I understand what you're saying. But for the sake of disagreement here, do you think you are perfect?
I think you are unable to understand that I speak unto you what is spiritual because you keep brining it back to my flesh.

From 1 John we read "that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin." We cannot sin in him because there's no sin in him and this is why "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God."

But you act like you are in Him 100% of the time and that is literally impossible. We sleep and our mind wanders. We get caught off guard and we react. You are being completely unrealistic about the claims you're making.

Then we should tare those scriptures from the bible that say we have no sin in him. It's the "in him" that must be outside of your understanding because you keep bringing it back to my flesh. It's not about in me. It's in him.

From 1 John we read "that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin." We cannot sin in him because there's no sin in him and this is why "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God."
U ya our like your brother totally rejecting scripture and trying to insert your own understanding

In 1 John 2 we have the saying that whoever practices righteousness is rightiois. And in 1 John 3 we have the same Greek word used however the translators used the word commits instead Of practices sin

A child of god dies not practice sin he practices righteousness

But he is not sin free and if he claims he is he is decieved and their is no truth in him

As long as you continue to excuse your sin and claim you are without sin. I can not listen to you because there is no truth in you

Honestly I worry for you, if you really and truly believe you have no sin and do not sin then when you are before the throne and shown otherwise I fear for what you will see. Now if you said you have no sin because you are covered by the blood of Jesus and repent of your sins daily that would be a different story because with a repentant heart coming before the throne we are indeed without sin in his eyes. But if you say you do not sin then that si when the problem begins to get deep, without understanding our need for repentance and our falling short we do not have a repentant heart because in our eyes we have no need to repent.

Interesting how Paul refers to himself in his letter to Timothy:

1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am [present, indicative] chief.

not was ... or formerly

The present tense represents a simple statement of fact or reality viewed as occurring in actual time.

And @Peterlag, you need to understand ... for the most part I (and I believe everyone who has replied to you) endeavor to walk worthy in light of who I am in the Lord Jesus Christ. And I am so thankful that we are able to enjoy all spiritual blessings in Christ. God did not have to do that for us at this time. But He did and we are blessed because we are allowed to enjoy all He has given to us in Christ, even though the future holds much, much more and we are unable at this present time to fully comprehend all that we will be.

We just also recognize that we live in this present evil world in our earthly tabernacle. And we realize our weaknesses ... that in this lifetime we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven (2 Cor 5:2). And while we sometimes stumble, falter (which is something we do not want to do), we have a merciful Father Who knows our frame and remembers that we are dust.

And just because we recognize our frailties, that does not mean we are "carnal" or that we are unable to "understand that which is spiritual" or that we "continue to walk in our old man". It just means we know who we were in Adam ... and who we are in Christ.

Have you ever thought about the fact that God wants us to realize our weakness so that we are driven to the Lord Jesus Christ?

Dogs seem to be in the flesh only without the spirit of God. They or any other great loving human has nothing to do with the topic of this conversation which is how to walk in Christ.
I couldn’t care less with the topic of this conversation is supposed to be. I read your nauseatingly painful OP and was moved to write what I did. And I’ll write a lot more if I choose to do so. Do you have any other snarky comments you’d like to direct my way? You have my undivided attention.

Most dogs are more loving, forgiving, gracious, dedicated, obedient and loyal than any human being I’ve ever met. IOWs most dogs are more Christ-like than any human being I’ve ever met.
They must be good dogs.

If the dogs are in the flesh does that mean that they commit sins? These may be the bad dogs. They growl at people. Some dogs are good dogs and they wag their tail when they see daddy coming. At least that has been my experience and observation.

I guess its supposed to mean there are no animals in Heaven even though God loves humans and animals alike according to Scripture.

And you just might be 100 percent correct. Either way I don't see sin in the Christian who is in Christ. I'm not talking about Christ in you. I'm talking about us in him.

Same difference. He defines the us in us and the us that went out not of us. Using parables to accomplish his work of teaching us how to walk by faith

We have the same Spirit of faith Christ working us. The same that works in you and I.

2 Corinthians 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

Oh now I found the problem why we cannot understand each other. You think in Christ is the same as Christ in you.

Just one more. Dogs do not have spirit.

We do not agree.

I believe the spirit of Christ is my new nature and therefore I have been able to function in it. To live in it, walk by it, and be in it. When I finally figured this out is when the lights turned on. Most of my life I believed I was in a battle between what I thought was my old man fighting against what I thought was my new man. Now I'm not fighting. I moved right in the darn thing. It seems to me one cannot walk in or by the spirit if our old nature (which is dead) thinks it's fighting against our new nature.

Last night is when I took the red pill that released me from the Matrix. Being in Christ is not what I was taught, meaning that you are in fellowship, which means you are walking upright with your flesh. I now understand being in Christ is being in the spirit and neither of them (in Christ or in the spirit) has anything to do with the darn flesh.

It now seems perfectly clear to walk in or by the spirit is the same as putting on the Lord Jesus Christ. It's the same as having fellowship with Jesus Christ, which is also part of having the mind of Christ. Living in Christ is the same as being strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. There's a verse where Jesus says without me you can do nothing. Well, I'm never without him.

It's "in him" that I seem unable to get you to understand. You keep bringing it back to me.

That works for me since there's no way you can understand what I write about concerning "in him" because you keep bringing it back to me. It's not about me. It's about him.

This is true. I do fall short when I'm not walking in the spirit. But Jesus still saved me from sin when he destroyed it on the cross.

Ooo ooo I think I know this one. All the other animals remain in the perfection God created them in. They act just the way God intends. They can't sin.
