The Psalms 95, is known as a “Sabbath” Psalm, for it deals with the Creator God:

John Calvin on Psalms 95:1 -

“... 1.Come, let us rejoice before Jehovah. This psalm is suited for the Sabbath, when we know that the religious assemblies were more particularly convened for the worship of God. It is not individuals among the godly whom he exhorts to celebrate the divine praises in private; he enjoins these to be offered up in the public meeting. ...” - https://www.studylight.org/commentary/psalms/95-1.html

John Trapp Complete Commentary on Psalms 95:1 -

“... Ver. 1. O come, let us sing unto the Lord] It is thought by this beginning that this psalm was not penned by David for private use, but for public assemblies, to be sung by the congregation on the sabbath and such like times ...” - https://www.studylight.org/commentary/psalms/95-1.html

Coffman's Commentaries on the Bible, Psalms 95:1 -

“... Scholars usually group the six psalms from Psalms 95 through Psalms 100 as liturgical psalms, designed for use by the Israelites as they gathered for Sabbath day worship. "This group of psalms seems to have been composed for use in the services of the second temple."[1] ...” - https://www.studylight.org/commentary/psalms/95-1.html

Forerunner Commentary on Psalms 95:1 -

"... This is a Psalm that the commentators call a "Sabbath Psalm." It is indicating an activity that is taking place on the Sabbath. That is when people gather before God, shout joyfully, and come before His presence with thanksgiving. Of course, anybody can do that in prayer as well, but this is a Sabbath Psalm. That is its broad application. ...” - https://www.bibletools.org/index.cfm/fuseaction/bible.show/sVerseID/15456/eVerseID/15457

Which “good shepherd” gave “His life for the sheep”? To whom does the “little flock” belong then, and whose “voice” “shall” “they” “hear”? It is the very voice of Jesus, calling them, “...follow me.”

Psalms 95:6 KJB - O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.
Psalms 95:7 KJB - For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,

Who saw us like “... sheep without a shepherd ...” [1 Kings 22:17; 2 Chronicles 18:16; Mark 6:34 KJB] and came to “... to seek and to save that which was lost ...” [Luke 19:10 KJB]?

Scripture hath said,

Jeremiah 31:3 KJB - The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

Who is it that even had “... appeared of old ...”, and has loved us “... with an everlasting love ...”? Who is it that with “... lovingkindness ...” has “... drawn thee ...”? It is Jesus Christ:

Isaiah 45:22 KJB - Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
John 12:32 KJB - And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Think about what is going to the “... uttermost parts of the earth ...” and “... all the ends of the earth ...” even now:

Matthew 26:31 KJB - Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
Mark 14:27 KJB - And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.
Hebrews 13:20 KJB - Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
1 Peter 2:25 KJB - For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
1 Peter 5:4 KJB - And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
John 10:15 KJB - As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
Who is it that is coming to gather all of His Sheep from the four corners of the earth, from the four winds of heaven and shall separate the sheep from the goats?

Matthew 24:31 KJB - And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Matthew 25:32 KJB - And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
Matthew 25:33 KJB - And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Mark 13:27 KJB - And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

We are the sheep of His pasture... and we know His voice... for the Shepherd calls us. He calls those of His sheep to “... come out of her, my people ...”. Do we belong to Him or to another?

Acts 17:27 KJB - That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

Compare:
Matthew 28:20 KJB - Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Isaiah 42:5 KJB - Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

Compare:
John 20:22 KJB - And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
John 10:27 KJB - My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Compare:

See again Psalms 95 KJB, for whose voice to follow:
“... Follow me ...”: Matthew 9:9, 16:24, 19:21; Mark 2:14 KJB,
“... his disciples follow him ...”: Mark 6:1, 8:34, 10:21, Luke 5:27, 9:23,59, 18:22; John 1:43, 10:27, 12:26, 13:36, 21:19 KJB,
“... follow thou me ...”: John 21:22 KJB,
“... follow the Lamb ...”: Revelation 14:4 KJB
John 10:3 KJB - To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
John 10:4 KJB - And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

Compare:
Deuteronomy 1:30 KJB - The LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;
Deuteronomy 1:33 Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.
Matthew 28:7 KJB - And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
Mark 16:7 KJB - But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.
John 18:37 KJB - Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Jesus is no hireling, but He is the Good and Great Shepherd of the Sheep:

Do we not desire to know the Truth [whom is Jesus], and to heed the voice [Psalms 95:7; Hebrews 3:7,15, 4:7, etc KJB] and call of the LORD [JEHOVAH] God? We ought to know from these texts then, that it is Jesus Christ that calleth us. Do we hear Him, do we follow Him? For He is the Way, The Truth and the Life, that Good Shepherd:

Psalms 23:1 KJB - A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psalms 23:2 KJB - He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
John 10:3 KJB - To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
Jesus is the Separator of the Sheep and the Goats:

Ezekiel 34:15 KJB - I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.
Ezekiel 34:16 KJB - I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
Ezekiel 34:17 KJB - And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats.
Matthew 25:31 KJB - When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
Matthew 25:32 KJB - And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
Matthew 25:33 KJB - And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Luke 19:10 KJB - For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

The Holy Ghost is instructing the people of God to listen to the pleas of God, that strive with their hearts, to hear, as throughout time:

Genesis 6:3 KJB - And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
Psalms 103:8 KJB - The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
Psalms 103:9 KJB - He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
Isaiah 57:16 KJB - For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.
Ephesians 4:30 KJB - And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

They [past] had a 'day' of grace back then to repent and believe and obey God. They refused, did not believe and did not keep God's commandment. Thus, they [past] did not enter in. A[nother] 'day' of grace is open for us [now, present]. Do not refuse to believe as they, do not refuse to repent as they, and do not refuse to keep God's commandment as they, and rest the 7th Day as God did, otherwise like they, those also shall not enter in.

