I just came back from a family gathering where my wife and I were attacked for voting for Trump. I told them there was no way I would vote for people who supported aborting babies even up to the time of birth. They responded we could have written in another name, any name. In other words we could have thrown away our vote.
Their argument was that this election has consequences to real people.
1. They talked about immigrants being kidnapped and deported. I can sympathize with that but why can't they sympathize with all the blue collar workers in this country that lost their jobs to illegal immigrants? The reason Democrats want illegals is because they are easier to enslave, anyone doesn't like being enslaved they simply get them deported. The pay is off the books, no benefits, so much cheaper than hiring an American citizen. So I don't view this as black and white concerning who is violating human rights. Maybe if ICE deports 1 million people they will make a mistake on 1% of the people, that would be 10,000. On the flip side if they don't another 100k Americans will die from Fentanyl overdose and American citizens won't be able to get jobs. It turns out that now that Trump is in office Americans are getting jobs back from the illegals who are losing them. Judge righteous judgment.
2. Cutting off grant money to AAID and NIH causes real people to lose their jobs. I know that. But if you borrow $36 trillion the day comes when you have to pay if off and that means you must tighten your belt and that means people being paid by the government lose their jobs. I don't blame Biden for the $36 trillion debt, I blame him for not trying to reduce it. Also, if you do sleazy things like AAID you should have your funding cut off. As for NIH they were behind the vaccine mandate. Did any of these liberals shed a tear for all those who lost their job because they refused the vaccine? Mandating an experimental vaccine has very specific requirements in order to be legal, the US mandate violated all of those safeguards and so was illegal. If NIH was responsible for this shouldn't they be held to account? Am I really supposed to feel sorry for those who lose their job as a result when they were the ones responsible for the illegal mandate causing many Americans to lose their jobs? With what measure you measure it will be measured to you again.
Did any of them give me one good reason why I should have voted for Kamala Harris? Nope.
But you know what they tried to do? They pulled out a Bible translation (a new one) that translates Numbers 5 so that it is talking about an abortion. They justified the need to change the translation saying that they were using better source material. I get that there are two or three options for the New Testament, but for the Old? So when I pointed out that it was a bad translation and you should use KJV they lambasted me for wanting to "change the Bible". Can you imagine the hypocrisy? They change the bible in order to justify abortion and then accuse others of changing the Bible because they want to use the accepted translations. I also pointed out that no Bible verse is of its own interpretation and I could show them ten places in the Bible that condemns abortion and gives abortion as the reason that God sent the Israelis into the good land to dispossess the tribes. To fully understand the hypocrisy, just the night before at dinner the conversation skirted issues that could be seen as political and so everyone demanded that there be no discussion of politics or religion. So they don't ever want to discuss the Bible, and they forbid discussing it, except in the event they are going to use a phony translation to justify abortion.

People in the country illegally don't get the same due process as legal citizens, but they're entitle to certain due process rights. The Donald just want to capture them and ship 'em out. Maga should get busy with comprehensive immigration reform instead of violating the Constitution which they claim to honor. The simple fact is they don't want brown people from other countries coming here, legal or otherwise.

The truth of a proposition is not contingent upon the number of people who believe it.
There's a reason every one of Trump's lawsuits were thrown out by even judges that Trump appointed.

People that weren't wearing a mask were thinking about themselves and super spreaders,they were wearing them just to show loyalty and not because they were thinking of others.
Masks didn't stop the spread of Covid. It was a lie. Since you believed the lie, you believe those who didn't wear masks were selfish and super spreaders. Being naive at the onset of Covid was natural. Being naive now is willful ignorance.

No, that's not what they were thinking. They were thinking there is no benefit to wearing it, and there was harm actually in wearing it. Breathing in carbon dioxide instead of oxygen is harmful. Having teaches wear them stifled the learning of language in young children, and closing schools got children behind in their studies and made life difficult for single parents who didn't have access to childcare.
On the bright side, we did find out we had a lot of unnecessary government employees.
Would you prefer a president who is in bed by 9pm like Biden? Or perhaps Tim Walz giving a billion dollars to terrorists?
