Question, How does one get saved? Answer, first of all one does not GET saved, but one is saved ( regenerated ) as described in Eph 2:5.
One is saved then moment they get saved.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Once again your notions do not align with the perfect harmony of scripture.

How do you convince an unbeliever to listen to your advice View attachment 186844
An unbeliever, the natural man, will not listen to my advice, in fact it would be foolish on my part to give advice to a man who cannot discern spiritual things. Our advice and convincing should be toward those who have already been regenerated to explain that they should deny themselves and be open to what the Holy Spirit within them is revealing to them about the truth of Jesus's doctrine. We cannot be instrumental in getting someone to be delivered eternally, but we can be instrumental in getting the regenerated person to turn from his disobedience to his God and repent... 1 Tim 4:16, By doing this we can deliver ( not eternally ) ourselves and them that hear us. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine, continue in them, for in doing this ( continuing in the doctrine ), shall both save ( deliver ) thyself, and those that hear thee.

Sorry, Roger, but your false interpretation of Romans 10 will not harmonize with the description of the natural man, who cannot confess to spiritual things, believe spiritual things, furthermore, you, again, are trying to use scriptures that are pertaining to disobedient children of God to give the natural man the ability to discern spiritual things, and he cannot. I can give you credit! You sure stick with your false interpretations to try to hold on to your work salvation to eternal life.

The elect are saved ( delivered in a covenant relationship between God and his Son) when Jesus died on the cross, he was regenerated when, by God's grace, he was given the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in Eph 2:5.

Yes, your right we can make the Bible say anything we want so we have ended up with 40,000 Christian denominations all claiming to posses the truth but all at odds with each other over the meaning of the Gospel.

So the truth has been under attack from the beginning and it's no different today, I think it was Cesar who asked Christ "what is truth" he didn't realize that he was looking at the truth. Christ said "I am the truth" so this means that Christ has been under attack from the moment He entered the world up to this day.

The world hates Jesus and it would kill Him again if He returned, we hated Him as well before we were converted. The carnal man hates Christ and so do all sinners, so many who profess to be Christians twist the scriptures to make them conform to their fallen sinful standards. The most obvious is the Roman Catholic Church, it is notorious for twisting scriptures to suit their system of making money from indulgences.

I would dare say that 90% of the 2 billion who call themselves Christian, have apostatized. It's probably more but at least 90% have.
The Biblical teaching is faith comes by hearing. Of course that was before Bibles were printed. The problem is getting people to read it with an open mind.

Calvinism teaches that since the carnal mind is enmity against God therefore God must touch their heart.
Arminianism teaches a person can be convinced with their own free will.

After dealing with devout atheists and providing first scientific evidence that first big bang evolution fails 5 seperate scientific laws and second archaeological digs prove the history of Genesis along with miraculous happenings at Sodom and Jericho they just ignore these facts. The Bible is the only book with history that is 100% accurate. Archaeological digs prove this. All other ancient histories are filled with many errors and sometimes lies. A battle lost is turned into a victory by the ancient Egyptians for example.

The faith in Eph 2:8, is Jesus's faith not man's faith this would be in harmony with Gal 2:16.
Except "the faith of Christ" is "unto all those believing" ;) (meaning, the person has to do this, it's not done for them, just AS I pointed out in Rom4:5 "his faith" or "the faith of him" the person [who is, not working]).

We have an expression for that here in my area. Baloney. You are completely unbelievable. Your denial of scripture places you in the realm of the lost.

I am having a hard time understanding what you are driving at. What are you suggesting that the person has to do, that is not done for him?

I have not denied Romans 10, I have explained it, which you have not even attempted to explain 1 Cor 2:14. All scripture must harmonize, you can not ignore any of them.

Does God care about these lost people that stumble trying to find the way to life? If He does care, what is His plan for them? It is written.

That is simply not true. You deny every scripture that is offer to you and you will not believe. You cannot harmonize even a single verse in scripture except one. Have you ever even received the Holy Spirit like those in John 20:22?

1Co 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

You are a prime example of 1 Cor 2:14 You cannot receive the things of Gods word because they are Spiritually discerned.

You mentioned "the faith of Christ".

So I was responding (in the post under question) with THIS: https://biblehub.com/text/romans/3-22.htm

The faith of Christ is "unto all those believing" (and it is the person who has to do this, not do the "working" [which is ineffective, regarding salvation and all those things that accompany it: eternal life, understanding the spiritual things [for the mature], etc etc])

And yet with your next breath you will say everyone knew the path to salvation, and rejected it.

So everyone is stumbling around trying to find the true path to Christ's atonement.

The majority of unbelievers I talk to Have no idea how to truly serve God. The Antichrist and the Catholics have thoroughly deceived all mankind. So how does one get saved in this mess? o_O
One gets saved in this mess when God draws one to Himself :)

God would have all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth....however.....MANY are called, but few chosen because ONE must believe in order to be saved.

The Lord takes NO pleasure in the death of the wicked.

That's all well and good as long as you continue to ignore the other 100 verses which prove the opposite :cautious:

Really what good does it do to accuse another professing believer? Do you believe that you have an exclusive on the truth of those 100 scriptures? Did you pastor tell you that those 100 scriptures can only be seen to support Calvinism and predestination or election?

Why not take your favorite verse of the 100 and give a full exposition of the verse and it's relevance as see by Calvinism? Take a positive approach instead of simply endeavoring to beat all opposing interpretations into dust.

THEM THAT BELIEVE, lets see, does believing in spiritual things harmonize with 1 Cor 2:14? No it does not fit the natural man that cannot discern spiritual things, like hearing and understanding a preacher that is preaching about spiritual things. I don't know why you are insistent on giving a person who does not understand spiritual things the ability to understand.
