@Elihoenai you have just exposed yourself.

I checked out the link, because this has been a theme here on BDF the past little while.... i.e. 'sell all your possessions"

Interesting you link to "gaviriachristian"

So are you the banned member gaviriachristian or one of his disciples?
I know he has a following.... plenty of stupid people in this world

I can tell you no one is buying what you are selling..... it is pure nonsense!!!
How can we buy what he is selling having given it to the poor?

The only possession I have now is this iPad I'm typing on.
Bummer I'm lost for eternity.

Another thought just came. God is for us, not against us. He’s not measuring us if we are doing little or doing much. We aren’t to measure ourselves either. Throw away your measuring stick. He told me that in my first days of new birth. I didn’t understand it then and had many years of trying to be good which always resulted in failure.

The refreshing Spirit of God tells us to rest in the goodness of Yeshua Messiah our salvation. Rest is good. Rest empowers. Rest heals. Striving is never good.

I don’t know if this is true, will check but my understanding is to believe would be surrender. Resulting in faith. To surrender would be to close my mind to doubt or darts of doubt by the enemy, and open to faith; what God says about specific matters. It’s how it pictures in my thoughts.

Ive shared this before but will do again here. This came from Holy Spirit to me...faith is a substance in the spiritual realm. When He sees it, then He moves to answer.

Sometimes there’s a waiting period.....God is moving but we then have a decision to make. Will we fight the battle to the end of our faith? Other times is instant.

Interesting, I know there have been times when I have had no faith and God has moved.

For when I am weak He is strong

Because the corresponding verb to the noun Faith could not be correctly translated into the English, we have no understanding of it, it's been lost.

Faith applied or pisteuo is an act, based upon a Belief, sustained by confidence. Every person living in the physical realm fulfills hundreds of acts of Faith "pisteuo" all day long. We have been created to be faithers. We must choose who and what we faithe into.

And when you check up on pisteuo, remember that it was mistranslated"into" the English. Everything you will see online will mistranslate it back out of the English stamping onto the Greek.

My Strong's says pisteuo " means NOT just to believe".

My Vines, a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender. Producing a full acknowledgement of Gods revelation of truth."

Because the Scriptures written in the English use the words believe, believer, and believing 248 times in the NT, they inadvertently have become the foundation of 99.9% of the Faith today. The problem is, God's word can't be the "object" of Faithing that saves. It has got to be in God Himself, a real living person.

tidbit
noun

tid·bit | \ ˈtid-ˌbit \
variants: or less commonly titbit \ ˈtit-ˌbit \
Definition of tidbit

1: a choice morsel of food
2: a choice or pleasing bit (as of information)

End Quote

Here is a tidbit from that I picked up in Church this morning:

Titus 1:9 (HCSB)
9 holding to the faithful message as taught, so that he will be able
both to encourage with sound teaching and to refute those who contradict it.

WISDOM:
There are NO Contradictions in the BIBLE, when you interpret IT CORRECTLY.
Any TIME you think you have found a CONTRADICTION, you have made a mistake in one, or both verses!

That word contradict can refer to any Contradiction, and is especially pertinent when the contradiction is in these VERSES:

Titus 3:5-7 (HCSB)
5 He saved usnot by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
6 He poured out this ⌊Spirit⌋ on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 so that having been justified by His grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

ANYONE who teaches that our works are part of SALVATION, is teaching a major contradiction and we must regard that TEACHING
IS NOT BIBLICALLY SOUND.

I read your post here and I see agreement with what I wrote. I just said it simpler. 😇

And that's your choice!

I personally don't rely on any epistle as I'm more committed to the epistle Christ an I are writing through a real relationship with Him, not His words and promises.

But when I do look for the reflection of God in other people's Epistles, I always filter it through the original manuscripts which are in Greek.

The words believe, believer, and believing, are mistranslations. Those words are not in the Greek language.
Let's get down to the real nitty gritty...if one stops faithing do they loose their salvation?

So you have studied and know Koine Greek?

No longer need the epistles?

Me: This is what pistis means Pisteuo. And holding to the result is what decontroversal, and eleventh hour is saying. This is the “great faith” that Jesus commended.

My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus Christ and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
but wholly lean on Jesus name.

On Christ the solid rock I stand
all other ground is sinking sand
all other ground is sinking sand.

the wide path is for those who reject Him.

They can’t let go of their own part of earning what they recieve, it’s human nature.

Why must it be they or them or us and we? Is Christ divided? Does any other blood cover our sins ?
This thread is a stain on what God is.......love!

Warning: This is a fly by remark. Will get no response!

You need to worry about things that are your business, and let God worry about the things that are His business!
