Yes. If you're interested find someone locally to teach you. It's not really something you learn on a computer.
Head knowledge won't get you as far as experience.
But then again if you don't plan on being out there what's the point?

Have you seen the movie "Into the Wild"? That's a good cautionary tale.

There are tons of resources online to learn about this tho. The most important thing is FIRE and knowing how to start one in any condition.

Honestly I’d like to learn some of those skills too. I’m in Arizona so I’d need to specifically find stuff for surviving in the desert.

potassium permanganate is a water purifier, touching a tiny amount of glycerin to a little potassium permanganate will produce flame, really handy for humans to make fire.

There are certain cactcti which are edible along with their fruits...….but that will take some research on the part of the consumer.

what the Bible tells us is 'coming' is definitely coming, and yes, we should be prepared in some way or another,
never hurts to be 'prepared' - but, the bottom line is, be 'prepared in your walk with Christ first', and He will
guide you in all direction...
'MATT. 6:33.'
'But seek you first The Kingdom of God, and His Righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you'.

Pretty much the three necessities are food, water, and shelter. How you go about obtaining these three is going to be very different based on where in the world you live. Water and shelter are the two most critical depending on weather will determine which is the first. In extreme cold shelter is going to be most critical in extreme heat water will be more important with shelter (getting out of the sun) being a close second. Food is the least important since you can live for a couple of weeks with little to no food whereas you can (depending on climate) only live a day to a couple of days without water.

PS. 56:11.
In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

If He is telling us to prepare and we don't/won't He has done His part.
We need to be in relationship and heed His direction.
That is my attitude as well, to trust in His blessing and provision, He promises to care for His own.
