You just said people commit acts of faith all day. These acts of faith have nothing to do with God.
Ok, let me explain.
When you went to bed last night, did you make sure there was enough oxygen in the room to sustain you until morning?
Of course you didn't! You fulfilled a specific act of pisteuo!
The specific object of Faith is the oxygen and it's unseen.
You fulfilled the act by going to bed, based on the belief that there was enough oxygen, and you sustained the act based upon the belief by falling asleep.
As with most true acts of Faith and faithing, your life depends on it being successful. No half measure, no salvation in your back pocket.
Now, I can use this same scenario in a hundred other acts of Faith and faithing we fulfill every day.
Did you check gravity today ? Making sure you didn't float away?
Did you check your gas tank to make sure it wasn't leaking?
Did you make sure your tires did have anything in them to cause a blowout?
Did you make sure that when you had the green light and drove through the intersection, that the guy who had the red light would stop?
I could go on and on! God created us to be faithers! That is basically all we do each and every day. But the one act of Faith and faithing towards God, that may relate to recieving the Spirit of Christ, is a Continually surrendered life to Him, supporting such surrendered life with every decision we make.
