will the word really end (2012)

actually i was going to ask the same question coz i don`t know the answer ,i hope somebody could answer that
 
Check the Mayan civilization. This movie is based on it.
There is no way we know the end. Only God does.
 
If we accept the bible as literal then it is impossible. We know the tribulation period will last seven years. Since the tribulation period has not started then the world cannot end then. However, it is possible that 2012 is the beginning of the tribulation period.
 
We know that there is still to be a 1000 year reign by Christ on this current Earth. The bible says once those 1000 years are up Satan is released, defeated, and then the current Earth and Heavens are destroyed and replaced by something newer and better. So we still have 1000 years plus change before the Earth goes away. Will there be calamities in 2012? Possibly, but Earth destroyed? no.
 
Who cares? if it ends it ends, if it doesn't, life goes on, what can you possibly do in 2 years? It's stupid to worry about things like that.

The myan calender is said to end i wish i could tell you in person its much easier to explain but it is said all the planets will alighn and throw off the gravataional pull from the sun, but that just a big hunk of balonii i think that nobody know the end it says in mat 23 i think? i know its the early 20's
 
I think as human beings we all feel this impending event is on the horizon. Jesus told us to be alert to His coming. But only the Father knows the exact time. Being alert means being ready at all times for Jesus said he will come like a thief in the night. Our task was not to predict the exact moment of his return, but to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind, and to love our neighbors. If we keep to those tasks then the Lord will call us good and faithful servants when He does return. Keep your eyes on the task you've been trusted with and use your energy to love others, and let the Father worry about the grand finally.

I think we are getting very close to the second coming of Christ. But we can't let Hollywood influence us like that movie 2012.

They are also coming out with a movie this weekend called LEGION and it is completely antichrist. It protrays God as the bad person.

its kinda funny, the mayan calendar has already restarted tons of times. and as many before me have said. Don't worry, have faith an let him worry about the end. :)
 
Actually, the mayans didn't think the world was going to end, it's just the end of their calendar. The whole 2012 thing is nothing but propaganda.

Well said. I agree we need to live each Day as if the Lord could return, then we don't have to fear of not being ready when the end comes. Because we know we are safe in his arms.

i mean we still have time to get ready for the last day
 
If the mayans knew that the world will end in 2012 then the Word of God is a liar because in Matthew 24.36-39 says:

"But of that day and hour no one has knowledge, not even the angels in heaven, or the Son but the Father only. 37 And as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man. Because 38 as in those days before the overflowing of the waters, they were feasting and taking wives and getting married, till the day when Noah went into the ark, And they had no care till the waters came and took them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of man. "
 
Anyways, I don't see why 2012 would be any more important to God than say 2011 or even 2010. The Bible says no man knows the hour, so we can't walk around predicting it... It only leads to false prophets... N who wants those?
