it's the part where you said 'God.., not Jesus...'

if Jesus is God there is no difference. equivalently, He exalts Himself
Jesus emptied Himself of all that made him God. He took on the likeness of humanity. God's intent in creating man was to have a glorious being in His own image. (Psalm 8 and Hebrews 2).

And John 8:54 "Jesus answered, “If I glorify Myself, My glory means nothing. The One who glorifies Me is My Father, of whom you say ‘He is our God.’

Jesus did not stop being God. He did refuse to live as if He was God in His life on earth. Everything He did was as the Last Adam, representing all of humanity as He did so. God does not need to create a new, sinless Adam. Anyone who receives Christ is a new creation, a brand new man.

Man will never be God. So to glorify man, Lord Jesus must be exalted, as man, by God. One day we will be like Jesus. But we will never be Jesus. Being like Him is good enough for me.

'The Father is greater than I'

If I say, the President of the USA is greater than I..

Is he an onotologically superior being? No. He is in a greater POSITION

When Jesus said the Father is greater than I, what happened afterward?

He ascended to be one with the Father, as one.. equal!

He was saying the Father is in a greater position, and there is also the fact that Jesus was in bodily form, limited to the human flesh.

Now.. Jesus is not limited.. and equal with the Father.
during his time on earth Jesus became fully a man this God why he is subjecting himself to God while in the flesh afterwards he returned to his glory the glory of God the father

when he was on earth however it was needed for him to be fully one of us who are by nature completely subject to God

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:5-

Jesus became obedient even though it took him to the cross he was showing us the perfect example of man while he lived on earth showing us mans place as Gods children

while he was in the flesh he had made himself subject to himself to exemplify mans path

he came because all Men fell short and none could intercede and save us

“Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment. And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor:

therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him. For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:15-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

our God came because he saw we were lost without hope of intercession so he became a man a perfect man and intercessor for our sins having no sin himself and claiming victory over death

afterwards he returned to his glory from the beginning

“I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”
‭‭John‬ ‭17:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The one true God became the one intercessor and mediator between God and mankind

“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God became what man needed and the. Returned to his glory after the work was done and he had offered salvation through faith in him

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:5-8

we needed a perfect intercessor a high priest So the lord provided

“For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:10, 14-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:14-16‬ ‭

God became one of us , while in the flesh took the nature of a servant upon himself , made himself subject even when it took him to the cross he fulfilled his Will in the earth and then returned to his heavenly glory

but God was always in heaven even while he was walking upon earth God stepped from heaven into the earth for a time to save us and establish the future of mankind.

or rather it’s like he reaching his right arm into THe earth from heaven and working salvation for us

“Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment. And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him. For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:15-17‬ ‭

“And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭63:5‬ ‭

“Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:1-2, 4-6‬ ‭

“O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: Because his mercy endureth for ever. The right hand of the LORD is exalted: The right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly. I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD. The LORD hath chastened me sore: But he hath not given me over unto death.

Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD: This gate of the LORD, Into which the righteous shall enter. I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, And art become my salvation. The stone which the builders refused Is become the head stone of the corner. This is the LORD's doing; It is marvellous in our eyes.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭118:1, 16-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God is able to exist In Heaven and also
Manifest himself on earth in the flesh like reaching his arm and hand into the earth to save

It's both from different perspectives. Our Savior emptied himself of immediately bringing judgment on mankind, which is what God may do.
Our Lord also never stopped being God, in that God is merciful to people who greatly sin against him.
They both fit perfectly. 😊

If He never stopped being God, He didn't "empty" Himself. He simply humbled Himself and became a servant.

I see no difference in what we're saying. I wonder if "emptied" can mean poured himself out, as in, gave everything he had? Maybe.
