Why do christian woman refuse to wear headscarf when praying?

Incidentally, I was catching up on my Hebrew study updates, and learned of the temple's cleansing ritual that required shaving the hair before entering into a mikveh (ritual bath) and applying the blood on the right ear, thumb, and toe. And I do wonder if there is any relevance to that custom concerning the shaving of the hair here.

Well, *ahem* I overlaid Magnus Publius' face over that of the toga'd Roman, but had to reduce the opacity of it
to blend it with the other to try to make it look more or less like a natural "fit" and without going into excessive
boring details, I did not take the time with it that I normally would with a panel where I am sometimes putting
together parts of five or six different faces to create one new one... for instance, this recent panel:

Interesting, considering the technique you describe of the process, is it coincidence that she now sort of looks like Michael Jackson?

I was just teasing. That my head finally got a body and I got to keep the fedora was far beyond the stick figure drawing I did of you.

I find myself wishing I had acquired the skill that Magenta has mastered but...
....I understand why I wasn't permitted to learn it... I'm probably already going to be in a lot of trouble for what I've only written :cautious:

Dearest Mem... I am a hack compared to people who have mastered Photoshop. I look back at some of
my earlier stuff and cringe LOL. But I do see improvement over time, and that counts for something .:D.

I also know very little of the program, but muddle along with the few tools I use.

I can spend an hour, two hours, three, just trying to get the eyes right.

And then? Ugh. Scrap them and start with a fresh pair of eyes LOL

If you read about the Corinthian Church they were a pretty corrupt Church ----Paul was trying to straighten things out

My knowledge of tradition is limited to what I've been able to skim along the way as a student of "ET"ymology, as I call it, but wearing a wedding ring was a common practice among historical Hebrew culture as much as wearing a head covering to show the distinction of a wife. So, a woman, and more accurately a wife, 'dishonoring her head' here seems to speak better natively to a disregard, or disrespect, toward her husband.

Well, I can't say I agree, because he gives commendation at the beginning of the chapter. If it were a case of rebellious or defiant women, Paul was not shy about rebuking the Corinthians, just as he does at the end of the chapter for their mishandling of the Lords supper. It's much more likely that someone asked for clarification about covering OR they somehow conveyed having a conceptual-error about it to him- as Paul begins by saying "I want you to understand..."/"I would have you know...".

To me, Paul's reasoning as to why men/women ought to be uncovered/covered seem based on principles rather than local custom.
 
You don't have to be a feminist (of any stripe) to see that the claim that any woman who doesn't wear a head covering (besides her hair) is in open rebellion against God and destined for hell is ridiculous.

And no, I'm not a feminist.

It's really stupid that anyone who speaks up for a man is accused of upholding "patriarchy" and that anyone who speaks up for a woman is accused of upholding feminism and rebellion against God's order.

I've posted against feminism many times before in these forums, but I can't get on board with this head covering OP.
