That's all well and good as long as you continue to ignore the other 100 verses which prove the opposite :cautious:
Does not matter......the referenced quotes MUST be figured in, they are just as inspired as any and all so called verses to support the far left view of anyone....instead of mouthing explain how they fit....the 3 INSPIRED verses below....

God would have all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth....however.....MANY are called, but few chosen because ONE must believe in order to be saved.

The Lord takes NO pleasure in the death of the wicked.

So in this contest for souls, God is losing badly against Satan?
God is not losing anything against Satan...MEN love darkness more than the light and will not come to the light that their deeds may be reproved....God wins every time....!

Does God care about these lost people that stumble trying to find the way to life? If He does care, what is His plan for them? It is written.
God does not plan, God purposes and his purposes never fail. God leaves the non-elect to their own self destruction. They are not his children. God says, if they have not the Spirit, they are none of mine.

Really what good does it do to accuse another professing believer? Do you believe that you have an exclusive on the truth of those 100 scriptures? Did you pastor tell you that those 100 scriptures can only be seen to support Calvinism and predestination or election?

Why not take your favorite verse of the 100 and give a full exposition of the verse and it's relevance as see by Calvinism? Take a positive approach instead of simply endeavoring to beat all opposing interpretations into dust.

Our pastor teaches us that there is only one way to correctly interpret scripture, because God is not the author of confusion.

Are you saying that [saved persons] Christians "have always had the Spirit" even before they've heard the gospel. or anything about the death, burial, resurrection of Jesus Christ??

I think that's messed up.

There is a salvation (deliverance) in coming unto a knowledge of the truth, God would have all men that are effectually called to be children of God. to come to a knowledge of the truth. That deliverance is not eternal, but is received as we live our lives here on earth. Many are effectually called to be children of God, but few are chosen to be revealed the truth of Christ's doctrine. There are a lot of scriptures where God refers to his children as being wicked.

You may think that it is messed up, but join the party, there are far more that think it is messed up, than there are that understand Jesus's doctrine, but it has been so, sense the days that Jesus taught it personally. Eph 2 explains how the natural man, while he is yet dead in sins, becomes regenerated by God's sovereign grace, without the help of man, and, yes, the natural man knew nothing until God put his Spirit within him, and from that day forward the Spirit began revealing the truths, here a little, and there a little.

While that statement can be true there are many who claim to have the correct interpretation. More often than not they are the source of the confusion. Behaviors in search of scripture are often defended well beyond reason.

I suspect your preacher has never been wrong.

AMEN....no one has the spirit unless born again spiritually from above.......there is only one exception that I can think of....John had the Spirit from his mother's womb......

THEM THAT BELIEVE, lets see, does believing in spiritual things harmonize with 1 Cor 2:14? No it does not fit the natural man that cannot discern spiritual things, like hearing and understanding a preacher that is preaching about spiritual things. I don't know why you are insistent on giving a person who does not understand spiritual things the ability to understand.
Primariy because Gods word teaches it and Gods character demands it.

What you teach contradicts Gods word at every point. It is not that sinners cannot understand Gods word the problem is that they do not like what they understand about Gods word. Sinners do not like that God declares them sinners. They fully understand that they are sinners but they hate God because He knows they are sinners.

Without the indwelling Holy Spirit no man can understand the deep things of God. All men can understand that they are sinners and need forgiveness of their sin.

Just curious, do you believe that there are people in this world who do not believe that God exists? That the bible is full of fairy tales? That there is no after life? These are serious questions, so, don't come back with the answer that it is me.

My preacher is never wrong because He has been appointed by God to lead His sheep, so he's not some self appointed Bible scholar like most people here claim to be.

The Bible is encrypted so only those who God appoints will be able to break the code, the rest are all deceived by their own supposed intelligence. God uses the foolish things of this world to put to shame the smarties who think they know it all.

90% of Christians are deceived, they are in for a rude shock when Christ tells them to depart into the everlasting lake of fire.

You are so wrong, God does plan. His plans are laid out in prophecy for those with discernment. His plans for those not called in the first-fruits dispensation are recorded in scripture. Everyone wants theirs right now so they don't search it out. Our Lord wants us to be savvy of all His plans.

John 15:15
"Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you."

Can you explain what you mean by "The first-fruits dispensation" ? I fail to see that John 15:15 has any reference to plans. Give me book, chapter and verse of some of God's plans.

You mentioned "the faith of Christ".

So I was responding (in the post under question) with THIS: https://biblehub.com/text/romans/3-22.htm

The faith of Christ is "unto all those believing" (and it is the person who has to do this, not do the "working" [which is ineffective, regarding salvation and all those things that accompany it: eternal life, understanding the spiritual things [for the mature], etc etc])
I'm not sure what your meaning is. Faith "OF" Jesus, is Jesus's faith, not man's faith.

Wow just wow. No longer any doubt.

I suppose your preacher told you he was appointed by God to lead the sheep. Your preacher cannot be wrong according to you but many here who have studied the bible for possibly more years than you and your preacher together are wrong.

You are well on your way to cult-hood. I hope you have the years to grow and mature that you need. What kind of preaching teaches that others who profess Christ because they disagree with Calvinism will be condemned? Calvinism is a recent movement in the history of Christianity. The apostles missed out not to mention all the great preachers prior to the reformation.

What they believe or do not believe is not an excuse for false doctrine. God deals with each and every soul on an individual basis. Romans 1 states the God reveals Himself to all men. Some receive God through the revelation of His word the bible and others see God revealed in the creation.

They who deny the most are the ones who hate the revelation the most. Gods word brings conviction of sin and men do not like to face their sin. Even more men do not like to hear that they will be judged for their sin. They hate Christ because His righteousness in the only righteousness that satisfied the Father. Men are self righteous and do not like that they are not good enough to please God.

Simple truth is that men must get good and lost before they can get saved.

Paul in Romans 1 is writing this letter to those that are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints. Paul says "that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me". Does not sound like "all natural men" to me. The ones that he is addressing are "all men" of the church at Rome. He even says that their faith is spoken of throughout the whole world, and you are thinking that he is talking to the natural man that cannot understand what he is talking about. 1 Cor 2:11, The natural man knoweth the things of man by the spirit of man that is in him, and the spiritual man knoweth the things of the Spirit by the Spirit of God that is in him. What is so hard to understand about that? If you were but a natural man, void of the Spirit, you would not be on this forum and discussing spiritual things, because the bible would be foolishness to you.

I suppose when Paul is describing those who change the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man he was speaking of believers.

Sorry you cannot even conceive any thoughts that contradict your faulty reasoning.

2Ti 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
