Yes, and much of it is old. That's your opinion. There's good stuff if you look hard.
If you want to go for the oldest you should try singing the Psalms. What are you considering old?
Mostly Christian, but I occaisonally will indulge in non-Christian music. What sort of music do you even listen too?
Worse than being the same, much of it is heretical and very me-me-me...If you're talking praise and worship and pop, yes, much of it is samey.
Sure, and many of the genre's aren't much better when it comes to quality, and content. Especially content. But there are so many other genres out there.

I know a lot of the problem is the people "behind the scenes" so to speak, in christian media. I've read several interviews with members of bands that started out christian, but were rejected by labels because the executives didn't think their lyrics were christian enough, Lifehouse I know was one of those bands. They even started out as a worship band, and while the lyrics over the years have mostly turned to love songs I felt like their first album did reflect at least some christian background.
I think the push for being "christian enough" is a horrible attitude. If they're solely focusing on the content, and less concerned with the actual quality, then yeah, it's going to get neglected and be unoriginal. It's like all the christian bands there used to be that were literally nothing more than a christian rip-off or take on a non-christian band, and that's exactly what the label had in mind. There was 40DT who was the christian Limp Bizkit, another band (I can't think of the name) was a christian metallica. TFK started out as a christian rage against the machine. The producers were so focused on putting a christian message to the style of something non-christian they didn't really care or not if it actually sounded good.
Did I not respond according to your preference? As I said, a lot of music that is popular among evangelicals today is very self-centered and often quite heretical. David Crowder would be an example from one genre.Jimmy, okay. It seems like you're feeling disagreeable and don't like to talk about this too much. Sorry I asked.

Have you ever paid attention to who and what he is involved with?Sorry, the impression I received was that you were trying to dodge the questions. Also, David Crowder - really?
Not some, most. To the extent that I'm not going to take the time to filter it.I agree some praise and worship music is rather self-centered, but certainly not all.
Oh, there is plenty in this stuff. You are what you eat, physically and spiritually. No harm done, brother.
The issue in my opinion isn't with the quality, there are many - artists out there no doubt. I think that much of it is simply lacking in originality.

what really annoys me is is how 1/3'rd of my FM Broadcast dial is "religious" most of it klove or air-one. but thats a whole other topic
