i get it, you want your sins more than GOD.
Who doesn’t?
God became more real to me when I confessed to Him that I loved sin more than Him.
You know it was like He responded, “Oh good, someone who is telling me the truth and not hiding behind the fig leaves trying to convince Me that they want Me more than anything”.
In my earlier years, I would try to run after God and kept hitting a brick wall. Then I observed those who ran from God and sinned like the dickens and God was really sending the grace after them to draw them in. Here I was “trying” to be a good little God loving believer. At some point, I gave up and became and started to confess to God that I loved my flesh. Oh, sure, He knew full well I didn’t. I was just messed up and I needed a lot of help.
I found out that by continuing in sin, grace much more abounded. Oh yes, Paul asked the question, ”shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid, how shall we who are dead to sin, live any longer therein.?” Well, there was the answer, I wan’t dead to sin.
It says, “Reckon yourselves to be dead unto sin”. That line right there requires illumination. We can try to reckon until we are blue in the face, but sin will always be at the door knocking saying, “I am your cute little secret sin here, remember me, I’ve been knocking for a long time now, why are you keeping me waiting?”.
The more I meet people that say they have reckoned themselves to be dead unto sin and alive unto God, the more I see that they have more sin that they can handle. It’s because they are trying to live out the New Testament as if it’s the law, and by the law, no man shall be justified.
Right now, I am looking into the perfect law of liberty and seeing a whole new set of circumstances.
Fortunately, the only people that I am writing to, are the ones that know exactly what I am talking about.
