I don't think analgesic cremes have an unpleasant smell anymore.

My back goes out more than I do.

The only "hard drinking" I do anymore is the baking soda in water I have after supper.

I think everyone drives "like a freaking maniac".
 
You think Kevin Hart and Kevin Gates are the same person. True story, I told my students I thought Kevin Gates was a comedian, they pretty much laughed at me and told me I was old.

It might be that I am simply not well acquainted with pop culture.

When while trying to decided what to have for dinner you have to take into consideration if whether or not it will give you indigestion.

I still listen to Vanilla Ice and think he's cool...just kidding...lol

But I guess just remembering him as a rapper and not as a home re-modeler makes me old...lol

Well, ice would be cool- by definition. I remember in middle school when he became a celebrity and those kids who didn't like rap music made a parody, "rice, rice, gravy." I don't know if it was peculiar to our area or not. I never liked him, but I don't like rap music. I'd probably like him better as a remodeler.

Lol, actually in the 90s in our area, it was UNCOOL to like rap music. The cool kids liked Garth Brooks, and we nerdy kids discovered the Beatles and Pink Floyd. But, that was a different time.

Just looked up Garth Brooks on youtube.I dig it!What I wouldn't give for a slice of southern life for a day.....its so foreign to me...but then I have a romanticized view of it from movies like "Broke Back Mountain."

Also, I wish the kids at my school liked Garth Brooks and Pink Floyd Growing up .....but they were stupid upper middle class brats who imbibed the worst of American culture through cable TV....ie."The Ninja Turtles", "Gun's and Roses" , "Beverly Hills 902010" and "Days of our Lives"......ugh!

I remember boys liking Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and girls talking about Beverly Hills 90210. I felt out of the loop, because we were not allowed to watch it. Thank God for Blossom!, that was a show I was allowed to watch and talk to my friends about the next day. Actually, I bless my mother for protecting us. She kept us innocent for a long time. I can actually remember my innocent mind. I don't think many kids can nowadays, which is extremely sad.

Lol, Brokeback Mountain is certainly NOT indicative of my area. I haven't seen the film, but I think most people around here would not identify with it. It's hard for me to think of a really accurate southern film. They are all kind of fakey. Some of the ones that feel more authentic are not set in the present. O Brother Where Art Thou is fantasy, but accurate somehow. Another one many people like here is Sling Blade. That one seemed real. I CAN"T STAND Forrest Gump- I hate it with a purple passion. It is condescending, in my opinion.

I'd love to go to Australia. We adored The Man from Snowy River growing up, and Australian men all seem masculine and handsome!
