after . I was just wondering how this would go of course just mortified really as they got out of the car his mother as they passed by she stopped and rested on her walker and giggled politely holding her hand in front of her mouth she said “ God sure has a way of humbling us sometimes doesn’t he ?

Brian told me on the way that he wanted To introduce me to a real Christian brother who’s been such a great example for him in the lord . , then when you screamed out and drove away he said “ that’s the guy I was telling you about “

She just let out cackling and I couldnt hold back so I joined after we laughed uncontrollably for a moment or three , she says “ it’s nice to meet you my names Margaret , I’ve heard a lot about you “

Was a good lesson but a painful one for a second lol well Embarrassing is a better word I guess but it reminded me not to think about how good I’m doing or bad im doing but rather to keep focused on the author and perfectors work and To press toward the goal

“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”

That's an awesome story. Thanks for sharing.
It was a cool Moment in the end I received nothing but grace from all of them when i needed it , they didn’t judge me in my shortcoming that moment but were gracious as the lord teaches us to be in moments like that was pretty cool even for a seventy year old heart with scar tissue

Monday 3-20-23 2nd. Day Of The Weekly Cycle Adar 27, 5783 90th. Winter Day

1 Corinthians 13

Exercise Gifts With Love

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Love, Walter and Debbie
Love is the greatest asset a person can have, and only counts in a person's life if it is done in works, which is why it is called charity, love in action.

Charity is greater than faith, and faith works by love.

Paul said he is nothing if he does not have charity.

And if any person teaches godliness is gain from such withdraw yourselves having food and clothing be content.

For the love of money is the root of all evil for it neglects the poor and the needy, and love is the fulfilling of the law.

James said if a person does not help people with their needs if they have the means to do it then their faith is dead, for we are justified by works not by faith alone.

John said if a person does not help a person with their needs if they have the means to do it then the love of God does not dwell in them.

Do not love in word neither in tongue, but in deed and truth.

No one ever has to tell me they love me. I can always tell when they are loving God through me.
P.S. I love you also.
I figured you'd already be full of it.:sneaky: But I wrote it anyway just in case Jaybo, or any others, might need reminded of just that much.

You are very kind. But, earnestly I'm never put off by how someone treats me. Galatians 6:8 says we reap what we sow. Many people view this verse as both a warning and a form of chastisement, and of course it is. But I've come to enjoy it as a grace of God too, as it reminds me of my own past actions and helps me to feel and understand the hurt I've caused others. It causes me to try to be more sensitive to the way words and actions can be used to bring life or death to others.

Out of the same mouth we bless God and curse people. It ought not be so.

more Scripture panels than anyone else here with your in-depth expositions in response
to other people's posts, including my own, and I always appreciate the inspiration.

:cool:

Romans 8:
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For Your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

Psalm 44:22
Yet for Your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered

Ephesians 1:
15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in your knowledge of Him.
