Reality check: I said you don’t have to talk to your neighbor, not don’t talk to your neighbor. Big difference. Step down from your self righteous soap box. And for the record, I work in ministry. Do you work in ministry? I almost hope not with your projecting attitude.
AMEN.....Macaroni was put on ignore a while back....his drivel and ability to twist what is said goes well beyond most that do it.....

Just read what eternally grateful said THAT YOU LIKED😲same thing I say😜
SO what.....just because I liked something he said does mean I embraced everything he said....and for sure the following verse overrides any and all working for salvation drivel....

But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness

So says the guy who says a person can live 50 years as a Christian and never do anything. Completely denying 1 John 2: 4-7.

Yep, Jesus never did anything, and we’re supposed to walk as He walked😕

You agreed with him that “it is impossible for a Christian not to work “ out of one side of your mouth, and then said it is possible for a Christian not to work out of the other. You are the epitome of contradiction

Like my sig? you liked it several months ago. So you agree with the very thing that you call drivel. Classic
Gb9 and UG liked it too, but now it’s all of a sudden anathema to say that

And your an idiot that embellishes what people say and then adds your own flavor....same thing Satan did in the garden...so..who leads you exactly....not God....

But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness

No wonder I quit responding to your idiocy....thanks for reminding me why!

Ad hominem sighting🤪. Well anyways, methinks that EG believes in justification by faith apart from works just as I do, which shows conclusively that your response is a strawman, ie, you are saying the quoted post from EG denies sola fidei, which it does not. Therefore you are guilty of a strawman fallacy. So there you go.

You ignore me because I hold you accountable to what you say.

So how many people agree with my sig. it seems several used to, and then waffled on it. Oh well...

And you started name calling when I was not getting personal at all. Is this how you conduct your ministry? Total lack of self control on your part
You came across pious when it wasn’t called for and I responded accordingly. Not very lovingly, but accordingly nonetheless. But don’t forget, I also said peace be with you and I meant that from the heart in a good way, not bad.

So stating scriptural truth is piety in a bad sense? And it is fitting to call someone self righteous for stating truth from scripture?

False accusations are not becoming for ministers of Christ. And the fact remains that I stated a COMMAND from Christ, and you said “ one doesn’t need to keep it”. You slipped, and now you are trying to deflect with ad hominem.

And I’m sorry that I agree with 1 John 2: 3-6. Do you accept my apology for agreeing with that text, since according to you, that makes me self righteous?😲
You like to twist things. I never did nor will I ever as long as I have breath in my lungs state that we do not have to follow a command of Jesus Christ.

You deem Matthew 28 as us literally speaking to others where I have stated the power of prayer is real. You can pray for individuals, asking God to make himself known to them. I do it all the time; I do it for complete strangers; I do it for people I don’t even know exist, asking God to reveal himself to 10 people somewhere on planet earth that he otherwise may not have done so.

That is taking an active role in Matthew 28 without literally speaking to people. Again I did not say you don’t half to follow Jesus’s command, I said you don’t have to necessarily speak to people in order to follow through with the great commission.

But in the context of what has been taught here, that justification apart from works (which I believe) means that if I say , with John the apostle, that if we know Christ, we will obey Him equals works salvation, and when I point out the error of that premise, by quoting 1 John 2:3-4, and then you take one of my examples and say “ you don’t have to do that”, it seems that you are arguing for the premise I am arguing against, which is a bad, sub biblical premise

I believe Romans 4:4-5. I also believe 1 John 2:4 and Ephesians 2:10. Do you? Yes or no? And is Matthew 25 relevant to Christians at all? How do you reconcile your hypothetical saved 50 years with no fruit and no good works with Matthew 25? With 1 John 2:4? With Ephesians 2:10? With Titusv2:14?

The fact that you hypothesized such a thing reveals a clear imbalance in your theology

We are not saved by works, but works are God’s intention and purpose for us. Not to be saved, but to reflect His Glory. Not to be saved, BUT BECAUSE we are saved!

We ar not saved unto disobedience

All I know is you agreed with EG that it is impossible for a Christian not to work, and then turned around and said “ a person can be saved 50 years and have no good works.

Then you defend it by quoting Romans 4:4. Red herring. Because this is not a question regarding justification, it regards REGENERATION

Your model seems to include justification while excluding regeneration.

Justification is a legal decree. Regeneration is an inward work. Your argument for justification does not negate the equally important Divine work of regeneration, no matter how many names you call or ad hominem or red herrings you use, it changes nothing

I don’t just read words, I read them in the context that they are spoken. If you were just clicking, and did not read who and what I was responding to, then I misunderstood you, but an honest mistake, because you spoke in a bubble, and out of context of the discussion

So I apologize for misunderstanding you.
