Bob, there is a lot of me-me-me in your posts and yet you claim the President God raised to be narcissistic?
The letters, and I am thinking of Ephesians, clearly tells us we are no longer our own as we stay in Him, Jesus thoughts become our thoughts, His words become our words.
When we are this obedient He promises to guard and protect we, His own, to the point no attack of the enemy will proper, no sickness, no lack, no poverty, etc.
Many can quote scripture and say they know it but the life does not bear the fruit of that being true.
I have mentioned the science of Neuro- plasticity and how our thought life affects health to the point it is now accepted 95+% of sickness originates from our thoughts. "Every thought held captive" is not something to memorize and regurgitate, it is a command of how to live the successful Christian life here before we stand before Him on our judgement day.
Here is one I found and want to share, just briefly looking at it the mention of "disabling thoughts" more telling than first appears.
Dr. Caroline Leaf puts it well when she states, "most people don't think about what they think about", when our thoughts line up with the Galatians 5 attributes of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, etc. our brain produces complete neuro peptides. If we dwell on the opposite as you appear to with your railing against translations, the President, etc. the brain produces incomplete and negative neuro peptides that produce very negative effects upon the health.
It is the very nature of God that we be healthy, whole, complete, prosperous, etc. especially at a most blessed and favored time and place in human history. If we aren't experiencing His blessing the problem is not on His end, it is ALWAYS down here.
