Elect according to the foreknowledge of God. God knew us intimately before we were born, chose us before we were born, and predestined us before we were born.
This much is certain. The only question is conditional or unconditional election?
I leave that question alone, because I don’t feel I understand election well enough to take a side. I get the feeling that neither position adequately defines election. I just chalk it up as “waiting for further light on the matter”.

I suppose I am in the same position as you I believe he knew the beginning to end but as far as salvation goes it it just goes against his nature for only some to be saved when it is called a free gift for any who would accept it.
And then what is the point of free will if no matter what we chose we either were predestined to be saved or condemned to hell in all honesty it may be higher than our minds can fully comprehend and we just have to go by faith or maaybe that is just my mind
