Well I did learn a lesson...that I should read a thread through before just popping in and posting...lol

I believe it is good to fellowship and it is good to go to church. But just going to church will get us nowhere really we need to live it everyday not just for a couple of hours on Sunday or whenever we are at church. The building means nothing... church is where ever the children of God are and are gathered together in his name.

Now, as for fellowship at a local congregation? There will be several congregation in a city due to proximity, language, way of teaching, etc. We all work together to share the love of Christ inside AND outside the local fellowship. There are ministries we can get involved: ushers, greeters, musicians, prayer partners, cleaning crew, nursery, children’s ministry, youth, etc etc etc. We all work together for the glory of God, but each person is responsible for his/her relationship with the Lord - to read the Word, study it, and personal prayer life.

The Bible says bad company corrupts good character, right? So if we spend time with those who love God, what will happen to our character?

Well I haven't run into anyone else around me who believe the same things. I do know people who do. I believe that when we enter Gods rest, which is the Sabbath, then we cease from all our works. Which is anything that is our own. Going to church was my own way to worship God. So I had to loose it. To die mean to give up all your ways, and that is my opinion. Everyone have to do what they believe. It's not easy believing what I do, but I'm not going to give in just because everybody disagree. They said that they crucified Jesus because he claim to be God. But I believe they killed him because he spoke of another kingdom and was against the ways of this world. They didn't want him messing up things. That's why king Herod wanted to kill Jesus when he was born, because he represented something other than the ways of this world.

If I see something that I feel is absolutely foolishness, I don't even give it a second look. I move on. But you all seem to think that it is your place to beat me down. Why don't you ask God if I am of Satan? It wouldn't hurt anything I believe he will give you an answer.

Hebrews 13:17 Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.

How are you to submit to your leaders' authority if you have no leaders, because you eschew the local church?

Certainly, there are local "fellowships" that teach error. There are also local fellowships that teach truth... the whole truth. You cannot judge, because you don't know every local church. All you are doing is claiming things about "all churches" (when you cannot know such things) and going off on your own, essentially committing exactly the same error that led to the divided churches in the first place. You may not be following Apollos or Cephas or Paul, but you are following yourself and creating a faction of one.

You don't need to trust anyone here. However, rejecting out of hand what people here say, without considering it in light of Scripture, is silly. I would ask again, what is your purpose if not to convince others? I continue to believe it is to justify your own choice.

I want to ask you a question. Why is there adultery in the church, sooner are later there will be someone that rubs you the wrong way? In the church we learn that you just repent because we are under Grace. That God is a loving God he will forgive you. If people really fear God, they would be too scared to sin, because he cannot immerse with sin, so you lose. You have seen what we have been talking about, so I'm not going into it again.

I only need to compare what you claim against Scripture. Where it doesn't line up, I reject it as untrue. I don't see anyone 'beating you down'. However, I do see people challenging your views and calling them error if they see them as such. That isn't personal, despite how it may feel.

By the way, critical generalizing about others is a good way to make yourself unpopular quickly. If you have an issue with another contributor, deal with them specifically.

ah, here we go- the real reason why you do not like local church- you want a sinless perfectionism theology.

I showed you Scripture in post 489. Your accusation is groundless.

My comment on repentance is not drawn from one or even a few verses. It is drawn from the whole counsel of Scripture. The principle is this: "Go and sin no more" (John 8:11). In other words, Stop doing the sinful thing, acknowledge that you have done it and that it is wrong, and ask God to cleanse you from it.
