On what do you base that claim?
1. The northern kingdom was destroyed by the Assyrians, And has never been returned
2. The lower kingdom was partially removed by Babylon. But eventually completely removed by Rome in 70 AD.
3. They are stil scattered all over the earth
4. They have never been united as one kingdom
5. They have never stopped their sin
6. They have never had one leader.
7 the gentile nations who took them have never been punished
Again, on what do you base that claim ("which remains until this day")? Daniel spoke about something in *his* future (not necessarily *our* future).
Because the city and temple has been desolate since ad 70 Daniel 9 says the city will lie desolate until a determined time.
The city and temple were horrifically destroyed in Daniel's future, and in *our* past.
yep. 70 AD.. but thats not an abomination of desolation. Which occured in the middle of a week
Again, the temple and Holy place existed after Jesus and Daniel's time. And there was a tribulation. Jesus' warnings in Matthew 24 were addressed to those people standing in front of Him, 2000 years ago.
What happened in 70 AD was not even close the the great tribulation, which will be the greatest the earth has ever seen. Jesus said AFTER the abomination of desolation this time would occure. The Abomination of desolation happens in the middle of a 7 year period. Daniel; states this time by this world leader will last for 3.5 year. And both Jesus and daniel; state that it will be the return Christ which puts this tribulation period to an end.
Last I looked, Jesus has not returned yet
