If you are finding out that most of the 500 you are following up on are attending churches regularly that would be phenomenal results.

Like Jonathan Edwards results. Like a 3rd Great Awakening results.

Please tell me more.
We pray often daily and ask the Holy Spirit to chime in, Romans 8
When we see someone coming who we do not know, we pray for them silently.
We have a worship and praise service.
At the end of the service, people are invited to ask individuals questions one on one.
Those of us who are mature, stand up and move to different outside areas of hte group.

Okay I understand.

Provided that Jesus did work on the Sabbath, where do you draw the line for your Sabbath? It seems like Jesus said that doing good things on the Sabbath are acceptable according to Matthew 12. A good thing is working an 8 hour shift to earn money in order to provide food for your family, right?

So, effectively, Sabbath keeping is just about doing good things and not doing bad things? How is this different than any other day?
When I was stationed at Travis AFB, our shifts alternated. Often we did not have time off on the weekend. So, we organized worship sevices at the base chapel all days of the week --- inviting local pastors to preach. We would meet latter to evaluate each pastor for the purpose of weeding out those who were not spirit filled.

You can't find it because it's a bunch of non-biblical, heretical nonsense.

The Sabbath is the seventh day in both the Old Testament and the New Testament alike.

There are those who would have us to believe that the Sabbath switched to Sunday or the first day of the week because that is the day on which Jesus was raised from the dead. However, we're told repeatedly in scripture that Jesus was raised from the dead the day after the Sabbath, and we're never told that the Sabbath suddenly switched to Sunday or the first day of the week.

For example, we read:

Matthew chapter 28

[1] In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
[2] And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
[3] His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
[4] And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
[5] And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
[6] He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Mark chapter 16

[1] And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.
[2] And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
[3] And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?
[4] And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.
[5] And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.
[6] And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

Luke chapter 23

[56] And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

Luke chapter 24

[1] Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
[2] And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
[3] And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
[4] And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
[5] And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

John chapter 20

[1] The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

We must remember that the evening COMES FIRST in a Biblical day, so when they came to the tomb "as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week" (Matt. 28:1), "very early in the morning the first day of the week" (Mark 16:2), "upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning" (Luke 24:1), or "the first day of the week...when it was yet dark" (John 20:1), they were arriving near the midway point of the first day of the week or about 12 hours into that day.

Again, in a Biblical day, the evening comes first (Gen. 1:5, 8, 13, 19, 23, 31).

Not only was Jesus clearly raised from the dead on the day AFTER the Sabbath in all 4 gospels, but he was raised from the dead on the Jewish Feast of Firstfruits, and that feast occurred on the day AFTER the Sabbath.

We read:

Leviticus chapter 23

[10] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
[11] And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

Again, Jesus Christ was raised from the dead "on the morrow AFTER THE SABBATH" or on the Jewish Feast of Firstfruits, and, for this reason, Paul twice referred to Christ as "the firstfruits" in his first epistle to the Corinthians.

We read:

I Corinthians chapter 15

[19] If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
[20] But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
[21] For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
[22] For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
[23] But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

Anyhow, there is nothing, and I mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, in scripture that states that the Sabbath has shifted from the seventh day to the eight day or to the first day of the week. In fact, that heretical nonsense comes to us straight from the Papacy or the literal kingdom of antichrist.
No, nothing in scripture in support that Sunday is now the Sabbath or even the Lord's Day. The Sunday Sabbath started with the Catholic Church and now, most every Christian denomination emulates it.

Yes...I meant to say "There is NO reference to Sunday as the Lord's day? Many worship on Sun's day. Many worship the birth of Christ at Christ Mass. I was not raised Catholic, but I believe that these are two tokens of changing God's laws. Deu_4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. Deu_12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it. Pro_30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

If Jesus changed the laws/the commandments of the LORD, that would make him a sinner and not be qualified to be our Messiah/annointed . This is what the Pharasees and Saducees were hating Jesus because He had the authority to correctly teach the law of Moses and He railed against those sects for their oral traditions that made the laws of the LORD nullified. Our traditions must be examined to make sure they are not adding or diminishing from the written WORD.

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

What I am trying to say politely, is that Jesus is the God of the Old Covenant. He is not some new god that has done away or added to His Instructions to ALL generations.
Thanks for your clarification.

Well, I'm definitely not a Sun-worshipper like the "popes" who foisted "Sun-day' as the new alleged Sabbath on a sleeping church are.

The pagan Roman Catholic church is steeped in Sun worship, and the world's largest solar wheel is actually found at St. Peter's Square. Smack dab in the middle of it is an obelisk which was imported from Egypt where it had previously been used to worship the sun god Ra.

"Christ Mass"?

I'm definitely not a fan of that pagan holiday either as it is steeped in both Sun and Satan worship, even as I documented my last time through here as "Live4Him2". You can read that post here if you're interested in doing so:

I definitely agree with you that Jesus was the God of the Old Covenant. In fact, he was the Rock which followed the children of Israel in their wilderness journeys (I Cor. 10:4), and he was also the one who the children of Israel constantly tempted (I Cor. 10:9) or provoked to wrath.

