Your definition of sinner differs from the Biblical definition of sinner. If you insist upon creating you own dictionary, then it will be a challenge to continue communicating with you.

A sinner is one who lives in a state of rebellion against the lordship of Christ. A sinner is one who refuses to repent and admit he is wrong.

If nothing else this discussion affords the example of differences. Those who read the scriptures, to those who understand what God is saying. Superficial vs. deep.

But there is a difference between "declared" and "made." If we were made righteous, we would no longer sin. Anyone honest with themselves knows they still sin. We are declared righteous.

You don't see the conflict in what you are saying. You say "Christians are not sinners," but you acknowledge that we still sin. That's a contradiction.

There are far too many differences between sinners and children of God for them to be one and the same.
If you are a born-again child of God, you are not a sinner. You will slip, make mistakes, fall short and sin. But that is neither your identity nor your nature. You are simply in an imperfect vessel (the human body / the flesh) which gives in to temptation (Galatians 5:17). You are a spirit with a soul living inside a body and having the human experience, including the human disadvantages (1 Thessalonians 5:23). Yet you need to over stand you are very different from a sinner for the reasons mentioned herein and then some. And for these reasons, new believers often look and act like unbelievers. While salvation occurs in an instant, the process of becoming more and more like Christ (sanctification) takes both time and growth. The Bible clearly speaks for itself on all of this without the need for interpretation.
It is most important that you remember Christ (Yeshua) did not come to help you stop sinning. He came because you could not stop. No human being is free from sin but children of God do not practice a life and nature of that sin. And when we fall, we restore each other, we repent and we realize that we have been forgiven.

While I don't believe in "sinless perfection" I think people are missing the point here. I haven't had a chance to read the entire article but from the above piece that is not what this article is saying.

If we live to the flesh we fail. I think this is talking about some who live a defeated Christian walk because they believe they are sinners and can never get past that point. They may have that one thing they just can't turn loose of. What this seems to be saying is you are saved, you are not a sinner, you're saved but you still slip and fail. You are not the same as a sinner. A sinner does not know God, they haven't repented, they have no knowledge of what is right or wrong because they do not know the truth. There is no such thing as a Christian sinner. A sinner is still in the dark. They don't even know they are lost yet. We need to be careful with our terms. The light came on as I read this piece as to what it is saying. A sinner has not been bought with a price, we have. Once we understand this we will no longer live to the flesh. Good read.

Obviously we aren't meant be perpetual sinners. But Christians do sin. No mortal person is perfect.
