What good is it to read at all if god hasn't told you what to read? If that event doesn't happean then it a work and worthless. If one ask god what to do one would be surprize at what he tells one to read and study. when has to put the book down because of all the understanding coming from it rather then trying to find understanding from it less talk.

Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Psalms 119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
John6:63 -: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.
Jesus is the word.
Read it all study it all.

This was strange (by the way I didnt bump this thread up) I knew before I replied it would appear that way is why I took clips of the front page.

My curiosity is killing me, how on earth does this happen?

This thread from 2007 is bumped up by Simiel (a poster that hasnt even posted since May 1st 2015 ) and within the same minute he appears to have posted in BDF (bumping this particular thread up from that far back) he is showing up as banned. But the post above mine is registering as his new post (posted 2 minutes ago from the front of BDF) but when you look at the date of his post it is registering as being posted back
in March 6, 2014 (not March 23 2016) which is the actual posting date of mine (which follows his) the same evening.

When I click reply (to this thread) it will appear that I have bumped this thread up from way back but I didnt.

See what I mean?

Simiel posted 2 minutes ago (bumping it up)

How it reads from the front

But Tintin's response is showing on the front page of the board not Simiel (and for a ban that might not be weird)

But see the date of the last post above mine?

Its in 2014 but registering as 2 minutes ago (even though he is banned)

How can that even happen? I have been sitting here trying to figure this one out and I cant make sense of it. I had to ask.

As much as I need to be calm and loving to,others by receiving God's love, promises and encouragement found in the Bible....so sometimes for hours daily, sometimes a few minutes is enough.

If you vote in poll, thread gets bumped without new posts.

i've heard bumping ancient threads being described as "necroposting"

but Pilgrim's quandary from back in march brings whole new meaning to that phrase!

btw this is a really weird perspective.

hasn't God kind of told us to read the whole Bible? so.. waiting for Him to tell you to read a specific chapter or something, before you will pick it up, is 'worthless works-based religion' ??

bizzare.
heh.

probably there is a reason for that user's account being listed as "guest" now, that i can only speculate about.

I like to read the entire bible, once a year but I didn't reach my goal for 2016. I'll have to do better next year. ❤

Okay, so I'm bringing back an ol' dead thread. However, since its the very first thread started in this forum, I thought it was cool and would be fun to "resurrect" it. =D ....SOOOOO..... How often do you read your Bible?

Me? About once a week. Not proud of that, but it's the truth.

I read the bible from start to finish. Usually a couple chapters a day, sometimes more. Probably 10 -15 minutes a day.
