My favorite ones are John 3:16 and Romans 3:23. My favorite song is amazing grace how sweet the sound. At times I just enjoy just reading the words to the song. I once was lost, but now am found, was blind but now i see.

Ruth 1:16 King James Version And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

This is a verse I learned early on that really resonated with me and has stayed with me through the years.🙂💜

"3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."
Philippians 2:3-4 NIV

When I was a child we use to watch the Christmas movies made for kids. The Little Drummer Boy movie, claymation in its early stages, was one of my favorites.
This is that song in a new style. Since we're close to Christmas I thought it would be appreciated.

If heavens not my home
Then Lord what would i do

The angels 👼 becon me
Through heavens open door
And I can't
Feel at home

I lean towards favourite passages rather then favourite verses.. The following passage was critical in me understanding the way of salvation and it was when i read the following that i understood and became an Actual Christian..

Romans 7:

14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. 16 If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. 17 But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. 19 For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice.

20 Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. 21 I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. 22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!

When I was jez a bear cub, goin' to Church with the family every Sunday?
Sure there were a lot of verse memorization. What seemed to make it "stick", with/in me was when it was put to music. Of course Mom, havin' a lovely soprano voice, and could play the piano, and at times sang solos during Church, MAY have had something to do with it. :) Calls it "music appreciation", if ya want. sounded like even king David had a "flair" for music appreciation in his younger days.

When we were saved most of us started learning the basics through memory verses and repeated references to certain basic passages like John 3:16-17> "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." KJV

or 1st Thess. 5: 8) "But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and the helmet of our hope of salvation." NIV

What are some of your favorite early memory verses for young Christians to remember? Songs like amazing Grace count also.
Ah I miss My bible in school teaching days!!
Memory verse that sticks in my brain is Romans 8:28 and we know in all things God works for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose

Also the song Gods love, goes on and on forever. GOds love never ever ends. It just goes on and and on and on and on and on and on...

That would be Christian 201. 101 is new believer 201 is just more advanced but that's way it's supposed to go. So I guess 201 would be student. I was in my 20's when I got the Catholicism and Science fiction washed out of my brains.
