You didn't answer the question Billy. When did the Flesh and Blood man, Jesus, become the root? Was He the "Root" when He was born? Or at the age of 5?
sure he did. John 1:1-5 fully answers you.

your question is like asking when did water become wet?

John 7:
16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

Well that explains a lot about your preaching.

Hey bro,

what is salvation? It is Gods love poured out on us, we love because god loved us, where is the greatest love God shared? The cross. Love was shown on the cross, (no greater love has anyone than he die for the one he loves). And that love is poured out the moment we are saved,

In this manner, salvation (the pouring out of Gods love) produces obedience.

GOD's LOVE was PLACED IN OUR HEARTS THE MOMENT WE WERE BORN AGAIN.

Salvation is a FREE GIFT from the moment CHRIST DIED on the Cross.

Obedience is PART OF THE LOVE, that GOD poured into our Hearts [human spirit].

There are a few of mine you have not answered either.
I'll just quote Bible verses like you do.
No worries Bill......his JESUS is even worse than the one he mouths.......His JESUS RISKED it ALL and had to be GRAFTED into the root because HIS JESUS, unlike the bible's JESUS, is NOT THE ROOT...........

what are you even talking about?

He will not speak on His own but will tell you what He has heard
(John 16:13)
Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.

You could have stopped with the above and been correct............the rest of your quote --->it means the destruction of the Word of God.

has no bearing on what he said......but of course we know you like to misdirect......

you can have the Long haired men's hair shampoo model.
While He was in Bethany, reclining at the table in the home of Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on His head.
(Mark 4:3)
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brothers to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Coming down upon the beard,
Even Aaron’s beard,
Coming down upon the edge of his robes.
It is like the dew of Hermon
Coming down upon the mountains of Zion;
For there the LORD commanded the blessing—life forever.
(Psalm 133)
But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
(Matthew 6:17-18)
Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You
With the oil of joy above Your fellows.
(Psalm 45:6-7)

Rom. 11:16 For if the firstfruit (First Human given immortality) be holy, the lump (His Flesh, ) is also holy: and if the root (The foundation and Doctrine He taught and lived by) be holy, so are the branches. (Those who are grafted into the Holy Root, as was the Man Jesus.)

This was the understanding I shared that you, Billy, and others poo pooed.

So Billy said that the Man, Jesus, was the Root, and suggested He wasn't nourished by the root.

I asked, When did He become this Root? At birth, at age 5? Or was the Man Jesus partaking in the "Root" or Doctrine that He received of His Father.

Of course both you and him are caught here in your religion. If you say the Man Jesus was His own Root, then you would have to throw out His Words I posed about His not Following His own Doctrine.

If you say He was grafted into a Root that already existed before He became Flesh, you would be agreeing with me, and God forbid you should publically admit to that.

So understanding this I posted:

John 7:
16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

The reason you believe Jesus created His own doctrine, "Root" is because you have not done the Will of God.

At least this is what His word suggests.

i asked you a very simple yes/no question:

how about this question :

is Christ good?
is He ever not good?

:)
you answered with an implied slur & causeless curse against me:

He says what He says. If you don't understand Him, that isn't my fault.

13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
i forgive your sins against me even though you don't repent.
it is no big thing to me for you to judge and curse me.
but i don't see that you addressed this very simple question:

is Jesus Christ "good" ?
is He ever not good?

i'm not trying to trap you in anything or insult you.
i'm trying to lead you to praise Him in truth and spirit --

the answer to this question leads to great edification for all of us.
your insults are not important. talking about Christ is what is important,
because knowing Him is life.

so would you mind answering it?

is Christ "
good" ?
is He ever not good?

well you are quite wrong about the Lord God of all Creation being grafted into anything. all the saints here agree that you have a very wrong private interpretation of Romans 11:16 here.

you oft boast that you take "
every word" into account?
take Christ's own declaration then:

I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.
(Revelation 22:16)

if you start with untruth, what you develop from it is also untrue.
it looks to me that, others have corrected your misstatement, and you have hated it, and in your vanity you're trying to twist other scripture into agreeing with what was wrong in the first place.

look,
Paul, speaking to Gentiles who have believed, says they are as wild olive branches grafted into the natural olive tree. the natural tree is the children of Israel after the flesh. God was born in the flesh, a Jew. which makes the man Jesus a '
natural branch' in the language of the scriptural metaphor. was Christ broken off so that He might be grafted in again?

see, you're out at sea here

What Questions? Not sure how this relates to the questions I kindly asked you?
Sorry Studyman, you are peddling false doctrines on an international Christian forum, foremost you are saying that Jesus is not "Fully human and Fully God" and that is "as false as false can be." I cannot stop you from denying the "Deity of Jesus Christ", but maybe the powers to be on this forum can.

"What Questions?" no questions, no answers, I would like to know when you finally believe the true gospel. And I pray that any who read this post be forewarned that your counterfeit gospel could not save a flea.

Romans16:16-18
16)
Greet one another with a holy kiss.
All the churches of Christ send greetings.
17) I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. 18) For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.

Beware of Deceivers: 2John1:8-11
8) Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. 9) Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10) If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. 11) Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work.

1Peter2:1
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction
upon themselves.

Thank you and amen posthuman,

Romans11:15-18
15)
For if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? 16) If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.17) If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18) do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.

I did not get to Church today, because I left for Church, and the police had EVERY STREET blocked on Normal Street for a massive MARATHON. I MEAN RUNNERS AS FAR as an eye can see. I live on the south side of Normal, and my church is on the north side of Normal. I do not like to be late, so I came and watched a recent video of a Sunday evening Service, I had not seen before.

That Video is Dr. Gil Rugh, confronting a New Heresy, of ADDING TO THE GOSPEL. These are Evangelical Theologians, who have Added to the Gospel, inserting also Social Responsibility, making it a FALSE GOSPEL. They say the GOSPEL of Jesus Christ is a two legged Gospel, one is the Traditional Gospel, and the Second Leg is our Social Responsibility.

ANY TIME YOU ADD ANY THING TO THE GOSPEL, you have effectively Created a False Gospel.

Here is that video, if you want to see it:

"I am the Root" and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star. (Revelation 22:16)
"
if you start with 'untruth', what you develop from it is also 'untrue."
"see, you're out at sea here"
I will say amen again posthuman and add may I please that; "if you start with an 'untruth', what you develop from it is also 'untrue" - or - "if you button up your theology "wrong" at the bottom, it will be "wrong" all the way to the top."
Studyman is quite "wrong" about many things concerning God's plan of salvation for human beings