It is “to day”, and that “to day” is the day of grace. Soon that “to day” of grace will close. All those still found not in repentant obedience to God, will perish. Make the decision then “to day”, and “harden not your heart”, and obey God in His commandment [Exodus 20:8-11 KJB], which is the demonstration of faith and love, that Jesus has delivered from sin [1 John 3:4 KJB].

Hebrews 3:8 KJB - Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

Citing:

Psalms 95:8 KJB - Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

The Holy Ghost warns us to not harden our hearts, and to not resist His entreaties to repentance, as Pharaoh did, and as those Israelites of the past and as others so did, for the end thereof is death:

Exodus 7:13 KJB - And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
Exodus 7:14 KJB - And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refuseth to let the people go.

Hebrews 3-4:

Hebrews 3:10 KJB - Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

Citing:

Psalms 95:10 KJB - Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:

Why was God “grieved” with that “generation”? As the text says, “It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:”

[1] err in their heart
[2] have not known [experience] my ways

Romans 9:31 KJB - But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
Romans 9:32 KJB - Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
Hebrews 4:2 KJB - For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
Romans 14:23 KJB - “... for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.”
1 John 3:4 KJB - Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Because the peoples Israel did not believe the promises of God, they did not obey God in His words, and because they did not trust, they could have no lasting rest, and could not actually keep Sabbath with God. There are specific examples of this unbelief, and it manifests in sabbath-breaking, and through sabbath-breaking, how could they enter into the land of promise?, since they did not by faith believe in God's promise to grant them the victory, and thus did not trust in His providence to rest, and Sabbath with God:

Numbers 14:11 KJB - And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?
Numbers 15:32 KJB - And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.
Numbers 15:33 KJB - And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.

Numbers 15:35 KJB - And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
Numbers 15:36 KJB - And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Nehemiah 9:16 KJB - But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to thy commandments,
Nehemiah 9:17 KJB - And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.
Nehemiah 10:31 KJB - And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.
Ezekiel 20:10 KJB - Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.
Ezekiel 20:11 KJB - And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.

Ezekiel 20:13 KJB - But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.
Ezekiel 20:14 KJB - But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.
Ezekiel 20:15 KJB - Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;

Ezekiel 20:21 KJB - Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.
Ezekiel 20:22 KJB - Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.

Notice the connection of actual and true Sabbath-keeping with faith. It is necessary to have faith, to believe that the “works” were “finished” from the foundation of the world, for all who do not believe, attempt to maintain their own evil works, through unbelief, inspite of God's good works.

The peoples Israel of old are given as a warning to us, spiritual Israel of to day, in matters of faith and doubt [unbelief], for through doubt comes sin [Romans 14:23 KJB], and all sin, is transgression against God and His Law [1 John 3:4 KJB]:

1 Corinthians 10:2 KJB - And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
1 Corinthians 10:3 KJB - And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
1 Corinthians 10:4 KJB - And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
1 Corinthians 10:5 KJB - But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
1 Corinthians 10:6 KJB - Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
1 Corinthians 10:7 KJB - Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
1 Corinthians 10:8 KJB - Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
1 Corinthians 10:9 KJB - Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
1 Corinthians 10:10 KJB - Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
1 Corinthians 10:11 KJB - Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
1 Corinthians 10:12 KJB - Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
1 Corinthians 10:13 KJB - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
As they were tested upon God's Law, so too we also:

Exo_16:4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

Hebrews 3-4:

Hebrews 3:13 KJB - But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

The “to day” is not a single moment in time, but a length of time of God's grace. In other words, the “to day” is the “day” of Grace which is extended for a period of time, known unto God. Probation for mankind, “to day”, is only open so long as Christ Jesus is ministering in the Heavenly sanctuary [Daniel 12:1; Luke 13:25; Revelation 8:1; Revelation 8:5, 10:7, 15:8, 22:11 KJB], the “true Tabernacle” which God pitched and not man. However, once Jesus is “finished” with this the Day of Atonement, there is no more opportunity to enter in. The door will be shut forever [Genesis 7:16, 19:10; Matthew 24:36-39; Luke 17:26-30], and then falls unmingled wrath, the 7 last plagues.
Romans 14:23 KJB - “... for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.”
1 John 3:4 KJB - Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Hebrews 3-4:

Hebrews 3:14 KJB - For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

See also:

Hebrews 3:6 KJB - But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
Hebrews 3:6-13 KJB, is repeated in like structure in Hebrews 3:14-19, 4:1 KJB.

Hebrews 3-4:

Hebrews 3:15 KJB - While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

See Hebrews 3:8-9 KJB notations.

Back in the days of David, the Psalms 95 writer, under inspiration of the Holy Ghost, stated that opportunity to enter into God's “rest” was still available for those who would believe, and have living abiding faith.
