Read this slowly and focus on the exact words please...

In that chapter of Proverbs, the subject is wisdom.

If you seek to be wise in all that you do, you will excel. That's what that line is saying. If you love wisdom, then wisdom will reward you or love you back.

God loves all His creation. And we love Him for He first loved us. That goes with His choosing us. We didn't choose Him. God is so awesomely good to us, we can't help but love Him.
You will not get wisdom and understanding without obedience. Not going to happen.

Psalm 119:100 I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts.

Just so people know. This is a characteristic, A man named PETERJENS used to do this very type of thing, when he was here before. This is one of the reasons we KNOW this man is that same MAN. (He had a third nic he used also. If I looked, I can find the same wiht that also.

Notice how they both have the name in bold at the top. Then underneath it a large explnation of what he thinks it means.. I am sure if I searched hard enough I could find the one on hatred from both.

Don’t be fooled people. He is not fooling anyone.
We pegged ole Petey a while back....the new deceiver just have it away also....he made a comment about the site going back to being boring....one who is new cannot say that...he has been here before as evidenced by that comment

One must be careful when dispensing the truth in the gospel, for we may find ourselves avoiding truths and subject matter the newcomer or new believers find repulsive or poignant. We need to work hard to avoid this.
Making statements that thwart man's conception pertaining to the truth should strongly be avoided.
Making statements that thwart man's conception pertaining to the true character of God should not be tolerated.
You covey some things I agree with in its entirety, but there are things mangled with the truth that I find no merit or fact that promotes the truth in the gospel.
Paul warned the Galatians to be aware of false doctrine. For a little leaven will destroy the whole lump.
I pray that you are sincere about your claim of knowledge in the word of God, and that you're not sitting there with a smirk and stereotypical view of some soft spoken well mannered Christian you're going to aggravate from the pits of hell.
I'm not saying you are doing this, but let judgement fall correctly when I say that I love God with all my heart, and no offense unless it's deserved, but some of the stuff you post about my glorious God makes me wanna best your a##!
I have to apologise if you feel some stuff I post upsets you.
If you can tell me what it is, it is probably a typo, or a miss-understanding.
Some illustrations I use could be taken in a way I do not intend.

And I am aware I can emphasise one aspect which could mean something else is jeapodised.
Security in Christ is one issue. It is hard because there are subtle differences and it depends on
ones own heart condition how it looks.

Paul put it to be a fragrance of death to some and life to others.
I remember some feeling condemned about talking about obeying Jesus in loving people,
but then I know some carry the burden of terrible abuse and suffering, so such an idea is
very painful. Sadly we are called to go through this pain to life.
The biggest step for me, was when I actually loved a girl, to just express this, even though
it would be rejected, which I knew 100% would be the case. I needed to learn love expressed
is worth everything compared to love hidden and denied. At that time it was like being crucified
inside, but it was important to be true to love at any cost.

So sharing here in the way I do is carrying a cross, bearing my heart, learning the hatred and
animosity expressed, and it does not matter, because the love is true and my Lord glorious.

Stephen stood infront of the Sanhedrin and told them about Jesus. He knew they would probably
kill Him, but it did not matter at all. He was just one disciple, one man who God had shown Himself
to, and He was happy to be a light in the darkness, to brightly shine and take the boldness and reality
that Christ is, and just share. What a witness, what a change, what boldness, what a sacrifice of praise,
what a King we follow and what a work He does in our hearts to bring us to this place where life or
death holds no boundary, Amen, Halleluyah.

Saul believed in circumcision of the flesh. The new creation Paul believed in the circumcision of the heart. I'm so sad you do not see the truth.
The works of the law that no longer save are the purification works in which circumcision of the flesh is the sign.

Can you imagine Paul saying he had confident in his flesh and used to obey God in all ways but learned not to do it anymore?!

You would think a serious discussion is happening about some terrible people and not brothers and
sisters in Christ rejoicing in His work in their lives. I think Satan was tacked on along the way.
This is what happens when sins deceitfullness is ignored and peoples hearts are unresolved.
They must need enemies so badly to make sense of their guilt.
God bless you brother, Jesus knows the sacrifice and the cost, because His way is worth it
all.
Amen. Love to you in the Lord. What you wrote here is perfect and so glad to know you.

As I always saym Our sins will eventually find us out..

Maybe he will just humble himself and ask for his account to be deleted and finish out his ban with some integrity.. Then when he returns, (as peterjens) at least he can return with some integrity.
Highly unlikely....even Satan, at some point, knows he has but little time left and will go out swinging and taking as many as he can with him.......

Deception

I used to wonder why certain people did not declare their theological positions.
But now I know because they cannot defend them or even truly know what they are.

