Is Obedience Necessary for Salvation?

If the blood of Jesus has established the born again to be as righteous as God, then how can confessing sin to try to maintain that agree with the blood of Jesus?
When did you decide that the blood of Jesus needed your help doing its eternal justifying and sanctifying?
You read 1 John 1:9 that is talking to unbelievers, and never quite made it to 1 John 3:9 that says the born again do not sin because of the seed that is in them.
Look at this verse. "the GIFT of Righteousness".
Do you think you confess sin to keep a "gift"?
Look at this phrase......>"made Righteous".
Do you think that confessing sin is why that remains the Sonship Status of every born again person?
You are confessing sin, to try to not lose your salvation, and that means that you are not trusting in Christ to keep you saved.
Its not both.
Salvation is not....... The Cross + Your self effort. Salvation is not..... The Cross + confessing sin.
Look at this verse carefully.
"God who began salvation in the born again, will Himself be faithful to COMPLETE IT">
Notice what is being Completed........for whom.......and by whom.

Notice your verse.. It says......."will not inherit the the Kingdom of God.".
See that?
That can't be talking to a born again new Creation in Christ who already exist IN the Kingdom of God.
The KOG already exists IN the born again, and the born again, already exist IN the Kingdom of God.
This Kingdom, is SPIRITUAL.........Its where God exists, in "LIGHT".

Paul said.....>"if i do anything worthy of death, then i do not refuse to die". ACTS 25.
This is showing that its possible for the greatest Christian who ever lived, who wrote most of the NT and all the doctrine for the Church, to accept the death penalty for being a murderer or something similar.

You are surprised to find out that the blood of Jesus can deal with murder and lust and rape and hate and bigotry and fear and lying and all other sin?
Listen, the blood of Jesus, paid for the sin of the WORLD........ John 3:16,17
That is an overpayment........that is easily capable of continuing to redeem, no matter how we behave.
Romans 4:8 says that God does not charge sin to the born again person, in eternity.
That is because the blood of Jesus, 2000 yrs ago, has accomplished its redemption.

I think you are quite mixed up, and not dividing the word properly. 1 John 1: 8 says: If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.
It is unseemly to speak of trying to earn salvation without Jesus. That has no place at all in any way on a site devoted to Christ: Christianity. Demons try to convince Christians to skip obedience as not Christian but only trying for their own salvation without Christ. It is a thought from demons, not from Christ.

If you HAVE sin, then your sin isn't forgiven...
So, when you read a verse that says you HAVE IT, then that means that Christ does not have it.
This means you are not yet forgiven.
Let me show you something about "Rightly dividing".
Realize that the Apostles are all preachers, and sometimes they are not talking to YOU in the verse, if you are born again.
Sometimes they are talking to people who still HAVE their SIN, and in that case, they are hearing the Gospel.
Let me show you how to see this...
Lets say all the members here come to watch me Preach.
And a couple of you bring 2 disciples of Mary Baker Eddy, or similar Gnostics.
I am told that "there are a few unbelievers in the group"..
So, i teach the believers, and then i preach the Cross.
Suddenly the 2 unbelievers, who are gnostic, stand up and come to the front and say....>"we dont believe in Sin"... "there is no such thing"..
So, i say to them......"listen if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us".
See that?
I just said....>"WE".....but i dont mean ME........I mean THEM...........yet i said. "if WE say".
See that?
That is how a PREACHER addresses a room of sinners.

Think now.......Would an Apostle of Jesus, have sin?
He says......"if we say we have no sin"......So, does John have sin?

But the listeners do.

We are saved by God's grace through faith, and our salvation is made evident to the world by the fruit that is produced in us by the indwelling Holy Spirit. If one says he is saved yet produces no fruit, Jesus said he is like a withered branch that is cut off and tossed into the fire.

Jesus said he came to call sinners to "Repent and believe." Believe Jesus.
If you repent and believe you will not murder.
Jesus said "love God with all your heart, soul, and strength, and love others as I have loved you." Believe Jesus.
If you love you will not murder.
Jesus said "I am the vine and you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing." Believe Jesus.
If you abide in Jesus you will not murder.
If you repent and believe you will not murder.

I agree that it is important to know history and who scripture is speaking to to understand scripture, but I do not agree that some scripture is simply does not apply to "you" because it is not talking to "you". Scripture tells us every word the Lord speaks is truth, and that truth is for us.
If you repent of murder so your will is not to murder any more, you can be saved spiritually and live in mansions in heaven, but you must face civil courts in regard to the murder. If you live in repentance then you live as a person who does not murder.
