Paul was a jewish man. if he choose to keep the feasts, then that is fine. if a gentile , now in modern day, wants to honor the festivals, or keep the Fri. evening to sat. evening Shabbat, then that is fine.

however, my issue come when judeaizers, called this because they try to convince Christians that they have to turn into an O.T. jew to properly serve Christ, when they tell me as a gentile, who was and is NEVER commanded to keep them that i must do so , then we have a issue, because that is 100% not true, nor Biblical
Ok. I see where you're coming from. How does a gentile properly serve Christ?

I admit I'm a bit confused by that. What accusation did I make? You remember? You responded to my posting in your remarks in post #4,671? And highlighted the first part of my remarks. I've copied them and posted them here:I find it concerning that the ten commandments are treated with such disdain these days when they pertain to how we show respect and love and adoration for God. And also how we are to treat others in God's name.

You then asked in your response something about why lawyers respond that way. I'm not a lawyer therefore it would be your question that implied I am a lawyer. That would make your response the accusatory one I would think.

I'm a born again redeemed Christian. My sins were forgiven and were covered by the precious blood of my savior, and the father will never again hold them against me. I was a sinner but now I am found in the love and light and the hand of Christ.

Those are johns words.

Me? No, I can’t keep them I am lucky if I keep the first command 24/7, let alone the rest of them. And even then, I am not gonna be so proud to think I can keep something God said I can not keep.

I think you are very angry in this discussion. Why are you angry?
Why would you speak that way to me? What have I done to upset you so much?

Eternally_grateful, I intended to answer these two remarks in your post, but I did not in my first reply so I've added them to that reply here.
Those are johns words.
What are you referring to? What words are Johns words?

Me? No, I can’t keep them I am lucky if I keep the first command 24/7, let alone the rest of them. And even then, I am not gonna be so proud to think I can keep something God said I can not keep.
John 15:10-12 "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love. "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. "This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you."

Greetings W,

When you can answer why your admiration, respect, and love for God and His Commandments would bother anybody you will have your answer. Everything has an answer. Sometimes we must come face to face with questions. But always remember the wisdom offered in Proverbs 26. There are challenges that sharpen your understanding, but many have no end to them.

Trust in the guidance of His Holy Spirit! :)

In my view you are a lawyer. Take it any way you want.

You still have not shown how people do what you claimed they did. Not even one example.. So the issue is yours my friend.

Right..I'm not sure exactly how you are viewing this though...they were a shadow of things to come at the time they were instituted, and were fulfilled in Christ. The substance (fulfillment) is Christ.
We agree that the "Substance (fulfillment) IS Christ"... and that these are fulfilled in Him.

Where we might disagree is, for example, where I [I think in this thread or a similar thread] showed a passage like Luke 22:30,16,18 (parallel Matt19:28 [which is parallel time-wise with Matt25:31-34's 2nd Coming to the earth/future], and parallel to Matt26:29 "until THAT DAY when I drink it *NEW* WITH [G3326 - meta - ACCOMPANYING] YOU in My Father's kingdom" [comp. Matt13:24,30,39-43,49-50--same time slot as Matt25:31-34, His Second Coming to the earth (not our Rapture)].

Note how verses 16,18 (Lk22) say, "For I say unto you [His disciples], I will not any more eat THEREOF [that is, of the Passover] UNTIL it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God" and "For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, UNTIL the kingdom of God shall come."

[again, Col2:16-17 says, "which ARE [plural, present tense] a SHADOW [singular] of the things coming [plural]"]

By the way, I do not hold the view that some of the festivals remain unfulfilled as some Hebrew Roots Movement and others teach. I believe they have all been fulfilled in Christ already.
I also do not agree with those who say, "the spring feasts/festivals have been fulfilled; but the fall feasts/festivals have not yet, and will be in the future." I agree with you that they are ALL fulfilled in Christ (the Substance), in His first Advent... but that in some sense (not the way they have suggested it) there are [how you might say] multiple ways in which it "plays out" (for lack of a better way of saying it), just like I was endeavoring to point out in my previous paragraph [/section], above. He IS the Passover (fulfilled in His DEATH), and yet He seems to be saying that "[He] will not any more eat THEREOF [that is, of the Passover], UNTIL it be fulfilled in..." and "not drink of the fruit of the vine, UNTIL the kingdom of God SHALL COME." [keeping in mind the "proleptic 'you'" I've mentioned in the past]

Another example might be (as I mentioned before), how Jesus was [very likely] BORN on "Tabernacles" (primary fulfillment), but we see how Zech14 ("IN THAT DAY/the "DOTL" time period [MK aspect]) that they are instructed to "keep the feast of Tabernacles" (vv.1,6,8,9,16-19); and I believe this is basically a celebration (and acknowledgement) of His "BORN KING" (i.e. birthday :D ) ['born King of the Jews' aspect]; I see nothing "sinful" or "detracting from His finished work" in this (when done at that future time-frame).

