Romans 3:22.. Read it. ''.. Unto all and upon all who believe.. ''
This Scripture being said... Am just trying to understand how the' elect ' and this verse fit each other. Is it like.. God is saying that if we believe we will be saved but at the same time He is saying...''you cannot believe... U can believe only if i allow you to''
Let’s look at the word ‘world’ my friend. On your side of the debate, world means all mankind, and that’s all it can mean.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.(John 1)
He was in the world...everybody whoever lived? No. He was on planet earth, terra firma, which is what world means here.
And the world was made through Him..here is one place we can see world meaning everybody whoever lived, but also all we see and do not see, the universe.
And the world did not know Him...everybody whoever lived did not know Him? No. Here world that did not know Him is the lost my friend.
Another place where world is used...
3 We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, 4 since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love which you have for all the saints; 5 because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel 6 which has come to you,
just as in all the world also it is constantly bearing fruit and increasing, even as
it has been doing in you also since the day you heard
of it and understood the grace of God in truth;(Colossians 1)
Again, not everybody whoever lived is this bearing fruit in. Not even everybody whoever lived at the time Paul wrote this, heard the gospel, not even today has everybody whoever lived heard it before dying. I read an article where ~ 3.2 billion people have not heard the glorious gospel of Jesus.
