It might sound silly, but really think about it.

You know all your strengths, weaknesses and you know what really goes on in your own mind. It's you but another person, if that makes sense...
Knowing all that would you date yourself?
Would you enjoy spending time with yourself? (if it was another being of course)
Would you trust this other you?

Let's have a discussion about this topic, what is everyone's thoughts?

I tried but I kept forgetting to call.

I already do. I take myself out to the movies, concerts, and restaurants. One time I went to a restaurant and was waiting to be seated. I was getting ignored, but a worker finally asked me, "Is there something you want?" I replied, "I'd like to eat." He gave me a weird look and then looked behind me. Then he asked, "By yourself???" I chuckled and said yes. He eventually warmed up to it and was nice the rest of the time I was there.
As far as trust goes, I only fully trust the Lord.

I think Loki season 1 ended with him dating an alternate universe version of him as a woman.

If I dated a girl me, it would be a non-starter. I'm very much a homebody, so the date would not happen because we would both stay home instead of bothering to go on a date.

I should probably go on a date with somebody who is very not like me.

What's wrong with eating at a restaurant by yourself? Single people get hungry too.

What kind of restaurant was this?

It was at Buffalo Wild Wings lol
It's funny, I've took myself out to eat numerous times to places where you have wait to be seated and places where you don't...and that's really the only time I've had resistance. It wasn't even busy there that day, so it wasn't like I was taking up space that could've been used for couples/families. My favorite place to eat is at a mom & pop cafe downtown where I live. They have always been super nice to me when I walk in there by myself.

Something happened to me another time (not at an eatery). I had taken myself downtown to a concert. Afterwards, I thought I'd have a nice stroll through the gardens downtown where the paths are lighted and there is a nice mini bridge over water and fountains here and there. As I was on the small bridge looking at the water, I looked across the water to see one of the security guys that patrols the area at night looking back across at me. He asked, "You out at night by yourself?? Where's yer man??" :sneaky::rolleyes::ROFL:

Probably not. There are personality traits I lack that I would enjoy if my spouse had them. Example- play an instrument or bake..... I can't bake. If there's meat involved I'm fair but baking, not one bit. Maybe the Pillsbury cinnamon rolls that come in the tin roll......if you count that as baking lol. I think opposites attract.

I agree. The best relationship I've been in has been with someone who wasn't much of a cook. Meanwhile, I'm much of a cook! (or so I'm told). So a lot of time was spent baking and cooking. Homemade cinnamon rolls too. And homemade stromboli (a fave) and many other things. It's good to not be exactly alike. You should have some different abilities and strengths to compliment and help each other.

No kidding. A guy with a job and showing interest. It's hard to knock off deal breakers 2 at a time.
I let go that she missed the opportunity with the BWW waiter, but a security guard... let me know when that SMH emoji arrives.

Exactly. It reminds me of science class in school. They took out the magnets and said positives are attracted to negatives........ I don't know why that came to mind haha

It's nice to have male interpretation for these scenarios! Even so, the waiter was much too young for me...and the guard wasn't as young as the other guy, but still too young for me.

Also, it's good to have different interests to pursue so that you can have something to talk about when you are together. It's good to have interests you both enjoy, so that you can share experiences and grow together. A nice balance.
