When you say // but it is God who gives a person the ability to receive and to be saved./// what do you mean? this could be affecting how your reading the text maybe .
Thanks for asking. The Bible says: "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. " This means that God takes the initiative and gives a person that he wants saved to hear his gospel. God draws people to Jesus by giving them the spiritual ability to hear unto salvation.

Thankfully, this takes the knowledge of who is saved away from a person or a bunch of people who say that they know or have the ability to decide instead of God. Thank goodness it is God who knows the heart and who is truly Love.

No verse says all the bible is a parable. We should only believe something in the bible if it says so . This isn't the trinity where its something as hard as God could try we wouldn't fully grasp .

10¶And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto THEM in parables?
11¶He answered and said unto THEM , Because it is given unto YOU to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to THEM it is not given.
12For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

Whos the them ? Jesus is not speaking parables from 12 years old to revelation lol . Nor is the bible a complete parable. No he speaks in Parables at a specific time ,for a specific reason to specific people .
Simple. I didn't need to speculate , assume or give you my ' opinion ' . Its what it actually says .
Yes, we disagree on what it actually says don't we.

Is it unreasonable to
Yes, we disagree on what it actually says don't we.
is it unreasonable to have a verse that says ' all of scripture is a parable ' i think not .
We have plenty of verses that says what scripture is . Why believe things that are not said? I don't understand?

You said ///No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. " This means that God takes the initiative and gives a person that he wants saved to hear his gospel. God draws people to Jesus by giving them the spiritual ability to hear unto salvation. /// You got all that from that verse lol ?
interesting hermanutic? I know what Calvinism teaches about that verse ,but when you actually read it ,I'm amazed how its read that way now .
Have you looked at that verse in light of when it is said , who he is saying it to and why ? Especially in light of John 12.32 ?
I've noticed a strange pattern where the greatest event in all the bible doesn't seem to have changed anything in the Bible ( for some ) . Its almost like the Cross ,ressurection and giving of the Holy Spirit didn't really do anything different ? Folks are stuck in John 6 before the cross , which is still before the cross, its still under the law , and folks are going backwards quoting verses as if they supercede what takes place after the cross ??? why ? Why not carry on doing animal sacrifices if nothings changed ?

Righteousness and Justification are spoken of together in Rom 5:18 the
same as they are in Rom 3:21-24. So then, if perchance someone is
fortunate to obtain the righteousness, then they will automatically obtain the
justification that goes along with it.

FYI: Righteousness pertains to innocence, and Justification pertains to
acquittal.

For example: former US President Donald Trump was recently accused of
insurrection. His accusers in the Senate failed to convict him, i.e. the
majority voted for his innocence and consequently he was acquitted.

This is what God has done for some of us; except that He has easily proven
us all guilty rather than innocent. However; via our faith in Jesus' blood as
an adequate propitiation for our sins, God granted us an adjudication of
innocence, and consequently an acquittal. It's all spelled out in black and
white in Rom 3:21-28.

The first prayer I prayed that made some sense contained the words below:

"God, I know I'm a sinner. I would like to take advantage of your son's
death"

My prayer wasn't much to brag about; but it was the smartest sixteen words
I'd ever spoken up to that time.
