It concerns me when you say someone could stop believing! Why, because once you have met God, been welcomed into his Kingdom and followed him, how could you walk away?

You could only walk away if you weren't truly saved. If you had never met God, but just jumped in a band wagon, then decided to jump off.

I worked with disciplining new Christians after a Billy Graham crusade in Vancouver BC years ago. I was given 10 people to call and to start a bible study with. Not one was interested in following through with getting to know Jesus and the Bible. I told my team leader I had failed. No one was interested. She told me of the 100 people our team called, not one followed through. Plus literally almost no one in a 2 week crusade followed through..

From that point on, I stopped using a sinner's prayer, and used other ways to bring people to Christ. Basically decisional regeneration is a lie, 99.9% of the time. Those are the people that walk away from God. As I told you before, they were never saved. Read 1 John 2:19.

I have never met a person who stopped believing or turned from God, who was truly saved by God, in the real world! That's because no one has the power to stop believing in God if they truly have met him. He is Almighty, and he controls our paths!
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths!" Prov 3:5-6

Your theology is based on one verse, and seeing saved people walk away. Time for you to look at the many verses thIs support us never losing our salvation. I've already posted them, but you remain stubborn and arrogant, and simply don't use your mind to understand what salvation is truly about!

The disagreement is not about who is saved and who is not, but what salvation is truly about. You don't understand it, period!

Alrighty.

Lets zone in then as you believe that there is no scriptural support for losing salvation.

Look at Hebrews 10v10; 10v14 and 10v29
All three verses talk about these believers being sanctified. How is it that you are ready to accept v10 and v14 truly are believers, but conveniently drop off v29 as NOT believers. What stretch of the imagination could make that leap? What happens between V14 and V29 that could bring you to that conclusion?
And no I don't buy MMD's version that these are sanctified unbelieving husbands. That's dodgy. Very dodgy.

So how about giving just this one a shot. Then we can discuss other aspects. We can have a healthy debate on all your points raised. By keeping it so broad, we have a shotgun approach which will lead nowhere.

So lets do this.

Nobody gets unborn once they are born again (They have been born twice at this point). What happens is that they die a second time upon the fulfilment of Hebrews 6 and Hebrews 10.

Jude
12 These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots; 13 raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.
I'm still groaning in pain as i patiently await my adoption.

Rom 8:22We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.

So sad about the BG thing. That must be the way Jeremiah felt. I'm so glad you didn't give up on evangelism altogether. God bless you, sister.

It’s sad when people focus on the negative. That’s exactly what the OP does.

Who is pointing fingers. I am just stating fact. Judge yourselves.
Your focus is always on the negative. Your focus is always on sin rather than Grace. A tree is known by it’s fruit. You’re here obviously judging people in your heart so just say it. Name names.

Your attempt at goading shows your heart.

All you do is point fingers and yet you’re not man enough to name names.
Your words betray you. You WANT me to point fingers. This is clear from how you approach this. That is clear for all to see.

My directness should be clear for all to see. All you do is focus on sin and “losing” salvation rather than the irrevocable enormity of God’s grace. You are truly one to be pitied.

Hebrews 10v25b has a little treasure which has escaped scrutiny up until now. Since v26 is a verse with much substance, and many bibles make a paragraph split at this point, we can be forgiven for missing quite an important connection with verse 25b.

Lets look at it:
v25b but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
>Exhorting means (Strongs 3870 http://www.godrules.net/library/strongs2b/gre3870.htm)
  1. 1) to call to one's side, call for, summon
    2) to address, speak to, (call to, call upon), which may be done in the way of exhortation, entreaty, comfort, instruction, etc.
    2a) to admonish, exhort
    2b) to beg, entreat, beseech
2b1) to strive to appease by entreaty
2c) to console, to encourage and strengthen by consolation, to comfort
2c1) to receive consolation, be comforted
    2d) to encourage, strengthen
2e) exhorting and comforting and encouraging
    2f) to instruct, teach
>Its believers calling upon other believers to remain steadfast and strong in the face of opposition.
>It implores this all the more as we see the Day approaching. This Day, known as the Day of the Lord, 1 of the most significant and important days in history. It is when God wraps everything up that has happened on this planet. It is the final accounting of everything, where sheep and goats are separated, with eternal consequences for both.
>What is Paul imploring the church to do? The Exhort one another. To check in with one another. To rebuke one another. To encourage one another.
>WHY?
Next verse: For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth...….

>This word "For" is a direct link, and implication, that unfolds from verse 25b.
>And yes --- these are all believers.

Sinning does not separate us from God. It is the lack of a relationship with Him that we care about that separates us from God.
A temper tantrum of a child does not make them no longer their parents child.
A total rejection of the parent and refusal to find support, security, help, reassurance etc by the child certainly does.

The outworking of sin, its justification, its defence destroys the relationship we have.
How can God love us when we are such a mess and find things so hard?

Because He knows with Him we can work things out.
Sinning demonstrates our rebellion and lostness, and if left will kill us.

Eze 14:7-9
'When any Israelite or any alien living in Israel separates himself from me and sets up idols in his heart and puts a wicked stumbling block before his face and then goes to a prophet to inquire of me, I the LORD will answer him myself.
I will set my face against that man and make him an example and a byword. I will cut him off from my people. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
'And if the prophet is enticed to utter a prophecy, I the LORD have enticed that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him and destroy him from among my people Israel.'

God regards us as a whole and where we are going. Direction matters and is everything, how well we do and our issues are our walk.

Matt 13:49-50
This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous
and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Yet whosoever sinneth has not seen HIM or known HIM.

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Then no one has seen Him.....obvious you have missed completely what John is stating here.
