"Unchurching"? What is that exactly? Seeing as "church" is "ekklesia" in the Greek which literally means "the called out" ... Is that when Christ un-calls you out? How does that happen?
Pretty sure he's using the Oxford definition of church in this instance.

So we have a bunch of people preaching:

Don't attend church
Homosexuality is wonderful
Transgender is perfectly normal
Sex workers are just as legitimate as any other profession
Tithing/giving is for suckers
And every holiday is worshipping Satan.
Marriage is so you can be abused by somebody.

Sitting around and thinking Holy thoughts is how to obtain salvation.

Yeah....y'all are following a very different gospel message.

Is it me or is someone trying to get out of going to church & excuse themselves?
Hopefully, it's me. :)

Building strawmen are always fun, just not always helpful.
Do you think he would say that true believers should believe what is written in the Bible?

Hold on Cletus. Let me amend that list...

1. You are the called out, the light of the world. Stop saying "I'm going to go to" something you ARE. Be the light not just on Sundays and Wednesdays.
2. Homosexuality is sin.
3. Transgenderism is sin.
4. Sex workers are legitimate people but their occupation is sinful and perverse.
5. The tithe, offered before the law of Moses, should go to the Elders who watch over the souls of the people.
6. No one should worship Satan. I don't understand this one...
7. Marriage is so a man and woman may put on display the grace between Christ and the church.

I used to go to a church in the area for several years and as the Lord convinced me that OSAS was dangerous deception and led me to quit going there cause that's what they taught and they had 2 women "pastors" which is not biblical.
Hello Jimmy. Good to meet you, I hope you're well. Just a Q about your comment on 'OSAS'. If you believe you can lose your salvation, how do you know you haven't lost your salvation for quitting church?

These people left our churches, but they never really belonged with us; otherwise they would have stayed with us. When they left, it proved that they did not belong with us. (1 John 2:19).

God Bless You :)

Yep....
Exactly as I said earlier. You are not worshipping the God who is but instead one of your own creation.

Just because a group of people hold regular meeting together, and calls itself a church, doesn't necessarily mean they're true brothers and sisters. Maybe the people in that group are the ones who went out from the true faith and formed a false church.

well, yeah.... what's your point? Not all churches are truly Bible believing/following? We already knew that. What does NOT follow naturally is that ALL churches are bad...... which seems to be what you imply every time you mention "churches"....

The majority of posts that i see where someome is espousing some kind of assinine twisting, perversion or flat out denial of foundational doctrine is posted by someone who in their profile information is , "not attending chruch". What dp these severed body propose to offer the united body? Is a disembodied hand of any use?
For me you should have posted scripture or just you talking yet it is written. Some look at the "Church" well I like to quote Einstin that said in a collage class he was teaching "I got 9 out of 10 right and no one congratulated me on getting 9 right. I got one wrong and everyone remembered only that".

Some do this with the Church. They know of a Church or a group under one name that is false fake and then tread "all" Churches as fake false. I understand this I truly do. But for me over the years I learn "ok I know what I want but I shall put that aside and only what He wants". See He may want be to go to a place that I don't want in order to help them or they have something that will help me. I have not arrived but always need others to help me see or I might get stuck in something and get deceived. Who that believes in trusts in Jesus would never want to gather together with our brothers and sisters? Fact they are more family then flesh and blood. Love you Jesus...do we? His will or ours? I read a few ME ME ME I I I's

every Christian should attend services with other Christian’s that was the idea . They would just meet at peoples house , break bread together and pray and fellowship .

at here is a lot of truth to the fact that church services today are nothing like what’s proscribed in scripture . For instance

“How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭14:26-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The church is meant to operate as a group all interacting with thier spiritual gifts a group that cares about one another like family

“Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. ( the body of Christ the church has grown this day by three thousand souls )

And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together, and had all things common; and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:41-47‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Today the chrich is much more worldly and doesnt even resemble that biblical template there are great churches still where people treat you like family and we should definetely find one we need it truly but attending a church building that’s operating on the worlds system isn’t going to do anyone any good either

i think a lot of folks have an issue with some denominational doctrines and don’t want to attend “ the wrong church “ and be taught wrong things which has some merit but regular fellowship , people who will Pray with and for you and actually care who we share faith in Christ with is incredibly valuable like not fighting a war alone safety in numbers kind of benefit for sure everyone should attend church it can be hard to find one that feeds you properly though

The new age movement is the beginning of the end.
Yep,and gnosticism is a big part of that which is people claiming to have "special" revelation which of course is in opposition to God's Word which is how we know it's from 'ol slewfoot

Actually their teachings mostly come from Melancthon
Philip Melanchthon, and Martin Luther were collaborators with John Calvin a known heretic so they were in agreement with calvin's heresy as the reformers failed to return to the whole counsel of God as the original church adhered to in the Book of Acts as the true Holy Spirit led.

Martin Luther was a known drunk and a known anti-semite which is where Adolf Hitler learned hatred for the Jews (Hitler was greatly influenced by Luther's writings as a young man).

Those that get their spiritual direction from men like Luther and calvin (an unrepentant murderer by his own admission) fail to put their idols away... and instead get their leading from God's Word.

It must be highly discouraging to be the only person in the city/town/province that knows and believes the whole truth.... your burden is heavy.
Jesus said His yoke was easy and His burden was light.... I'm not the only person in my area that seeks the whole counsel of God, so no fake tears need be shed for me.

Lol.
No they were not.
Luther nailed the 95 thiesis on the door of the church at Wittenburge Germany in 1517. John Calvin was an 8 year old French child who began his thing in 1536 in Geneava France.

Also not true.
Luther statements are often taken way out of context. But similar to Paul who said they should castrate themselves, Luther got frustrated with them and the trouble they caused with the very same issue Paul dealt with.

You clearly don't understand the meaning of the word.
It's quite simple... John Calvin, Mart Luther teach things God's Word does not teach such as OSAS, or "perserverance of the saints", or some folks are "elect" and will be saved even if they live in sin, and other such un-biblical doctrines.

John Calvin was an 8 year old French child who began his thing in 1536 in Geneava France.
Uh huh and Calvin was a big part of carrying on the false doctrines Luther espoused and was a big contributor to the so called reformation which was a failure due to not going back to acting on God's Word as the original church did in the Book of Acts.

Not to mention Luther did not accept portion of God's canon like the Book of James for instance. He wanted it removed because he's a cherry picker who does not accept the whole counsel of God.

He was a catholic.... and catholics have no problem with drinking.

Some of his writings speak highly of getting drunk.

Of course those that have made an idol out of the man thinks he can do not wrong and probably thinks he never sinned either!
