It does sound interesting. I have been saying that Christians need to be better about creating cultural capital.... at the same time, my heart doesn't trust any gaming company to do this well. I guess we will see.
 
So, for anyone interested, I AM Jesus Christ prologue is available for download on steam... I'll give it a once through and review for anyone who is interested.

I personally would play this video game if it were free. Also, I don't see any problem with using video games as a medium to talk about Jesus. I can't find any issues with putting Jesus in books, magazines, art, and movies so why not add video games to the list? I think there is some caution to throw to the wind about idolatry: don't commit idolatry.

I see that this is a good thing as long as the message about Jesus remains true, contains some information about salvation through faith, and holy living, but doesn't need to be exhaustively all-inclusive.

I saw a presentation of the game and the way it presents Jesus doing miracles is reminiscent of times I have seen people do witchcraft.
I believe that there is a normalization of sorcery in our society and the undiscerning Christian will be deceived by this representation of Jesus. It seems to put Jesus on the same level as a magician.

We must not be ignorant of the enemy's devices. This is a time of testing the has come upon the whole earth.

Do not be conformed to the way this world thinks, but let Jesus transform your thinking that you may see as He sees and thus do what pleases the Father.

From what I’ve seen from the gameplay it actually has potential to raise interest in Jesus Christ to the general public through the medium video games; something that is rarely, if ever, done.

The secular world dominates the gaming industry with actual evil. However, this game is like a first person walkthrough of the story of Jesus, loaded with verses, and many quotes by Jesus. That’s not evil. Even if some of the gameplay is adapted to make it more entertaining, I don’t think that’s particularly a problem.

Sorry. I wasn't trying to make a comparison. I was simply pointing out what Marvel has done. I can't imagine that it will produce any positive results in those who read that garbage. It's just another attempt to strip Jesus of his deity.

As far as the game is concerned, I shy away from any images of "Jesus". To me, it's a form of idolatry, and I don't like to give such images any place in my mind.
