It is never appropriate to apply passages out of context.
Perfectly applied to your post.
Do you not understand that Revelation is coded by the Holy Spirit with strong symbolism along with literal.
Have you never read this written by the Apostle Peter: 2 Peter 3:14-16
"Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;
15and consider
that the longsuffering of our Lord
is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you,
16as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable
people twist to their own destruction, as
they do also the rest of the Scriptures."
Since this is true of the Apostle Paul, how much the more so is the Revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore HE says:
"For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;
19and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and
from the things which are written in this book."
