A true Jew is one who praises God. This means the Word is spoken to all who believe.

Why do you suppose Jesus declares He is able to raise up sons of Abraham from the very stones?
For the benefit of those who do not understand, the post above is totally in line with the Gospel according to Jesus-Yeshua.

There is never any harm in learning what the words employed in the Bible actually mean.

I respectfully disagree. Repentance is required of everyone since Jesus paid the penalty for the sins of each individual throughout history. And therefore all contributed to His being put to death.
But concentrating on Acts 2 . Its clear that Peter is telling them to change their view on this one that was considered a criminal and deserving of death . They need to now reconsider this ( repent) and DO what was required. There not thinking ' saved eternally ' ,but delivered. Thats always Israels objective to be delivered from their enemies . But they murdered their deliver so now what ? " what must we do? " There not told to repent in the way of shop lifting, lying , adultery, drug dealing ect . These are Law observing Jews . No they need to repent of the very thing Peter is specifically addressing leading up to verse 38 .

Of course the Gospel is intended for the Gentiles . ( 1 cor .15 -1-4 )
There is no verse that says that others have to follow the message of Acts 2.38 ?
Clearly the experiences associated with the Samaritans, (Acts 8:12-17) Gentiles, (Acts 10:44-48, 11:13-14) Ephesians, (Acts 19:1-6) indicate they were given the same instructions as Peter first gave the Jews in Acts 2:38.

Jesus first coming was only for the lost sheep of the house of Israel (Matthew 15:24).

But yes, thru the cross, God is able to extend salvation to gentiles, but that revelation would only come later thru Paul.

Peter was unaware of that in acts 2

Did not the thief repent by openly confessing the our Lord did nothing wrong but. He went on to say, confess, that he and the other man with were guilty.

I believe for anyone who has received mercy from our blessed Savior would be only too happy to extend mercy to the thief, and love.

There is a real question about God's relationship difference between gentiles and Jews. Many Christians truly believe that much of the old testament was to Jews only, and gentiles were never included in any care and love God expressed there. Yet much of scripture is about God's love for all men, all men were created by God. We are told in many scriptures in many ways that God's love is not based on who are parents were. There are 117 verses in the KJV where scripture explains, usually, that God is speaking to gentiles, calling them strangers among the Jews.

Our gentile parents were Hittites, Amorites, Canaanonites. They did not listen to the Lord, they were the gentiles. But when the Jews left Egypt to escape slavery, there was a mixed crowd. It wasn't composed of only people with Hebrew parents. Everyone was accepted.

When God gave the new covenant, it was to Israel. Yet many who insist that in the old testament God excluded gentiles from his care and love, accept that God meant the new covenant to include them.

Based on scripture, I feel certain that any time God speaks to the Jews, we are also included to learn from it. God does not tell us we are excluded.
I think your over generalising with respect. Gentiles had to become proselytes remember.
We have to make sense of Eph 2.Speaking of Gentiles

12That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

This is the Gentiles position

( Yes there have been exceptions to the norm .
Prior to Acts 10 a gentile had to convert to being a proslyte first.

The OP speaks of a scripture being to Israel not gentiles. The response is often that the Lord means all scripture for our benefit.

2 Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Any time a reader refuses to listen to scripture because it is to Israel and (they say) not gentiles, they are misreading scripture. This does not mean that we should not look at the contents of scripture as some criticize us as doing. We can look at who the scripture was addressing, and learn from the scripture.

It is important for Christians to know that God is a universal God, a God of all mankind, that because God chose the Hebrews for a special mission it does not mean God does not love and care for you, and each scripture verse expresses that, even those addressed first to Israel.

Ok your over generalising . All scripture is relevant. Ok does that help ? The point is we are to understand it .

Repentance for Gentiles is not strictly necessary. We need to believe in Jesus's death burial and resurrection for our sins. If there is repentance, it more to repent of our works to get right with God, and rest in Jesus's finished works.
Repentance for Gentiles is necessary. Properly understood, repentance and believing are two sides of the same coin.

Amen! Acts 20:21 - testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance toward God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes that is what I said, "If there is repentance, it more to repent of our works to get right with God, and rest in Jesus's finished works."

That is also repentance, which means change of mind.

My point is as stated in the Op . I'm not necessarily talking about 'repentence ' but the overall message is towards those Jews and its not a general message that we can apply today .