It is much easier to rubbish people is general and hope to pick up points along the way.
What is illuminating is this approach declares ones lack of faith and belief in Jesus.

But then if theology is somewhat beyond you, no bible school training and not able to
cope with the differences it is just how you think things are flying, and hope the others spot
the bad eggs. There have been quite a few pastors gone through here who have been decimated.
They are used to God fearing folk who respect His word and are open to being guided in the
right direction. A samuari sword chopping up is not what is expected, lol, but then if you realise
this is not driven by the Holy Spirit, no surprise then.

So for me the key principle is spiritual authority and who one is submitting to.
We should answer only the Lord and His word, and walk in faith. And with the greatest sincerity
I have been so blessed doing this here and in other forums and media, sharing Jesus's love and
gospel. He rewards ones spirit so much, which others have testified to, we are His word springing
forth to unbelievers, whether they accept it or not, His word never returns void.

And it really does not matter, what unbelievers do, we are the light and they are in darkness,
without the light deep is that darkness and terrible its consequences. So brothers and sisters,
just rejoice and shine, shine in love and life for Him amen.

Failure of empathy

Once one knows the venus fly trap has a trigger, get too close and you get eaten,
you know to stay away. So the discussion is are we to be like Jesus.

Interestingly according to a poll most believe this is our goal.
The next block in that chain is working, effort, learning, striving, sacrifice,
dedication, perseverance, hungering, changing.

The opposite of this is rest or slough, doing nothing and being happy.
Tonight as a house group we looked a colossians 2.

So much current church heresy is seen in this chapter, yet it is drunk by
people who do not read their bibles or know Jesus. There is a belief these
folk are believers, but their acceptance of blasphemy, heresy and apostacy speaks
otherwise.

And forums also declare the appeal of no life testimony or change and no paying the
price of the walk of discipleship. And best of all, for which I give glory to Jesus, nothing
can stop the Kingdom of God or the Lords purposes, because everything is in His hands.

So if condemnation and attack is your style, welcome to the people of God to whom
this means nothing. God bless you, and thanks for your enthusiasm, it is refreshing to
have people fired up for whatever intention, a great training aid.

Amen and a new sword in the fray....welcome.....the picts are rank and file deep.....armor up and sharpen the sword...... ;)
...“But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy loads and put them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. “Everything they do is done for men to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; they love to be greeted in the marketplaces and to have men call them ‘Rabbi.’ “But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one Master and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called ‘teacher,’ for you have one Teacher, the Christ. The greatest among you will be your servant. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are. Matthew 23:2-13,15

Take a leafe out of your own book, you know where this ends up.

It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting,
for death is the destiny of every man; the living should take this to heart.

Saul had the Holy Spirit taken from him, and David asked God not to take the Holy Spirit from him.
There is a difference between the Spirit’s roles in the Old and New Testaments in regards to indwelling people. The New Testament teaches the permanent indwelling of the Holy Spirit in believers (Ephesians 4:30). When we place our faith (belief, trust, reliance) in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, the Holy Spirit comes to seal us and live within us. The Apostle Paul refers to this permanent indwelling as the "guarantee of our inheritance" (Ephesians 1:13-14; 2 Corinthians 1:21-22; 5:5). (y)

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament was selective and temporary. The Spirit “came upon” such Old Testament people as Joshua (Numbers 27:18), David (1 Samuel 16:12-13) and Saul (1 Samuel 10:10). In the book of Judges, we see the Holy Spirit "coming upon" the various judges whom God raised up in order to deliver Israel from their oppressors. The Holy Spirit came upon these individuals for specific tasks, but the indwelling was not permanent. The indwelling was a sign of God’s favor upon that individual (in the case of David), and if God’s favor left an individual, the Spirit would depart.

So, while in the New Testament, the Holy Spirit only indwells believers and that indwelling is permanent, the Holy Spirit came upon certain Old Testament individuals for a specific task. Once the task was completed, the Holy Spirit departed from that person.

Seals can be broken. A seal is a statement of intent, no more.
No one can break the seal of God.

<1,,728,arrabon>
originally, "earnest-money" deposited by the purchaser and forfeited if the purchase was not completed, was probably a Phoenician word, introduced into Greece. In general usage it came to denote "a pledge" or "earnest" of any sort; in the NT it is used only of that which is assured by God to believers; it is said of the Holy Spirit as the Divine "pledge" of all their future blessedness, 2 Corinthians 1:22; 5:5; in Ephesians 1:14; 4:30 particularly of their eternal inheritance.

2 Corinthians 1:21 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 22 set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

2 Corinthians 5:5 - Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

Ephesians 1:13 - In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

Ephesians 4:30 - And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed unto/for the day of redemption. (y)