Sorry again, for my "butchered-Puritan-style writings" :p

Heb 10:1-4 is actually instructive, too...it refers to the ceremonial aspects of the Mosaic Law as shadows of things to come, as well. The inference is that Sabbath, festivals, new moons are ceremonial aspects of the Mosaic Law..something most HRM types will deny.
Well, I also disagree with the HRM... but how is Heb10:1-4's saying that the blood of bulls and goats NEVER took away sins (back then), incompatible with saying, and it also would never be so in any futurely way, either...?? Just wondering...

Again, PRESENTLY ('in this present age [singular]'), WE ('the Church which is His body') observe "baptism" (a picture of His death, burial, resurrection), and "the Lord's supper" ("ye do PROCLAIM the Lord's DEATH, TILL He come," that is, till He come for US in "our Rapture"... at which time, we ['the Church which is His body'] will be corporately PROCLAIMING something ELSE!! ;) [no longer "proclaiming His DEATH"]).

Woven in all of this, I believe are His time-markers (but not the way in which most suggest! including the HRM!)

^ Oh, and one other thing...

[with regard to Galatians]

it is helpful to study the OT passages where "seed" is in either the singular or the plural (depending on the verse, or whatever)… so it's helpful to grasp which of these, then, that Galatians would be referring to... since BOTH are used in those OT references (meaning, "seed [singular]" and "seed [plural]"... and which is which :D ).

(I'm heading over to your other thread [if I can find it] to add something there. :) )

Adam sinned.

All of humanity was in Adam when Adam sinned.

The Law. Requires. Adam's. Death.

Death is the judgment. Death is the condemnation.

Christ's SPIRIT is from above but Christ's FLESH is a descendant of Adam. See Luke 3:23

Christ's flesh had to die for the same reason why our flesh has to die. Adam's flesh must pay for Adam's sin.

"In Adam all die."

you do know He was born of a virgin, right?

I can't get any straighter than answering "yes", "not" etc for your questions, so I doubt you'll actually be satisfied with any answer I give at this point because you don't agree with them.
you could actually say "yes" or "no" instead of being evasive and using your reply to slander my character.

so that's yes, you believe the law Jeremiah 31 speaks of is "the law" of Moses, with about 2/3 of the jots and tittles removed?

you're cool with removing jots and tittles of the law.
you're cool with Jesus being born a sinner worthy of condemnation and judgement.
you're cool with the ritual cleansing of water being the source of forgiveness of sin.

my dude, you do not have the same gospel that we received and believed.

Ok. I see where you're coming from. How does a gentile properly serve Christ?
the same way everyone serves Christ. with faith, because it is impossible to please Him without it. to believe that HE IS, and that He rewards those who seek Him.
and,

We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
(Colossians 1:9-12)
with knowledge of His will, through the wisdom and understanding which the Spirit gives
bearing fruit in every good work
growing in knowledge of Him
strengthened in His mighty power, which is made perfect in our weakness
in endurance, and in patience
in joy and with thankfulness in every situation

believing Him who has qualified you.
obeying His "
new commandment" -- loving as He who first loved you - He who loved you and gave Himself for you while you were His enemy, hating Him, dead in rebellion and trespass.

the law of our King is to love one another.
the law of Christ is to bear one another's burdens.
to know and trust Him, who is Faithful and True, and will do it.

What about your continued sins? Did he forgive those also? As for you being born again? Only god knows

Thank you for that also and reminding me of the precious wisdom contained in the Book of 1 John and chapter 4.

As well as Corinthians 2:14-16 .

Yes, I'm born again in my spirit and am a new creation by the father's grace. And I know this by God's eternal unchanging word.
I think because Christians are born again and have the mind of Christ that the fruit they bear allows others to reap the blessings therein, and find their way to the light and love of Christ by our example before them.
John 15:10 "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.

