Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

There is no contradiction in the above two verses......FAITH is what is required....God said he would DRIVE OUT THE INHABITANTS of the land BEFORE THEM....all they had to do was go in and occupy....they did not have FAITH in God's ability to do the WORK FOR THEM......the implication is clear....

Paul covers this extensively....WORKS OR FAITH.....one or the other....NOT BOTH AND WORKS FOR does not cut it!

It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that BELIEVE!!!! <--The simplicity found in Christ....

Rejected by the workers for, Cainologists, Pharisees and salvation losers...

I had a stroke about noon on the New Years Day, but this one was not as severe as the last one. It was still Scary, my right are went numb and I was very dizzy. But but it all bounced back about 3:00 PM on the 1-2-19. Thankfully the Lord was Merciful.

The word labour is not translated very well.....and in reality does not even make the point that was being made....note the Greek word translated labour and how the word itself does not equal works or labour in the sense one views the word from an English standpoint...

Will do, they have a monitor on my Chest for two weeks to see what may be causing it. The said it is a blood clot in my heart, but they are not sure what is causing them, so the monitor is to help them to determine what is causing it.

Hi Hevosmies, this is a biblical paradox is it not; for entering into God's rest meaning to "Not Work", yet the bible say's the way to enter God's rest is through "Labuor.", or better yet, "due diligence."

When you say, "well that shuts this thread down", are you being sarcastic or are you saying that our eternal salvation comes by works via our "labuor."

It seems like your unbelief is exactly what the bible say's will keep people from entering "God's Rest", but then maybe I'm not interpreting you point of view correctly. And it seems like you are a little to quick to want to shut down this Not By Works thread, more paradox.

I would cut any and all veggies that have high amounts of vitamin K
..like spinach for one....dark green veggies are loaded with K that clots blood....

Hi Hevosmiles, okay and thanks for your reply I was not sure where your belief on salvation stands but now you have made everything clear that you believe we are "saved by grace not by works", Eph2:8,9, my apologies and please excuse my misunderstanding your words.

I now understand you meant, shut the thread down as in "there is no more argument." I get it thanks.

We know we have the 10 commandments given to Moses.
They were given by God direct to Moses.
Then we have the Mitzvot (613 laws)

Were the 613 given as part of the covenant of Moses and if so to whom.

Then we have the Abrahamic covenant.
But yet I do not see a load of laws added.

Then we have Noahic covenant with 7 commandments.
But I don't see a load of laws added (although I'm sure I read somewhere that Jewish scholars reckon they were broken down into 211 laws, I could be wrong though)

So we have 3 covenants before the new covenant.

So to whom do the above 3 covenants apply to?
Were any extra laws added to the Abrahamic/Nohadic covenant in the Bible?

What's the difference between the new covenant and the above 3?
Which ones were given to who and why?

That THE after the SO, was supposed to be THEY, but I am sure you all figured it out. They gave me some medicine about 3 hour or in of a little less, that is supposed dissolve blood clots as long as it is administered with in 5 hours. So I am glad it was less than 3 hours in.
That is why I bounced back before more damage was done. So DO NOT PROCRASTINATE when you think you have a Stroke.

Some things I know for sure. Both Abraham and Noahs covenants are pictures of Jesus. Not going into that here, but the difference between the old and the new is the old is an agreement between God and men. The new is a will of inheritance.

God breaks this all down into laws, statutes and judgments.......I have compared it to human law in this sense.....

Under American law murder is against the law and yet qualified to it's severity....

Class A thru D felony

Premeditated is a class A while maybe accidental manslaughter is a class D

And then different judgments are applied....Like Class A murder = the death penality or maybe life in prison while a class D manslaughter maybe equates to 10 years in prison.

Obviously the law under Moses supplanted the laws Noah was given and can be broken down in the following manner

The law --> subdivided into Statutes-->with levels of punishments afforded to the severity of the crime (judgments)

I had three more scares today, and I had the Emergency Check it out. I had three more episodes of my right arm going numb today. 30 Min., 10 Min., and 45 Minutes. He said it was residual effect from the on I had on 1-1-19. NEVER HEARD OF THAT BEFORE. So he sent me home. Keep praying for me.
