the view that Satan was telling the truth, that committing sin makes you godlike, is (imo) foolishly simple, frankly blasphemous and doesn't fit the text at all, because Eve is not included in God's statement, but only Adam. It's a response to what Adam had just done.

I asked you a question, because you said or implied man became like angels.
So I'm asking when God said let us make man in our image who was the us.

- It was never God, but Satan and Satan alone who said eating the forbidden fruit would make Woman like God. fact, not assumption.
- the most common view is that Adam and Eve became like God by eating the forbidden fruit. fact, not assumption.
- God did not say Adam and Eve had become like "us" - He said that of Adam. fact, not assumption.