The Christian has the mind of Christ. And as such we have the spirit of truth, therefore we are truthful. John 14:17 . We do not bear false witness.Christ is our teacher and therefore we grown through his spirit within us in knowledge and wisdom. John 14:26 Christ is my guide, our guide , and therefore he leads us on the path of righteousness. John 16:13. He gives me, us, insight into things to come, John 16:13 so that we are wise to his plans for us. Series 26

I think a born again Christian who is one with the spirit of Christ , Galatians 3:27, within and is led by that light of truth behave as Christ because we have the mind of Christ. We are kind, merciful, love filled, gentle spoken, and when we judge we use righteous judgment.
We are not harsh, contemptuous, sarcastic, mean spirited, angry. We do not bear false witness, we do not avoid responsibility and turn our wrong onto someone else to bear the burden.

Yep, another characteristic of being a lawyer. You attack the person who disagrees with you, ha ha.. me mad? Never.

John does not tell me, us, that.
So, let me see, as one who has Christ alive within me.
1. I am not a polytheist but a monotheist. I love and am one with the Father. 2. I do not worship idols nor have any graven images of god's nor goddesses in my home. 3.I do not take the Lord's name in vain. 4. I do cherish the sabbath day as a day of rest and time spent in the word of The great Word. 5. I honor my mom and dad and love them dearly as one of their many offspring made in love and led to love them and Christ with all our hearts. 6. I have never murdered anyone. 7. I have been married for a great many years and have never cheated on my husband. Nor has he cheated on me, ever. 8. I am not a thief. 9. I do not lie to people, nor would I commit perjury in court were I called to testify. 10. I work for a living. I admire what my friends have worked to attain however, that is because I know they work hard to enjoy the little things. I do not covet anything belonging to anyone.

You're an example.
Oh? Well I love Gods law. It brought me to christ, It proved to me what A sinner I was. I showed what I had to receive if I wanted my sins atoned. And it did exactly what Paul said its purpose was to lead me to christ. It was the schoolmaster God said it was.

It is still there. Sin is still sin, Coveting is still sin, Adultery is still sin, Dishonoring my parents is still sin, bearing false witness is still sin (although for some reason you people love to commit this sin all the time) they did not go away. But what good are they? They can not teach me how to obey, They can not teach me every possible way of breaking them. They can not teach me what love is. All they can do is kill me. Just like paul said.

So your wrong my friend. Your dead wrong.

Thank you for that also and reminding me of the precious wisdom contained in the Book of 1 John and chapter 4.

So you think you are sinless? Not only have you lied about me, but you do what so many people do here. And for someone reason never answer direct questions.

1. Is your future sin forgiven, or must they still be atoned for
2. Do you still sin.

I will await your response (or lack of response. Which I am used to.

1 John 1: 8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and there is no truth in us.

Notice

1. John spoke present tense
2. He included himself in the sentance, meaning if he claimed to not break any of commands, he himself would be deceived.

I may not be able to follow it, but thanks to the Work and example of my Lord, I am free to try without any fear of a penalty, without any fear of death, and a just a reward when I do accomplish a change in my inner man, knowing, I am more holy than I was before, Thank you Jesus. For those who wish to take away the joy God has given me better be super duper positive they are correct. Me, if I am wrong will get judged in the law, but I wont perish like those without.

Exodus 20:1 And God spake all these words, saying,
Exodus 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. If this isn't a no brainer, there isn't one.

Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. I am not even sure how this is a commandment

Exodus 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

Exodus 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Exodus 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Just not an issue here either, maybe had, no I got nothing.

Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Not sure what taking a day off is all but I say Hallelujah its a law??? Excellent. I must be 1/2 a saint by now.
its
Exodus 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

Exodus 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Exodus 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Quite literally quit my job at 24 yrs 7 months to take care of my Dad for his last 2 yrs on earth with Alzheimer's. Lived with me up until the last 3 weeks when he got an infection and was in the hospital. During this time my 80 year old mother had to have shoulder surgery. Had them both in the hospital on different floors. Mom is legally blind now and back to living with me having had her last bit of independence for a couple years. That's been a couple years now. So no problem here either.

Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill

Exodus 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Exodus 20:15 Thou shalt not steal.

Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

I never killed, never committed adultery, can't remember the last time I stole but I'll be it was a pen. But when I realized I had stolen a pen I would make myself go back to where I stole it from and give it back. A couple 5 or 10 mile trips and that ends right about now. No lying about or for friends or neighbors, and I don't even want all the stuff I have been given let alone some one elses stuff.

Now I don't feel like I am different than most Christians but NONE of these seem like "laws". Do they?

Exodus 20:18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.

Exodus 20:19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

Exodus 20:20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.

This is where I split with my opposers. God is come to prove us all. That will never change. It can not change. It can not change because GOD IS JUST. GOD CAN'T GET RID OF THE LAW FOR THE VERY SAME REASON.

