But a man-made religion is one where man makes up their own rules to obey The Almighty as opposed to the rules He alone sets.

And yet when I asked you what is sin you tell me your own rule instead of what the scripture says,

I asked a simple question in the spirit of bridging the communication gap, and yet you make a judgment against me.

...one that more so fits you factually.

Do you see why folks can't seem to dialog here?
Do you seriously think it was the Creator who told the Jews not to light a fire on the Sabbath?

One is the law of Moses that condemned the woman caught in adultery to be stoned to death, while Jesus, on the other hand applied His Father's Law and set her free.

Moses, had he been alive would have ordered the stoning of the woman, and when he was alive he ordered, in the name of his god the rape of little children. (Num 31:9-18) For that it should have been Moses who was stoned to death.

This is further proof of the evil nature of the Jewish god, just like Jesus said.
Jesus never spoke that blasphemy. Jesus was a Jew. It would be impossible for Jesus, who was God, to speak as an anti-Semite when he was born to fulfill the Father's promise in the Bible.

Jesus told them, their Father was the devil.

Nobody here has said it is futile to serve God.

Its just futile to serve the 10 commandments that you have no strength to fulfill. Kind of like banging your head against the wall. It serves no purpose.

If you carried out His requirements you would not mourn before Him.

Romans 9:30-32
30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

Well, right here is the difference between the Righteous and the wicked. Its just too bad you can't see it. Its in plain simple english. Is english your first language?

Those who work at the law don't attain to Righteousness. Why not?

Romans 3:19-20
19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Those who work at the law sure think they are righteous. Going about accusing those who don't work at the law but have faith in Christ instead.
Thank God for His grace & mercy , they are new every morning for a reason , to wash us clean daily ...

Those under the Law , they are unbelievers , and the Law stands forever to those who deny Christ...We have been set free from the Law of sin and death...
Thank God we can call ourselves children of God , for the Holy Spirit tells our spirits that we are His...xox...

TO PROGRESS, TO MATURE, TO IMPROVE MY WALK WITH GOD, AND BECOME MORE CHRISTLIKE, TO CHANGE THE INNER MAN, TO BECOME OBEDIENT,
Am not talking about sanctification or christian growth, I am talking about eternal salvation.

I have unmerited favor, I am saved, But, I am not super miraculously turned into the best person I can be for Christ. I am at the beginning of a journey to progress towards perfection. I have been left with help to get there but I must do it on my own.

If having been baptized by the Holy Spirit made me "everything I needed to be" then it would be the same for everyone. Look around. Life proves it just isn't so.
Once again, You are talking about the process of being perfected. and no you do not have to do it on your own. The bible says he is in the process of sanctifying us.

But I am talkin about justification. We are justified BY GRACE, so why do you not believe in eternal security?

This is why I do see how you truly feel.

You think it is a day in and day out event, Jesus did not say that, He Said at a particular time, this man? He got on his knees and cried out to God to save him.

And jesus said he went home justified. He did not go home to continue to work on being justified.

Justification is a one time even based on the finished work of Jesus, not a lifetime event where we try to continue to save ourselves
By the way, thanks for the detailed reply in post #5541.

Hey, I asked you earlier in post#5551 if you thought you could ask forgiveness without a repentant heart. Did you reply to that?

If not for Gods grace, we would be left to our own righteousness, and no one would make it.

And you believe that is referring to the God of the Jews?
Jesus also called the scribes and the pharisees a brood of vipers. Do you believe they were serpents?
The Jews worshipped lots of false gods, they even sacrificed their children to a god called Molec. The Priests banged drums and blew trumpets to hide the babies screams. These various gods were the devil in different forms, worshipped by the Jews. They were doing this in the Valley of Himmon (not sure of the spelling) while Jesus was giving the Sermon on the Mount.

Your welcome,

Again I am confused,

How can I repent of something I already acknowledge was sin?

I do not understand this thinking.

Either I repented. Or I did not

If I did not repent. How did I ever come to faith? And come to the knowledge I was a sinner?

Sin is an offence against God. Lighting a fire is not. You have a man-made religion.

I haven't told you not to light a fire on Sabbath, but you are INCORRECT if you are saying that lighting a fire on Sabbath was a man made regulation;

Exo 35:1-3 NIV Moses assembled the whole Israelite community and said to them, "These are the things the LORD has commanded you to do: (2) For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it must be put to death. (3) Do not light a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day."

Were you assuming it was a Talmudic Pharisaical rule? We all need to be careful not to assume, and you already abhor something so you might have some issues to work out like the rest of us!

They were worse than serpents, they robbed people of their eternal salvation with their false teaching, turning people away from the truth as taught by Jesus and the apostles. Their forefathers even killed Isiah by cutting him in half with a saw. How horrible is THAT.

People need to come out of Judaism.

Its just futile to serve the 10 commandments that you have no strength to fulfill. Kind of like banging your head against the wall. It serves no purpose.
Exodus 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Is this the one giving you fits? Life just bringing you more gods to put before God?

Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
This is probably really pulling at you huh? Need to get out there and make some images
Exodus 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
needing to bow down to something man made?
Exodus 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
I discern this is what is really causing you problems myself, but where does this fall?
Exodus 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Maybe this one?
Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
I KNOW IT IS NOT THIS ONE, YOU LOVE REST, UNLESS THE "KEEP IT HOLY" IS HARD
Exodus 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

Exodus 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Exodus 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Mom and Dads can be rough, but this I would think can't be that hard, can it???
Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.
Can I understand this one??? Hard??? to keep yourself from
Exodus 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Can't be done?????
Exodus 20:15 Thou shalt not steal.
This either????
Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Took me a bit to realize some of the things I said "weren't really truth" and so they were lies, but hard now??????
Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
Got covetness? needing

Do you really find these to be "impossible", or to hard. Any of them?????

Okay, maybe I didn't say it clearly, sorry, I was/am referring to any sins that you commit now, do you seek repentance on those? Or, are you saying when you repented back when you accepted the Blood of Yahshua for your sins and His Lordship, that that repentance covered all future sins?

What passage tells us of that?
Jeremiah 32:35: "And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin."

Did I not admit those were sins before? Am I still denying they are real sins? I do not understand your question, how can I seek something I already supposedly have done?

Or, are you saying when you repented back when you accepted the Blood of Yahshua for your sins and His Lordship, that that repentance covered all future sins?
My repentance did not cover my sin, His blood covered all my sin, he died 2000 years ago. If there are any sins he did not cover, those sins will never be forgiven.

My repentance lead to. My faith, which lead me to fall on my knees and call out. Because I knew I have sinned and could never add up.

So now I have an abba father, and given the right or power to be his son, because of my faith..
