Col. 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Is 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Jesus didn't say He was Lord of the foreskin. He said He was Lord of the Sabbath.

Jesus didn't say cutting off your foreskin was for man. But He did say the Sabbath was made for man.

Duet 10:
16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:
LOL
is this the part where I'm supposed to accuse you of saying God taught differently in the old testament than he does in the new?

a stiff necked man is suddenly broken.

No, that would be a false teaching, like the teaching that the Pharisees were trying to please God by keeping His Commandments, or like preaching what the Word which became Flesh called Holy are actually "vain deceit" and Rudiments of the world..

No, I had hoped that you would consider the promise of God to allow Gentiles (uncircumcised by definition) into His Kingdom, just as He promised to change the way God's Laws are administered and how our sins are forgiven in Jer. 31.

you must not have noticed when i mentioned the Gibeonites, or you would have already known.

what does the cessation of the physical command to be circumcised teach? God commanded it be physically kept. He no longer demands its physical observance. why?

I guess a person would have to know what it means to have the foreskin of their hearts circumcised in order to understand what the meaning behind the physical act represented, and why it was used as an "Example" for our admonition so that we wouldn't lust after disobedience the way they lusted after it.

Lev. 26:40 If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;
41 And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:
42 Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

Duet 10:16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.

Rom. 2:25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, (Stiffnecked) thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.

1 Cor. 7:18 Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.
19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

"Remember the Sabbath to Keep it Holy".

Is. 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

This would explain why men, who disgard the Holiness of His Sabbath, preach that the Pharisees were trying to earn salvation by following God's Commandments. This would also explain why they can't, aren't able, to see the difference between Zechariahs and the Pharisees. It would also explain why "many" believe that what the Word which became Flesh calls "HOLY" are actually just "Rudiments of the World".

What if Jesus is right? What if the Sabbath WAS made for man? What if "denying our self" and following the Word which became Flesh, like Abraham did, is circumcision of the heart?

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

I have Faith that Jesus knows what He was doing when He Created "ALL" things and gave me His instructions. If you have found another way to the Father, good for you.

I'm sticking with the Christ.
