Trump is unique in that his celebrity is associated (rightly or wrongly) with managerial expertise and project completion. That and a stereotypical brashness in doing so. They like the symbol of sending "THE BOSS" to Washington.

While it is a sign that Americans are seduced by a skilled entertainer and that audio-visual media influences how we choose leaders (for the worse), I would be confident, for the time being, that Kim Kardashian would make no serious waves while running for President.

That being said, I share the same general sentiment.

"...putting limits on everything we have worked hard to gain" I see the same thing happening in the GOP. Many of them want to overturn Roe vs Wade and overturn Gay Marriage. If we want more social liberties, Republicans are not the way to go it seems...

No one is going to overturn these evil things, don't worry. They just pretend like they are for votes, none of the candidates remaining will actually do it, much less the two prominent candidates Hillary and Trump.

So, your constitutional rights are only attempted to be taken away by Dems with their anti-gun idea's, but never by Reps with their anti-abortion and gay marriage ideas? Some consistency, please!

Lol the only mistake here is assuming Cletus actually has principles and morals. I don't think Cletus actually cares about fighting the abortion system of the rapid sexual degeneration of America. Cletus is all ready brainwashed.. An easy pawn to manipulate.

I'll make it simple for you. The Constitution is trash because it allows for the guns, the abortions, the sexual depravity, and just about every foul thing ever conceived. It's secularism codified and is at the heart of the decay of Western Civilization. Even with all that the so-called adherents to the Constitution cannot even follow it.

and without it all those things you speak of are somehow just poof....vanished into thin air? This might be the most upside down reasoning I've ever heard. I mean on the outside it sounds smart and all but if you really really really.....really think about it, it becomes the most stupid notion in the whole universe.

Without it the biggest legal protection for these things vanishes. You don't really have to think about it too much when all the bloodthirsty gun nuts, abortion supporters, and sexual deviants justify all these things by the Constitution.

I do not believe you understand the role and purpose of the United States Constitution if you think it is responsible for a host of moral ills.

I think he's technically correct about the constitution actually. Freedom means we sometimes have to allow people to do things we don't necessarily agree with. The constitution does defend homosexuality, heterosexual immorality, etc... I just disagree that owning guns is one of the perversions. Guns aren't bad... people are bad...

It's bad because it forces your own personal religious views on every citizen, some of which has very different religious views. That is the problem with theocracy...it turns into fascism at it's finest.

The Constitution is a secular document, and thank God for that! Without a secular document that allows for the freedom of ALL religions or lack thereof, we could quickly turn into Iraq or some country that wants to make the principles of the Quran the law of the land. That is dangerous, with the Quran or the Bible or any holy book.