Exodus 20:21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

Exodus 20:22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

Exodus 20:23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.

Exodus 20:24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.

Exodus 20:25 And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.

Exodus 20:26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

If you want to know what laws we follow here it quite simply is, If the WORK OF JESUS effected it, OR IT HAS NO PLACE UNDER GRACE, OR IT IS NOT REVELANT TO YOU FINDING AND WALKING YOUR MOST HOLY God willed LIFE, IT APPLIES not. The Spirit dwelling within you will guide you to GODS WILL FOR your life and another human can not do that. IF you need more of a flesh example you need to study with lots of prayer or you need to find out why the spirit is not dwelling within to help you out.

Maybe you could help me with my particular dilemma PH.
What "is" it, when it is no longer "faith?"
When one "hears" the voice of God?
When one experiences a "love" so deep, strong and thorough, that it goes right through one? Making one know what is written concerning the "being as a dead man?" Which is a pretty "watered down" version (where one has trouble containing one's own bodily fluids, from just about every orifice), of that which actually transpires within one's own flesh body?
Is that still faith? Or? Is it something else?
If so?
What?
And, who would one be serving?
God?
The Father?
The Son?
All of the above?
None of the above?
Or? Would it be along lines something like this?
Revelation 20
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. (?)
Or something like this?
John 3

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (?)

Is it STILL "Faith?"

Or, is it a curse?

1 Peter 2
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. (?)

Isn't it odd, that some people will only answer questions they wish to answer, and simply "ignore" any questions the don't want to answer?
Yet, these same people DEMAND an accounting for every SYLLABLE one states from someone who believes something different then they do?
Does this not SEEM odd?
To you?
To anyone?

Exodus 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

The pharisees thought they obeyed also. Paul said quite clearly, as a pharisee he was BLAMELESS concerning the law.

I am not sure that is the same crowd I would want to be associated with

Now. Me? I set my mind on the things of the spirit. I follow the law of love, Which when doing this, Will not break any of the commands, Because when you are loving people and God and putting their needs over yours. Your not focused on your needs, Thus you will not sin against them

Sadly, we can not do this 24/7 our flesh still has power.. Our goal is to grow our spirit. And kill the flesh, so we love self less and less. Thats christian growth.

So you think you are sinless? Not only have you lied about me, but you do what so many people do here. And for someone reason never answer direct questions.

1. Is your future sin forgiven, or must they still be atoned for
2. Do you still sin.

I will await your response (or lack of response. Which I am used to.
They have eyes but they do not see. They have ears but they do not hear. "9 Whosoever is begotten of God doeth no sin, because his seed abideth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is begotten of God " 1 John 3
I've responded in full to each and every question. Even though you do not like the answers I've given. Proverbs 23.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.

Ok. I see where you're coming from. How does a gentile properly serve Christ?
I point you to posthuman's answer in #4710. I agree 100%, written much better than this country boy from the south ( usa ) could say.

the only people with these instructions are the ones who crossed the red sea, if, you know, you think that Moses said what God told him correctly.

Yes, I'm born again in my spirit and am a new creation by the father's grace.
Get yourself ready to say this 1000 times as they accuse in all their posts that you "can't have received the gift of salvation and still acknowledge the law' For some reason their brain just can't grasp such an out of this world concept.
the only people with these instructions are the ones who crossed the red sea, if, you know, you think that Moses said what God told him correctly.[/QUOTE]I THINK JESUS PROVES MOSES GOT IT RIGHT HERE OR AM I MISSING SOMETHING?
Matthew 5:1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
Matthew 5:2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Matthew 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Matthew 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
WHOS YOUR SAVIOUR?
Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
WHO IS SPEAKING?
Matthew 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
THOU SHALT NOT KILL MOSES SAID, BUT WHO TOOK IT FURTHER? THOSE COMMANDMENTS WERE BUT A SHADOW OF WHAT WAS COMING, DO YOU SEE IT HERE?
Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
IT IS MORE INTENSE
Matthew 5:23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

Matthew 5:24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

Matthew 5:25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

Matthew 5:26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.
MOSES SAID, BUT OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST SAID NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS ALSO
Matthew 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Matthew 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Matthew 5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Matthew 5:31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Matthew 5:33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:

Matthew 5:34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:

Matthew 5:35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.

Matthew 5:36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.

Matthew 5:37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Matthew 5:38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

Matthew 5:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Matthew 5:40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.

Matthew 5:41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

Matthew 5:42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Matthew 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Matthew 5:46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

Matthew 5:47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