In relation to Christ being that Rock, it's important to note what got Moses in trouble with God. Initially, God told Moses to "smite the Rock", and this typified Christ being smitten or crucified for us. The second time, God told Moses to "speak to the Rock" because after we come to the smitten Christ, God wants us to commune with him through prayer. If you recall, Moses disobeyed God, and he smote the Rock a second time. God was angry that Moses didn't sanctify him before the people in that Moses broke the typology that God was seeking to demonstrate. In other words, as we're told in the New Testament, Christ will not be "crucified afresh", and by smiting the Rock a second time, Moses gave the impression that he would be.

Anyhow, I'm mentioning this as a precursor to a future post that I hope to make here. In that post, I hope to show exactly why God initially gave us the seventh day Sabbath way back in the book of Genesis, and his intended typology in doing so. Personally, I wouldn't want to be one to break that typology, but I'd venture to say that millions of professing Christians have done just that throughout the course of history or are presently doing just that today.

Sorry if I ranted a bit much. I just don't like people twisting my words.
I like to express what I believe in an open forum. I'm not trying to make another feel less than. I'm not trying to tell another what they have to believe. It would be nice to be able to freely and openly state what I believe, being respected and respecting the views of others. But I guess we all know that's not being very realistic, especially on the BDF.
You are correct. There is reference to Sunday as the Lord's day. But how many have considered the DAY OF THE LORD? iT IS A TIME OF WRATH AND CURSES AND OBLITERATIONS, ETC. ETC.

Jer 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Isa_2:12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

Isa_13:6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

Isa_13:9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

Isa_34:8 For it is the day of the LORD'S vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.

Jer_46:10 For this is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.

Lam_2:22 Thou hast called as in a solemn day my terrors round about, so that in the day of the LORD'S anger none escaped nor remained: those that I have swaddled and brought up hath mine enemy consumed.

Eze_13:5 Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.

Eze_30:3 For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.

Joe_1:15 Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

Joe_2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

Joe_2:11 And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

Joe_2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Joe_3:14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

Amo_5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.

Amo_5:20 Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Oba_1:15 For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.

Zep_1:7 Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord GOD: for the day of the LORD is at hand: for the LORD hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath bid his guests.

Zep_1:8 And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD'S sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king's children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.

Zep_1:14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.

Zep_1:18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD'S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.

Zep_2:2 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD'S anger come upon you.

Zep_2:3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S anger.

Zec_14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

Mal_4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

Act_2:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

1Th_5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

2Pe_3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

1Th_5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Mal_3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Isa 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

Joh_10:30 I and my Father are one.

Joh_17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

Jer_16:19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.
Amen.

That’s true. The sabbath is definitely the seventh day of the week.

I honestly think churches meet on Sunday, not because of some sinister plot by the Antichrist to undermine God, but because there’s a Biblical precedent to meet on Sunday (the first day of the week) and have the Lord’s supper. If churches are calling Sunday, the first day of the week, the Sabbath then yes that’s a problem.

Acts 20:7 KJV
7And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

Thanks for your comment. I find it interesting that very few people have mentioned the word 'keep' in this discussion. I think if we asked people, we would find the term 'keep' means different things to different people.

For example, did God mean keep in the sense that we are to attend ritual observances on particular days or a day.
Or, did God mean 'keep' in the sense that we are to live in the meaning of the sabbath.
Or, perhaps some people interpret it in still other ways.
Keep....means holy.

  1. Exodus 20:8-11 KJV - Remember the sabbath day, to keep it ...
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lordthy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the Lordmade heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lordblessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

  2. Why does the Bible say...if the donkey is in the mire on sabbath get him out...? There can be exceptions.
Another new age religion attack on God's word.

Someone please...show me a mention of that approach on the sabbath ...like no baptism....prior to 1960's.

I observe the Sabbath....
Because there is only One Sabbath....the day Jesus died is it. I remember that day and keep it always in remembrance.

The command isn't Sabbath DayS....it is Sabbath Day....meaning one not multiple ones.
Scripture reference please?

That’s true. The sabbath is definitely the seventh day of the week.
Yes, it most definitely is the seventh day, and for a very good reason which I'll eventually post on.

First of all, the early church MET DAILY to break bread:

Acts chapter 2

[46] And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
[47] Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Secondly, it has been prophesied of the Antichrist that he would "think to change times and laws":

"And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. " (Daniel 7:25)

What entity changed God's law or the Ten Commandments?

Well, of course, that would be the Papacy because they are the literal kingdom of antichrist.

They removed the second commandment regarding the making of graven images because they are steeped in idolatry.

download (48).jpg

Of course, they also divided the 10th commandment into both the 9th and 10th commandments to compensate for their deliberate omission.

And what of "changing times"?

Well, again, there is only one entity which changed the Biblical seventh day Sabbath to an alleged first day Sabbath, and that entity is the Vatican/the Papacy because, again, they are the literal kingdom of antichrist.

I don't need a special day to meet with the Lord. I fellowship with Him every day through the Word and the Spirit.
