Trump is acting like Pence lives a few states away and has no idea what Pence will do. He's acting like they haven't been in contact for a long time.

Not true. I just watched his speech and he said he and Pence are on the same page.

This does not mean I think Pence will act.

On this site, if you are not far-right, you are going to be considered far-left.
That is not true. How does a Christian support the Democrat platform?

Do you know what it actually is?

At least you acknowledge the left is now actually FAR left.

Direct Questions?

Do you support killing the innocent unborn (Abortion)?

Do you support homosexuality, same sex marriage?

There seem to be the only two issues that matter to the Evangelical christian. I can assure you there are democrats & republicans (not religious) who support abortion.

What you are trying to do to me is decide whether or not I am a Christian based on 2 issues. There are so many. But I will answer honestly.

1) Abortion: under circumstances where the mother's life is endangered or the fetus has a condition that is inconsistent with life, yes, abortion needs to be done. But abortion for convenience, NO. I do believe in birth control and I think that we need to educagte people to use it so that they do not have abortions.

2) Homosexuality: This is not as clear. There are scholars who say that the concept of sexual orientation was not even understood in Biblical times and that the very few (I think 7) references to it are to pedophilia, which is of course a horrendous sin.

I have heard it is a choice. I have thought about this long and hard and I do believe it is NOT a choice. No one would make the choice to be different, to be reviled, and to be destined for Hell. That is insane.
Secondly: I, a heterosexual woman could not make any choice other than beinga heterosexual. So how could they make a choice, unless that isthe way they are? If it is a choice, we could all choose to be LGBQT ... all of those things or none of those things. Think about it.

If I am wrong in my assessment, then God will take care of it, just as He will take care of any sin. My sins and yours.
We are all sinners. No one sin is greater than any other it is said. I disagree. I think that murdering someone is far worse than stealing a bar of chocolate.

And, now, I know what your answers are in advance. You must say abortion is wrong even if themother or child dies.
You must say being gay is wrong even if ... whatever.

I would like to remind everyone regarding abortion: It was legalized in 1973, Roe vs Wade, in the USA by the Supreme Court. The Vote was Republican/yes/9 +Democrats yes/2. You can look it up and it will confirm that what I say is true.

What I think: Jesus is the heart of Christianity. He died for us. Yes. But what about his life. What about his teaching. I was here a few weeks ago and looked through the threads for things about his teachings. Nothing. Oh, I think Sermon on the Mount was posted and no one responded.

Question: If Jesus is the basis for CHRIST-ianity, why do we never talk about his teachings? It seems that his LIFE is very very important. He spent 33years on this earth. He spent years teaching us. And we don't talk about that. Why not? Is that not the Heart of Christianity.

Jesus said the two greatest commandments (my words here)

1) Love God with all your heart and all your soul.
2) Love thy Neighbor as thyself

He said that doing the above covered the other commandments.

So, what about it? Is a homosexual my neighbor? What about those immigrants, what about those Jews, and those Roman Catholics?

So what is a Christian. Is a Christian defined by his politics or Jesus? Which is it going to be? Rhetorical.

Here we go electoral vote counting!

First Up, Arizona!

Arizona House congressman objection to electors being counted, signed in agreement with Senator Ted Cruz, VP Mike Pence received the objection, citing the associated article in the US Constitution, the House and Senate has been excused for debate
The House Debate, Steve Scalise is arguing on the Unconstitutional changes made in the battleground States, he mentioned changes by Secretary of States, bypassing Congress for changes

It appears the complete Republican argument is going to surround these Unconstitutional State Changes, keeping it simple and clear?

That is a question that indicates a preference for what you believe and expecting others to agree.

Let me point out the weakness in that decision. Unless you can correct the behavior of unsaved people in this country and the decisions they have made, immoral and unlawful, then you cannot expect the words of our Savior to be their consideration.

I suggest that your decision to support what you do, is not based on scripture, but your own thinking apparatus.

Forget Trump. The future of this country is not a good one if the current status of the election is allowed to go as is.

We all know that. You wish to interject the teachings of Jesus into the conversation. I can assure you that God is not considering whether or not such a decision was made.

So either accept the whole Bible and what God says about killing, or stop trying to straddle the fence. I don't inject politics into my beliefs. However, I do see the evil that is now trying to strangle anything not in its camp. We are not dealing with flesh and blood. The devil has his stamp all this mess.

Your position on homosexuality is perfectly in line with the leftist "liberals", Gods words speak clearly on homosexuality, your "liberal" claims presented are silenced in the presence of Gods words below

2 Peter 2:6KJV
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

Romans 1:26-32KJV
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly
, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

I dont think you read my entire post. I am not pro abortion except to save the life of mother or child/who is dying. I have been very clear.

What is wrong with us focusing on Jesus' teachings? I think going through the Gospels oneby one would be wonderful. We are CHRIST-ians.

I feel like I am walking on eggshells. Can we not agree to disagree. I read here and post rarely and see lots of arguments about lots of issues.

Perhaps they talked this morning on the subject, and the poker player at the table dosen't show his hand?

Possibly we will know in a few hours what VP Pence is going to do, after the debate on Arizona?

Will VP Pence count the Democratic or Republican electors, will he send the contested electors back to the States?

We will soon find out?

You begin your reply with 'you don't think, followed by your assumption of what you think about ME. That is not your place when you have no idea what I read or did not read. If I respond to someone here, anyone here, I do so with the intent of being accurate. Therefore, your indication that I do not understand what you wrote is wrong.

You are also really far off in this response. Are you trying to throw off the actual things I said?

Please point out to me where I said you were pro-abortion? Really. I would like to see it.

Please point out to me where I said you should not focus on what Jesus taught/ Really. I would like to see it.

I never agree to disagree with anyone. I prefer to correct error when I believe it is error and cannot condone someone misrepresenting what I said. I will say though, that if you misrepresent others as you have me, then I submit you have created the argument yourself.

What I AM saying, is that following Jesus does not mean interjecting politics and laws that go against God into how we proceed. What I am saying, is that you cannot base decisions on voting with the idea that somehow God considers this country a theocracy. I also think that if a person does not vote, they should not, in hindsight, have anything to say. I don't know if you voted or not, so do not take that last bit personally.

If abortion is illegal this country would be clearly Democrat and the Republican party would be irrelevant (the millions of babies aborted are black and brown babies and they grow up to vote Democrat). 90% of African Americans vote Democrat. I don't think the Republican party can have it both ways, both be anti-abortion and increase party base. Just an observation.

It's my opinion your claims are liberal biased, in support of killing the innocent unborn, (Abortion)

To even suggest to kill the innocent unborn in the prospect of killing a future democrat is evil and morbid

Perhaps you need to research (Margaret Sanger) the founder of planned parenthood, the killing chambers of the innocent unborn, this evil person was into eugenics and Hitler followed her teachings, yet the evil democrats support and elevate this evil person to godhood, it appears you ignorant of the facts?

More children from the fit; less from the unfit—that is the chief issue of birth control.

I'm against abortion (except for the exceptions and that should be limited). This is a discussion that Ive had with liberal but antiabortion Christian friends where they admitted their own voters are dying due to abortions.

Many people vote democrat and like me are no pro abortion. Demofrats support many life affirming policies, like Jesus did ... I guess you see that as socialism. He saw it as helping out those less fortunate. Look there are good and bad on both sides.

No, I did not say the left was far left. I was being facetious. Here is what I mean about Jesus supporting what would be some democratic issues (not abortion, ofcourse).
